I’m sure definitely the first round and whatever round he could maintain the strategy of preserving endurance, he took it. focused on conserving energy which was Silva knew was going to likely be a “disadvantage” in this fight because of his age difference to Jake. L, meaning he would need to equal Jake’s speed and power while keeping this in mind. Plus, it’s a common tactic too if means you will have to use more energy than him in order to equal his speed and power. That’s why he was able to have the endurance to last the whole 8 rounds. He’s a professional so I’m sure there are other smart tactics he might have used, like letting the opponent mistaken they are weaker than they are so the opponent will spend more energy. Jake seemed to move a lot around the ring and I’m sure this dampened his blows, leading his blows to look a little clumsy.

The only thing puzzling to me was how Silva basically handed Jake round 1 by throwing a single punch in the entire round. Maybe because of his age and mileage he just doesn't have the gas tank that he use to and was conserving his energy, but that just didn't sit well with me.

I’m sure definitely the first round and whatever round he could maintain the strategy of preserving endurance, he took it. focused on conserving energy which was Silva knew was going to likely be a “disadvantage” in this fight because of his age difference to Jake. L, meaning he would need to equal Jake’s speed and power while keeping this in mind. Plus, it’s a common tactic too if means you will have to use more energy than him in order to equal his speed and power. That’s why he was able to have the endurance to last the whole 8 rounds. He’s a professional so I’m sure there are other smart tactics he might have used, like letting the opponent mistaken they are weaker than they are so the opponent will spend more energy. Jake seemed to move a lot around the ring and I’m sure this dampened his blows, leading his blows to look a little clumsy.

yea these losers will do anything to take credit. The kid has been foghting for 3-4 hrs for fks sake.
