Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes." -1 Corinthians 11:23-26

      - John 6:47-51
Jesus explains that His flesh is "that bread", and not that bread is His flesh. Our belief and understanding is all Spiritual. We live in the Spirit...and if we live by the Spirit, we have the Bread and Living Water we need. We MUST be Born Again, and the Will of the Father is to believe in the Son whom He has sent. If we are in Christ and growing in Sanctification, it means we are growing in the Holy Spirit. We must be filled of the Spirit and make it to the end. Let none of us throw away our Salvation by falling away. Remain strong in Christ brothers and sisters. ❤️
Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” They said to him, “Sir, give us this bread always.”

Another incredibly insightful and informative exegesis of the scripture to debunk what significant number of Christians and Christian teachers would have considered impossible to engage with due to limited understanding.
One observation, though, is a particular narrative of Luke in Acts 9 verses 10 - 17. The passage indicates Jesus commissioned Paul with a ministry.
And that turned out to be the ministry of Grace which by implication is the continuation of the ministry of Jesus Christ post-ressurrection.

Challenge for the Muslim: can you show me where in the Quran it says, in these exact words, "you can only attain salvation by doing all these things: take the shahadah, pray five times a day, fast on Ramadan, pay Zakah, go on the Hajj pilgrimage, avoid shirk, don't commit suicide, don't make halal what Allah has made haram, don't commit bid'ah, and ensure your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds on the scales of judgement when you're resurrected". I need a verbatim quote from the Quran and only the Quran without secondary sources given that only Allah determines salvation, and nobody else.
Can't do it? Okay, I'll cut you some slack. Give me a quote from the Quran, of whatever wording you care to mention, that includes all those details as a _requirement for salvation._
Can't do that either? Okay, I'll go easy on you still more. Give me any series of quotes from the Quran that in each and every single instance makes evident that your _salvation depends on fulfilling all those elements without excluding any._
And since you're Shia, I want a quote from the Quran that says your salvation depends on belief in the 12 Imams without which you cannot be Shia.
More, I want a quote from the Quran that asserts you cannot be saved if you "support foreign powers against Muslims in times of war", which I'm sure is what you believe. Can't do any of that? I suggest you stop making arbitrary demands and accept that one's theology derives from a host of sources, not directly from one person or according to one formula. I say that as a non Christian and an ex Muslim.

The Apostles DID NOT think they were converting to some new religion by following the Messiah.
Bob got it right in stating today's Jews are Rabbinic Jews, and don't reflect the Judaism of the time of Jesus. We need to take this even further. The faithful Jews recognised Jesus as the Messiah & divine, and they CONTINUED the worship taught to them by Abraham, Moses & the Prophets. Along with the Gentiles, it is THOSE Jews who later became known as Christians. This was not a title they came up with themselves, but was initially used against them as a derogatory term which they embraced. Those who call themselves Jews today are an innovation - a NEW religion that worships another god, as they rejected God as He revealed himself in His incarnation.
Muslims will often appeal to modern Jewish scholars and interpretations - an appeal to authority. We can easily cut this off at the knees.

So Jibriel would appear in the FORM of TayaKhalbi- convenient excuse for a handsome male neighbor to be at Muhammad’s house at late night hours?? So how did ppl know if it was Jibriel or TayaKhalbi (most handsome man of queresh) walking down the street??? He would use ridiculous excuses for why Jibriel didn’t visit him like oh uhhhh angels won’t come into house w dogs inside. Or when there’s a picture/image. That’s insane. Muhammad had ZERO witnesses. Additionally the so called revelations STOPPED For a period of time after death of Warwuqa -sp?…The uncle of 1st wife Hadija (sorry-don’t know spelling). Why did the revelations Stop After Hadija’s Uncle died? Muhammad became so distraught he’d try to hurl himself off cliffs of mtns. It’s interesting that Hadija’s Uncle was supposedly translating parts of Bible into Arabic at the time.

Just SOME of the verses the man asks for:
    1. "If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3)
    2. Then the Jews answered and said to Him, “Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?”
Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges. Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.”
Then the Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, ‘If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.’ Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Who do You make Yourself out to be?”
Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is [o]your God. Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”
Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going[p] through the midst of them, and so passed by. (John 8)
    3. Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”
And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” (Exodus 3)
    4. Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”
But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”
And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” (Luke 23)
    5. Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things. Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” (Luke 24)
A dead false prophet CANNOT take you to Paradise. Only a living Saviour can.

