I think the friendship went on the rocks because Francia felt like because she saved Selena's life, she had the right to dictate aspects of her life. She gave the kidney with the expectation that Selena was going to honor the sacrifice by living as clean and healthy as possible. It's not an unreasonable expectation, but it's also not her right to demand that of her. They were able to reconcile because at the end of the day I think they both realized that they loved each other and even the things they were feuding over, like Francia telling Selena not to drink, was from a place of love and concern for her health and wellbeing.

It's completely understandable to expect someone not to drink after you put your own health on the line for them. However, Francia literally went WITH Selena to parties and participated in the drinking. So it's really weird of her to judge Selena for something she did/does herself.
The one who messed up was the social worker. They should have told Francia they were a match first not Selena. That way she would have more time to think about donating her kidney in private but since Selena was the one to tell her they were a match how was Francia supposed to tell her no to her face

Shit I would be mad too if I gave someone a kidney and they not taking care of it, selena if u lose that kidney, u guna have to wait on that waiting list and Francis should be mad becuz if she gets sick n needs a transplant she guna end up on a ten

Nah, I think if you are going to decide to do that for someone, it needs to be with no expectations. If you can’t handle the idea of them doing the very worst to it, then you really just don’t need to be doing it. It’s kinda like how they say don’t loan money to someone unless you can be fine with them never paying it back…only way more so because it’s a kidney

No it wasn't her choice she hijacked her on Facebook and said she was so happy because her and her friend that donated the kidney were a match so she was in a catch-22 and felt like she had no choice but to donate her kidney after it became so public.

This was a huge over redaction on Francia's part. Very sad that a friendship is over because of a press comment is sad. Francia should have known her friends heart.
