No, it is not weird because simply we do not believe your bible the new testament nor the old testament are from God or inspired by God, we believe they are corrupted and there is very little remain from the actual bible or the Torah today, the rest are just written by men. If you read the four gospel if you see no one of the four wrote luke, matt, mark or john claimed to be inspired By God to wrote those four gospels.

Your attempt to justify and explain slavery is just laughable. My friend slavery was deep rooted in ancient time and same Islam neither condones or condemns because it was reality at that time and it was hard to get rid of it, but Islam made rules and laws to reduce it it as it prohibited slavery in all cases except those fighters who got caught fighting. In another meaning slavery only allowed if some people fought you and then you managed to defeat them and captures them then you are allowed to enslave them and this practice of using captured fighters as slave was in use in Europe till word war2 even in Britain.

So, when they entered, Ibn Az-Zubair entered the screened place and got hold of 'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her), his aunt. He was requesting her to forgive him and wept. Al-Miswar and 'Abdur-Rahman also pleaded on his behalf and requested her to speak to him and to accept his repentance. They said to her: "The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade to cut off relationship because it is unlawful for any Muslim not to talk to his (Muslim) brother (or sister, for that matter) for more than three (days)." So when they persisted in urging and reminding her of the superiority of having good relation with kith and kin, she began to weep, saying: "I have made a vow which is a matter of very serious nature." They persisted in their appeal till she spoke with 'Abdullah bin Az-Zubair, and she freed forty slaves as an expiation for breaking her vow. Later on, whenever she remembered her vow, she would weep so much that her veil would become wet with tears.