As an Ethiopia/Eritrean orthodox Christian, I must have love and respect for our Shia brother as I saw humility in him. Sure he said something mockery and childish “should Christians be sucking blood from the crucified Jesus for their salvation “ But that statement is from not understanding. Please please encourage him to read the entire old and New Testament. The Bible deals with humanity in two categories. People of the land=the Israelites that our father Abraham established and people of the sea which is everyone else. When our Lord and savior came to save His own people as He promised to the Israelites and they rejected Him, the salvation was then given to the Gentile, people who are not Jewish (Us the rest of the world)
Now since our Jewish brothers did not embrace the Lord in His first coming, when He came in humility and love but in the second coming Or during tribulation, they will have no choice but to accept Him as their God and Savior once they witness his glory and majesty. They will bow down and confess that he is the true Messiah that their forefathers crushed and crucified. Jacob wrestling with the angel is described in Genesis (32:22-32; also referenced in Hosea 12:3-5). The "angel" in question is referred to as "man" (אִישׁ) and "God" in Genesis, while Hosea references an "angel" (מַלְאָךְ). The account includes the renaming of Jacob as Israel (etymologized as "contends-with-God"). Will finally makes sense to them. Why Jacob struggling the angel and appears to win the battle. Well when they crucified Jesus, they though they won the fight. No more having to deal with this man that claims to be God and came from God….You Muslim brothers will understand the meaning of that verse as well if you open your heart. Remember, Jacob’s name changes to Israel from that moment because they struggled with God and crucified Him when He came as a man, however; when He comes back in His glory and majesty and He shows them His wrath, they will be running to that father and embrace Him as the true God that He is before our Muslim brothers do.
So my Muslim brothers, don’t depend on our Jewish brothers denying of the Messiah because they will have an opportunity during the second coming which we believe they will embrace Him. Remember, we are living in a time of grace that have an expiration date. (When the time of grace ends)The day of the Lord, nobody knows. That day only God the Father knows, I ask you in love and humility to read your entire Bible (old and new) and not just read Bible verses that fits to your current believes but please read all verses. Example, our Muslim brothers will quote Issaya 42 saying that was about Mohammad since it mentions Islamic places, but if you keep reading all the way to Issaya 53, then the person who will be crushed and dies for our transgressions certainly is not Mohammad.
    Peace be with you All.
Also, you say “peace be with Isa(Jesus) when he is the owner of peace and peace do not depart from Him ever. You say Isa was tortured but never died (we have biblical evidence that He died) You say, we love Jesus too, but the Isa that you refer to is not the same as the Jesus Christ that we worship. We don’t believe in 3 Gods. We believe in one God with three persons. God the Father, God the Son, God the holly Sprite. Speaking of the Holly Sprit, since you believe it is ark angels Gabriel whom We Christians believe to be one of the 7 seraphim, but not the holly sprit.
By the way, I love my Jewish brother, because they rejected Him, the rest of the world got the opportunity to be saved. But my Jewish brothers will be saved (the once who accept Him in his second coming) as well. So Jewish people--Thank you for your stubborn heart that that requires suffering to search for the true God. History after history tells us, you ran to your Father in true humility in struggle and pain. Never in peace. That is the reason why, you will accept the messiah in the time of turbulence in the second coming. Read Book of Enoch and John revelation that explains the divinity of Christ.
    Peace be with you….

6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in various trials

10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets who foretold the grace to come to you searched and investigated carefully,
11 trying to determine the time and setting to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.
12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, when they foretold the things now announced by those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

