We have the hadith narration from disciples of our prophet by name , where they was born, age, their profession, recitation standard and who wrote the passages transmitted from mohamed in every category of the Quran. If current day christianity had the same standard it would be uncontested and indisputable. Muslims did all those work to be accountable. Where is our Christians friends transparency ?. Saying they were unknown authors destroys any logical human to believe and actually proves the Quran right when it says bible is corrupted. May the most merciful guide you.

@@samizakariya5155 Mzms always have failed to see the forest thru the trees. Tell me how a he said, he said, his uncle said is more reliable than God directly speaking to a prophet or apostle?! Tell me how 10s to 1000s of witnesses vs zero witnesses at all helps proves legitimacy. Tell me how using some supposedly significant name (of someone u can’t prove existed) as credit means anything when there’s literally 1000s of subwriters. Tell me how knowing someone’s birth place, grandparents names and entire backstory even proves the message real or true? God knows ur own scholars admit Hafs was a liar and literary thief and yet 98% of mzms today completely ignore that. Ur stoopid Q writers erroneously thought that by adding in every little detail down to how many rocks someone wiped his butt w that that somehow added to the story’s believability all the while being incapable of remembering what they just said lol. Stop being so naive.
As for the Bible’s authors, we know who wrote the books and did long before ur 11th c “corrupted Bible” accusation came along, but let’s pretend we don’t. Unlike ur Q, our bible supports itself thruout itself and when not prophesying in one place, it’s fulfilling it in the other. For every verse u find, you’ll find the same written or alluded to elsewhere. Ur Q doesn’t even have two completed stories let alone two of the same. When ur god and profit can’t remember what they just said, it’s high time to realize it’s bs.

if you want to see real contradiction and nonsens. look here at at the bible. Many passages have been added by scribes eager to insert their own stories and beliefs. 1 John 5:7-8 and Mark 16:9-20 are just a couple of examples. These and dozens of other passages were NOT written into the Bible and yet they are included in most Bibles today.
Many passages have been changed to avoid embarrassing situations and contradictions. Methuselah once lived 15 years beyond the great flood, Now he is killed off in the year of the flood. Goliath was 6 feet nine inches tall when he fought David. Now he is three feet taller than that. Same Goliath was killed twice, first by David, then, many years later, by Elhanan. Eventually, someone got this bright idea of adding the words the brother of in front of Goliath, thus creating a brother for Goliath and removing the contradiction.

Those that deny christ will not be saved. What a beautiful life jesus lived, what beautiful teachings, what wonderful miracles, what a loving sacrifice. Compare that to mohammed, any intelligent being can see he was not from God. Who is the best to follow looking at them both in parallel. Even if mohammed himself said he was not from God muslims would still not believe. The brain washing is so immense that it seems like an almost impossible task to help people get saved. We have very little time until the day of the Lord, I hope God will help by entering there hearts. Now what is absurd is that jesus is supposedly going to come and confirm mohammed, the problem here is that they taught the complete opposite. Now if jesus was a muslim then why did jesus teach a completely different message. What mohammed met in that cave was a demon not an angel, no angel of the Lord has ever caused harm to a prophet and has always introduced itself. Mohammed knew he got revelations from satan but could not tell the difference. Why would satan leave him once he had mohammed in his grasp. Why should he be believed after this.

There's many times, where Jesus asked us questions....but NOT because He didn't know the answer, but so that in our answering, we reflect on ourselves and what we're saying. Jesus always knows people heart and mind, even when He walked among us. When the lady who has been ill and bleeding for years came running up and touched His tassel from behind as He walked among the crowds that followed Him, He turned around and asked, who touched Him, because He felt power come out from Him. We must remember that Jesus always spoke with wisdom, and that there's good reason for all He did. Jesus has always know everything, this is why He knew things before they happened, and could hear people's thoughts and answered them. God knows our thoughts.
    Matthew 9:4
"But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?"
Jesus knew in detail, the lady who was living in adultery, and she could not believe how He knew al that while nobody else but herself knew. Only God can know everthing about us.
    Titus 2:13-14 ❤️

However, this appears to be a very uncommon occurrence at the speakers' corner mostly it ends up as a shouting match or melee and on one occasion a stabbing!
Congratulations Bob for having this debate as you have clearly identified the litmus test for deciding which belief is true simply on the evidence. It was clearly a slam dunk in favor of Christianity

