      But, to answer that: yes, the cashew or almond setting should work for seed milks.
      I got one today but it is going back. As nice as it is, I don't want my nut and seed milks heated all the time and there seems to be no way to turn off the steam function.
      And it takes up a lot of counter space for the amount it makes. My current one makes the same amount and is about the size of a half gallon mason jar

    Thank you for your excellent demo. I really appreciate the clarity. I have one "on order" but I don't feel good about the lid being plastic, rather than glass. Perhaps I misunderstood, can you repeat if the lid is glass. I don't like to drink or eat substance that has been exposed to any heated plastics. Also I have the concern that a prior comment was made about the blades rusting which might create oxidation to the fresh nut milks. Perhaps I'm too petty and could just cold press nuts the hard way, but I'm still excited about giving this new advanced milk maker a fair chance.

    • @the-gadgeteer
      @the-gadgeteer  Před rokem

      The pitcher's lid is plastic but I don't think the liquid really touches it during the milk making process. As for the blades, they do get a bit discolored over time, but I think if you would get a small brush and scrub them a bit before the cleaning process, that would take care of it.

      Try pouring some full strength white vinegar into the blade compartment and let it sit for a few mins and then use a toothbrush to scrub the stains. As for the glass lid, I always wipe it out after each use. You might try using a scrubby pad after the cleaning cycle.

    My family bought this for Christmas for me. I tried it and it worked the first 5 times. I did 1/2 recipes. Then it threw an error code of e15, call the manufacturer. They would not talk to me because I did not purchase it. My son finally talked then into replacing. They asked us to cut the electrical cord and toss. After a long wait we recieved a brand new one. This one only lasted 1 pot before it threw the e15 error. I tried both of them numerous times after the code, but they just don't work. The milk that we got was watered down or chunky. We can no longer return them. Researched a little and they are not designed for use above low altitude. So if you live at 2,000feet it may work. I also did not like that it had to go through the whole milk making process to clean. Each time it would throw an error I would have to unplug it, attempt to clean everything manually and then run a 15 minute cycle to clean it, which usually resulted in another error code. Don't buy

    I just bought this machine on the Christmas Day, and just tried it today.
    What I suggested is that do not place more than 1 cup of nuts into the tank. Otherwise, the milk come out very thick and will make the milk won’t come out, the computer will pop up an error code.
    In other words, for the best result, it is better to make 1 cup of nut for 10 fl oz a up, and then make the second cup for 10 fl oz if you plan to make you make 20 fl oz of nut milk.
