- Both Anchor Girl and I were very happy to get the new canvas on our boat, Boogaboo. The whole team from Canadian Yacht Tops did a great job and we were impressed with both the innovative extra features, as well as the very quick turnaround time!
Have a look at the video to see how they can do a complete canvas replacement in as little as five days (ours only took four days), as well as the facilities, including a unique drive in, covered slip where the work is done.

Absolutely a nice canvas and nice speciell features to make the canvas more safe( from rain etc) and easier to handle. Great Job from the maker. I love it.

You can! It would be worth it just for the adventure, as the Erie Canal could take you over to Oswego, across Lake Ontario to Trenton and Mile '0' of the Trent Severn Waterway. Then it's a quick, five day run up to Lake Simcoe and over to CYT. I'm sure Craig would be happy to help you dock at his shop ;-) What an awesome voyage that would be!!

Happy Friday Paul. I'm very excited, thanks to you I called Craig at Canadian Yacht Tops this week, and booked in my boat for a new custom mooring top on the week of the March Break. He will be making a template and fabricating a new button/snap top. We can't wait to see what this mystro is going to create. Very much worth hauling it a couple of hours up the marina. your canvas looks excellent makes me wish I lived in Canada just so I could go use Canadian yacht tops this year but I love the idea of the frown window openings I'm going to have to have my canvas lady do the same thing and just like one of the other comments a little Common Sense does go a long way. congratulations hitting 5000. you should do a giveaway someday have some flags made up four other boat owners that say"i follow Boogaboo". just an idea I'm going to go enjoy my hot summer day that just arrived and do the same thing crack a beer relax on the boat thanks for the awesome video cheers

The next one is just a boring How To video from when I rebuilt the water pump on our Westerbeke generator. But the one after has some sweet shots of me planing accross a dead flat calm lake!
I'm having a difficult time getting the chronology worked out. Wish you had numbered them so I can get up to date. I'll survive, of course, but with my OCD, not being able to organize them for viewing is making me a little crazy.
A happy First Mate/Anchor Girl makes for a happy captain. Hey, maybe some day we'll talk you into heading over to the light side, or buying a sailboat.

Nice job on the canvas! With in the next month or so we're replacing our canvas to the camper canvas. We have West Coast Canvas who's also a top notch guy we're using. He's done my prior boats and soooo satisfied when you get quality work done right! He's a little more then the others but it's well worth it. We are looking at cockpit rug replacement as well. Our guy showed a descent rug, forgot the name but it's also wine resistant which is a ++. Your rug looks awesome with the canvas!!! Way to go! Just got back from a campin trip and headed to the boat this weekend for 3 days! Your vid got me energized!!
+RNdlp RNdlp Yes, the new carpet is one more thing g to make it feel 'clean'. As I alluded to in the video, the old one was at the end of its life cycle and semi permanently stuck to the deck. I had to scrape and clean it off with laquor thinners!
I, too am gonna try to sneak out Thursday evening and make it a three day weekend. But don't tell anyone 😉
BoatsBeachesAndBars what editing program do you use? I'm still tryin to find the time to get this video out. I'll do a quick one and try to get it out today.
I've been using Sony Vegas for years. Does all I need it to do. There are more sophisticated programs out there, but like the stick in the mud I am, I'm happy with it.

Sure, a heat gun would work if they're just vinyl lettering. If they are, you might also be able to use a stripe removal tool like I used this Spring to remove the striping on our boat; czcams.com/video/FTFrQvsEG-I/video.html

Strange the zipper colour is not the same as the canvas colour.
+Cruising With Ranger Tug Wanderer Nothing strange about it, we chose to go that way, to give the top some contrast. Doing everything in one colour would have made it look too monochromatic.
Bottom line, Anchor Girl is happy 😀

I do upholstery and I have some questions. 1) Why black for the zipper color instead of white or tan? 2) Why not hide the zippers with the beige material and a mating bound strip? 3) And why isn't there outer facing on the transom door? They just sewed through the clear to the inside facing. It's A GREAT job but some choices have me scratching my head.