@@samizakariya5155 That is why Christians would never believe that because our Bible says Jesus was crucified, died, was buried, and on the 3rd day he rose again. Our Bible says that Jesus died and saved us from sin he was not saved - he saved. And is sitting at the right hand of The Father. Jesus does not have "a Lord" because he is Lord. Jesus was taken to his father. Thanks be to our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. By the way, we like to spell Jesus with a CAPITAL "J" - we Christians do this because it shows a certain level of respect to our Savior, but its also just a respectful thing to do even if you are not a believer. ... The Roman Longilus (the one who thrust the spear into Jesus and got water). Hence, the spear or destiny is known as the Spear of Longilus. It is said that Longilus said, "truly this is the Son of God".
... We have eyewitnesses of the crucifixion - not only by Jesuss' friends and families - but also by Roman Soldiers.
... we have scriptural notices that say, "the great curtain between the Holies of Holies (where God resided) torn from top to bottom.

I ask anyone, "if no one witnessed this, how did they know the curtain (between the Holies of Holies) did split in two.
... After Jesus was died, buried and resurrected, multiple people saw him (this was far before the internet, and or any other electronic capacity to transmit his likeliness). Was this mass hysteria or actual sightings of Jesus?
... Not only did eyewitnesses see Him (jesus) multiple non-christian historians wrote:
    -
That dead Carpenter (note the definitive word "that") that the Roman nailed to a cross existed. That = a definitive article - noting a specific person, not a general person.

Even Greek historians noted "that or "the" dead carpenter - who the Romans killed on a cross". Again, note the definitive articles - not general.

All humans are going to sin even after receiving God's grace after repentance that is why believing catholics confess their sins to their catholic priest on a weekly basis to first repent for the sins they have committed for that week and then ask for absolution from their catholic priest.
The evangelical christian belief states for a evangelical christian to go to heaven they must believe in the doctrine of the trinity , they must believe in the vicarious atonement and they must repent after they commit a sinful deed. Saved Not by Good Works To be clear, good works are bad when they are seen as the basis of salvation. A person is not saved by works but by God's grace through faith in Christ. The Apostle Paul explains: For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Eph. 2:8-10) Works are not meritorious. Salvation is "not your own doing" and "not a result of works." Even the faith through which we receive salvation is a gracious gift from God. As fallen creatures, our best efforts are laced with sin.
To borrow from Francis Schaeffer, how many finite buckets of good works would it take to fill the infinite gulf that exists between God and us because of our sin? Good works provide no basis for boasting because they are utterly worthless to save. The only foundation for salvation is Christ. We are saved by His works, not ours. To be clear, good works are bad when they are seen as the basis of salvation. A person is not saved by works but by God's grace through faith in Christ. How would you argue the thieves on the cross? The one saw him as the Savior, and what did that "Jesus" tell him? Why would a fake "Jesus" say what he said after that? I highly doubt that a "sane" disciple would Jesus' place on the cross, especially when they all hid, and Peter denied knowing him, because he was protecting himself? So what, Islam dough boy, would you say to that? I think about the pain Jesus endured and the actions of the disciples. Some Muslims say Judas took his place. Wrong. Judas was dead the next day after he fingered Jesus. Judas repented and punished himself of what he did. Days after that, was Jesus crucified. Other Muslims say it was Thomas who took his place. Are you kidding me? Thomas was a coward and a doubter...and who observed Jesus' hands and side after the Resurrection? Thomas! So, two groups of Muslims are proved wrong by scripture. Even if we go only with what Peter taught in 1Peter1 Jesus suffered, shed his blood, and died for the forgiveness of sins.....and all this through crucifixion......1Peter 2: 24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

Allah did not leave any key to the truth, he left more deception:
7:157 "Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper."
61:6 And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, "this is evident sorcery!"
First question: Where in the TORAH and GOSPELS do we read of an unlettered prophet?
Second question: Where in the Bible does Jesus give glad tidings of a messenger to come after him whose name shall be Ahmad (not Qutham ibn Abd Al-Lat)?