for the reliability of the gospels what every christians should know you have 2 kind of informations 1) the truth, which is the testimony of the church fathers who actually knew who wrote the gospels , where they wrote their gospels and based on what. scholars that reconize the testimony of the church fathers concerning the new testament can be consider as your scholars as a christian because they reconize the truth. 2) conspiracy nons sens , all "scholars" that reject the testimony or contradict the testimony of the church fathers basically reject the truth therefore they must make up theories of conspiracy non sens. they can present themselves as christians to sell their books or give conferences but you are dealing with childrens of satan.
when muslims come to you and tell you "your scholars " says , they are talking about the second category, the childrens of satan.
i just give references for the gospel of matthew i dont have the others with me but you need to search for what the church fathers testifie about the gopels of mark luke and john in order to know in what conditions thoses gospels were written and based on what.
    for matthew:
matthew wrote his gospel in hebrew for a jewish audiance. then others translated his gospel after. proofs:
Matthew composed the words in the Hebrew dialect, and each TRANSLATED as he was able. (Papias, 150-170 CE, quoted by Eusebius, Eccl. Hist. 3:39)
Matthew also issued a written gospel among the Hebrews in their own dialect. (IrenAeus, 170 CE, Against Heresies 3:1)
Concerning the four Gospels which alone are uncontroverted in the Church of God under heaven, I have learned by tradition that the Gospel according to Matthew, who was at one time a publican and afterwards an Apostle of Jesus Christ, was written first; and that he composed it in the Hebrew tongue and published it for the converts from Judaism (Origen commentary on the gospel of matthew book 1)

I presume that you are an evangelical christian and you believe in the doctrine of the trinity and vicarious atonement but not doing good works then you also believe as long as a man who rapes and murders your daughter and then repents and later on sin the same sin or a man rapes and murders your sister and then repents and later on sin the same sin or a man rape and murders your mother and then repents and later on sin the same sin or rapes and murders your wife and then repents and later on sin the same sin and evangelical christian still believes in the doctrine of the trinity and also believes that Jesus Christ died on the cross for his sins that he will be forgiven and will go to heaven and despite continuing to rape and murder innocent people but will still go to heaven as he still believe in the doctrine of the trinity and also as long as he still believes that Jesus died on the cross because you believe that this man is your evangelical christian brethren who you will embrace him but you also believe that good works are just like dirty rags according to your apostle Paul as your apostle Paul also said that faith alone believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins they you are forgiven and will go to heaven is your only salvation.
According to christian evangelical theology, good works are the consequence of salvation and not its justification. They are the sign of a sincere and grateful faith. They include actions for the Great Commission, that is, Christian evangelism, service in the Church and charity. So Good works is a consequence but not a necessity for christian evangelical salvation. That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. ~Romans 10:9-10 You cannot be saved by your good works, because no matter how hard you try, your “good” is not good enough for the perfectly holy and completely righteous God who alone grants salvation. Nor can you be saved by your moral perfection-no matter how moral or how perfect you are. As the Old Testament prophet Isaiah points out, your righteousness is about as good as a “snot rag”. (Isaiah 64:6 ). I have actually cleaned that up a bit, because the Hebrew phrase for filthy rags, ukabeged ehdim, literally means, “like as rags of menstruation.”
Sorry if that disgusts you, but it’s Scripture-so blame Isaiah. The point is, both our acts of righteousness, and the quality of righteousness that we hope they produce, are disgusting to God. So if you are disgusted by Isaiah’s language, think of how God, who inspired Isaiah to choose those coarse words, is repulsed by our efforts to get him to save us. So what hope, then, is there for our salvation? Well, frankly, no hope resides within us. None whatsoever. Ephesians 2:1 says “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins.” That’s how hopeless we are apart from God’s work to save us. You see, all a dead person can do is lay there and be dead, let alone try to be righteous before God.

After all, when Mohammed moved to Medina he lived the life of a war-lord who robbed, raped, committed adultery, murdered and enslaved women and little children. when the muslim tell you jesus didn't say himself that he shed the blood of the new covenant or died for our sins it's false:
matthew 26:27 Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
plus jesus predict his death and resurection: Matthew 16:21-23: From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”[1]
Mark 8:31-33: And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. He spoke this word openly. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, “Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”[2]
Luke 9:21-22: And He strictly warned and commanded them to tell this to no one, saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.”[3]
Matthew 17:22-23: Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up.” And they were exceedingly sorrowful.[4]
Mark 9:30-32: Then they departed from there and passed through Galilee, and He did not want anyone to know it. For He taught His disciples and said to them, “The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him. And after He is killed, He will rise the third day.” But they did not understand this saying, and were afraid to ask Him.[5]
Luke 9:43-45: But while everyone marveled at all the things which Jesus did, He said to His disciples, “Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.” But they did not understand this saying, and it was hidden from them so that they did not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this saying.[6]
Matthew 20:17-19: Now Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples aside on the road and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again.” [7]
Mark 10:32-34: Now they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going before them; and they were amazed. And as they followed they were afraid. Then He took the twelve aside again and began to tell them the things that would happen to Him: “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles; and they will mock Him, and [a]scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again[8]
Luke 18:31-34: Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon. They will scourge Him and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.” But they understood none of these things; this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know the things which were spoken.[9]
Matthew 26:32 But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”[18]