  • @Religiousstudies2000

    Bobs arguments
    1. The oral teaching predating the gospels which the Gospel of Luke alludes to in the beginning of his gospel
    2. The consensus of the gospels in the New Testament confirming the crucifixion.
    3. Writings of the early church fathers such as Ignatius
    4. Consensus of secular historians
    5. Early pagan non Jewish historians
    My refutation
    1. All of those individuals are unknown, hence I won’t place my salvation in the hands of people who’s names I don’t even know
    2. I’ve shown how gospel writers copy from each other and change parts of the accounts when the account doesn’t suite them. The example I gave where Mark/Mathew copy from one another word for word is as follows: in the gospel of Matthew we read “-let the reader understand- then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” In the gospel of mark it says the exact same thing verbatim. An example where the gospel writers change wordings is as follows: we read in the gospel of mark “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good-except God alone.” In the gospel of Matthew the negation is changed as we read the following “Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” The part where Jesus questions the man is gone and the part where Jesus asked the man why he calls him good and that God alone is purely good are all ever so slightly changed in the gospel of Mathew. Moreover the gospels have undoubtedly been corrupted after they were written as per John 8 and potentially Matthew 28:19 due to eusebius quoting the verse by only mentioning the son and not the other two components of the trinity. Also, no where do we read that the authors mention that Jesus gave them the authority to write about him.
    3. The church fathers based their faith on the gospels which I’ve just proven to be vary shaky and they all came after 33 AD.
    4. This part here was really disingenuous in my opinion. Because this is not a buffet where you pick and chose. If you deem secular historians as an authority you should no longer be a Christian. As it is true that the crucifixion of Jesus is verified historically (in the framework of the secular study of the history of religion) it is also true that those same historians negate the divinity of Christ and they negate the virgin birth as being ahistorical... so why pick and chose. The historical conclusion about Jesus is that he was a zealot who preached about the coming of apocalyptic events and that he died via crucifixion. No Christian believes all of that so again why pick and choose? Consistency is key.
    5. Again all of those came after 33 AD so they were simply narrating what people were preaching it’s quite an insignificant point to mention in a debate which centres on who’s theology is true or not with regards to the crucifixion of Christ.

I presume that you are an evangelical christian and you believe in the doctrine of the trinity and vicarious atonement but not doing good works then you also believe as long as a man who rapes and murders your daughter and then repents and later on sin the same sin or a man rapes and murders your sister and then repents and later on sin the same sin or a man rape and murders your mother and then repents and later on sin the same sin or rapes and murders your wife and then repents and later on sin the same sin and evangelical christian still believes in the doctrine of the trinity and also believes that Jesus Christ died on the cross for his sins that he will be forgiven and will go to heaven and despite continuing to rape and murder innocent people but will still go to heaven as he still believe in the doctrine of the trinity and also as long as he still believes that Jesus died on the cross because you believe that this man is your evangelical christian brethren who you will embrace him but you also believe that good works are just like dirty rags according to your apostle Paul as your apostle Paul also said that faith alone believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins they you are forgiven and will go to heaven is your only salvation.
According to christian evangelical theology, good works are the consequence of salvation and not its justification. They are the sign of a sincere and grateful faith. They include actions for the Great Commission, that is, Christian evangelism, service in the Church and charity. So Good works is a consequence but not a necessity for christian evangelical salvation. That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. ~Romans 10:9-10 You cannot be saved by your good works, because no matter how hard you try, your “good” is not good enough for the perfectly holy and completely righteous God who alone grants salvation. Nor can you be saved by your moral perfection-no matter how moral or how perfect you are. As the Old Testament prophet Isaiah points out, your righteousness is about as good as a “snot rag”. (Isaiah 64:6 ). I have actually cleaned that up a bit, because the Hebrew phrase for filthy rags, ukabeged ehdim, literally means, “like as rags of menstruation.”
Sorry if that disgusts you, but it’s Scripture-so blame Isaiah. The point is, both our acts of righteousness, and the quality of righteousness that we hope they produce, are disgusting to God. So if you are disgusted by Isaiah’s language, think of how God, who inspired Isaiah to choose those coarse words, is repulsed by our efforts to get him to save us. So what hope, then, is there for our salvation? Well, frankly, no hope resides within us. None whatsoever. Ephesians 2:1 says “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins.” That’s how hopeless we are apart from God’s work to save us. You see, all a dead person can do is lay there and be dead, let alone try to be righteous before God.