Jesus does not mention that at all.
That’s your problem. Your essential religious belief which is the acknowledgment of Jesus dying for our sins is not a commandment which Jesus himself has ordained or commanded that we must believe in.

@@Religiousstudies2000 You remind me the passage in Matthew where Jesus is addressing the question on why Jesus talks in parables to the people.
      Matthew 10:10-17
10The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”
11He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13This is why I speak to them in parables:
      “Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
14In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:
      “ ‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
      15For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
      hear with their ears,
      understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.’ a
16But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
The answer to your question is found in the literal actions of Jesus. You want to know where Jesus says in words that he will die for sins, but he litterally did it. He fulfilled prophecy the entire time, his ministry on earth proved he was who he said he was, the “I am” referenced in the Old Testament. He was put on the cross for this very reason. If you can’t see how the actions of Jesus’ life prove that he died for sins that’s your problem. You read the story but don’t see, you hear bob but don’t understand.

His Holy Spirut lives in us and changes us (sanctified us) to be more like Him.

This muslim (like the rest) is demanding words from JESUS'S mouth Himself.
In Matthew 28:19 Jesus said to His disciples: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.........
Jesus gave AUTHORITY to His disciples, to TEACH people in His name.
That means, what Jesus had to say to the world, His disciples can do the SAME.

Christians try to interpret the gospels with Paulien presuppositions.
Jesus is explicit. He was only sent to Israel.
Nations in the context of the separate gospels are the tribes of Israel.
If he was sent for the gentiles. He did a terrible job.

If this guy TRULY accepts Peter, then he must accept that Jesus is his God, his Savior, the suffering servant of Isaiah 53, and that Paul is inspired by God.
1 Peter 2:21-25 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. “He committed no sin and no deceit was found in his mouth.” (Isaiah 53) When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. “He himself bore our sins” (Isaiah 53) in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” (Isaiah 53) For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
2 Peter 3:15 Consider also that our Lord’s patience brings salvation, just as our beloved BROTHER PAUL also wrote you with the wisdom God gave him.
2 Peter 1:1 To those who through the righteousness of OUR GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST have received a faith as precious as ours

Most biblical scholars reject those epistles. Moreover Peter was uneducated as your own book says.
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

@@Religiousstudies2000 That's a very ironic reply, wow. You claimed that you'd accept something from Peter, but when you get these verses, you reject them because "most biblical scholars" said so, which is a claim you are yet to prove. You're acting like there's some board of commission where they vote on authorship. Lynn Cohick, Craig Keener, Gary Burge, Gene Green, Thomas Schreiner, ect all affirm Peter's authorship.
You then proceed to use the very same New Testament you discredited during this debate to try and argue that Peter was uneducated. A classic case of circular reasoning there. It's only reliable when you want it to be reliable.
Secondly, I want to address your claims about the Gospel of Mark since you seem to hold scholarship in high regards (although these same scholars affirm that Jesus was crucified and died, which you and your Quran deny). I'm going to actually give you a reference to a survey about the authorship of Mark. PHD New Testament scholar Mike Licona had a grad student who did a survey of critical NT scholars since the 1960s on Mark. The MAJORITY of them affirm that John Mark is the author of Mark, and that PETER is his main source. ("Was Peter Mark's Source for the Gospel of Mark") You can go watch the 40+ minute long video on Licona's channel.
Furthermore, your Quran in Surah 48:29 attempts to quote from the Gospel of Mark chapter 4. Not to mention Surah 5:47 where we are told to judge by the Gospel we have. What Gospel did we have? And don’t play games with you have 4 gospels plural! Because I have quotes from the early Church calling the New Testament “the Gospel” or the fourfold Gospel.
