Community still cries about this armour "is op" even after big nerf? 🤡🤡🤡🤡 they asked to fix horcegang mechanic - ok - but did they ask devs to add for armour smth back for a compensation ? nope those rats will never done this cause they are thinking only for their own asses (how the hell armour counteres their lovely op assault rifles XD) - what else i can hear from a dumb persons which i met sometimes in discord chat - who told me that even 75% resistance agains broken firearm is too op🤣🤣🤣
Lol i can proove that heavy plate now is weak trash, not op at all
WHat minuses grants armour to u? speed decrease in 50>% if full set, decreased vision if full set, no able to aim because of full set, u still need to heal urself (because torso resistance is damn weak trash) and waste ur time on healing while enemy can shoot you! and what does armour give you back? yep nothing
For example to heavy plate helmet u deal 5 damage with ak right? how many bullets does AK throw per seconds if the fire is nonstop? around 3-4 bullets per second right? so u deal 15-20 damage per second - lol what dumb people saw in heavy plate the overwoperdness i dont know, if the assault rifles (mashineguns whatever) themselves are super op in rust - but what a bout the weakiest part of heavy plate like torso? 75% resistance is nothing cause most of damage comes to torso while no one shoots in head now - AK will deal a 12 damage to torso which is around 9 shots to finish heavy plate (10 shots if heavy plate user has 120 HP) still op damage - the funny thing that even if sniper rifle is strong - its fires really slow and has low DPS which allows heavy plate user to heal or cover - and what does a mashine gun to heavy plate? yep it give armour no chances to hold this op damage of mashineguns and assault rifles (any kind) cause they have gigantic DPS
There are lots of prooves why currently heavy plate is not op at all and is weak ( but we also have incendiary op bullets which ignore armour resistances only of heavy plate armour type - mmmmmmm good right? how those devs ruined my favourite armour) Devs also nerfed metallic horse armour which made it useless trash as well looooool XD instead of just disable to use horse while wear the heavy armour - lets nerf all things to trash like ))) who loves truth if it cuts them? everyone will prever a sweet lie

I agree but hitting consistent 4 bullet headshots on ak every second is impossible for probably 75-85% of rust players
how tragic to see crybabies who want to constantly raid opponents at the snap of a finger without any resistance of difficulties - when u see they cry on everything that disturbs them

Literally any buff you can make to solo/duo/trio will also apply to clans, it's always been a game of numbers
I remember everyone in my clan would roam with a full mag of incendiary ammo in their invo in case we came across horse gang.

When the clan loses every roam these are the strats that were created. They usually had a hot air balloon following the horses, this is what put it over the edge trying to fight HG
I did a wipe with an 8 man during the later years of copycat horse gangs and came up with a novel solution.
Incin ammo, mp5 and watchtowers, place a watchtower and climb, at first they'd try to also come up, but then whip out the incin mp5 and melt headshots on them, would kill 1-5 including horses and the rest would run away.
Got to a point on this particular wipe when the horses were on the horizon and charging at us, as soon as we placed a watch tower or two they'd just run away.
Could never raid their village style oxums towers though.

I remember doing this solo, was so funny wiping an entire clan by myself. I even made a farm to get 120 hp with berries xD
It would have made sense to just make the horse move alot slower, still faster than walking with heavy armor but not enough to do what that clan did. Removing the ability to get on the horse makes no sense when the horse can wear armor and carry two people.
when i first started playing rust one of the most surreal and insane thing i saw was over 100 people all riding horses pass by the road beside my 3 mans base instantly 3 of us were doubled and HG was there tag. Good times

But that is what makes Rust fun in my eyes, obviously it needed a vast rework or removal for longevity's sake, however the game breaking and unique strats are what makes Rust unique from almost all other games of it's kind. As the dev-team works very diligently to fix them after they occur making them much more fun in the moment knowing that your time with them is more than likely limited.
Before Horsegang was formed we used the meta in a clan called UGE which was a group that played on Rustafied medium, I still remember the first day we used the horse + heavy armour strat with Donald, it was the most fun I have had in Rust in ages, just roaming around with a maxed out horse, with a pump filled with incen shells.

And I still might have afatnugget in my friends list somewhere.

Me being a horse gang member for a while you forgot the mention the balloon meta we used to use and we used to glitch the mouse pointer in the middle of our screen and change our mouse pointer to a cross... + the virtually unaidable base design we used to exploit using vending machines. Also building Bradly bases and baiting Bradly to it on horses so its encounterable.

I remember you guys on rusty moose main, it was cancer to deal with. I played solo for the most part or sometimes ran with lifestomper's group while he was streaming. I think coconut B still has PTSD over this.

First game of rust, first day on the road and no idea what to do and getting bullied by those guys. Then I stoped playing rust until I saw their videos about it! They made me realize that there was a lot of ways to play rust and that’s why I keep playing it even though I suck at pvp. You showed me (unintentionally) the real ways of rust!!
when the max life pots came out this became beyond godmode... shit was fun af but tbh we wouldnt do it too much cuz it was so crazy op.

I started playing rust this year and my first wipe after finding heavy armor I instantly thought about riding a horse with it on lol, but was told that is was patched. Now I know why.
as someone who played main during horsegangs peak arc, it was straight hell, at first it was funny and kinda cool to see newer less known players do something to win against better roamers, but it quickly devolved into a straight up degenerate playstyle, they would only clean fights and theyd ac130 every roam, they started to loose to ppl on rocks so theyd tc off rocks in spots they wanted to roam. The group was cool but their initial ego from winning got the better of them and made everyone hate them

I was in horse gang let me just say your words are very kind. I remember the absolute chaos in our group. We had very cool base designs made by Blake like a “mathematically unraidabld base with all box’s and tc each behind vending machines. However it was a shit show 99% of the time lol. Most of the group would quit by day 3 and we almost never did more than 1-2 raids.
lol i remember that shit base, blake was a terrible leader and the americans in the group did nothing but sit in base (except the farm team)
I died a few times beacuse of horseriders like this, but I never thought it was that bad, like in this video. I already seen some crazy videos of rust, from that era, for example the 100+ rocket raids, etc. I played on main servers, moose and rustoria the most with my friends, but we never met a real horsegang, only small group of friends were doing this, 4-5 max, and with good positioning, we could take them out. It needed to be fixed, now I have enough evidence watching this video. For us, the biggest problem were these stupid new updates, all of them are boosting the clans, and large groups. Our Rust career ended, when the stupidest update of all AKA "The Combat Update" came out, it was the final nail in the coffin. I've been waiting for someone to make a cracked version of Rust ever since. Like Rusticaland, where you could play with legacy rust even, it was cracked of course, and there were quite a few players because of this, but it worked fine, as I know, it's still working, and it's a free version of rust, with less people. My biggest wish is to have Rust just before combat update happened, all the other updates can stay, the stupid op new heli and anything, but allow me a request, give me back my big old recoil. In my opinion Rust became overupdated sadly.

It would have been cooler if they didn't change things and people started having like medieval societies where everyone just focused on banding together, having a fortress that the horses couldn't get into, and having a meta based around raiding parties going inbetween or harassing fortresses like it's ghenghis khan days

If you think the golden era of rust was 2020 ur either having a laugh or you haven't played the game throughout the course of its development. It really is a shame so many people missed out on legacy and the early versions of what is now rust. I still absolutely adore the game but consider myself retired, the glory days are long gone my friend.

i was in horse gang when they disabled horses on rustoria main, it was me and a duo that cause the nerf to pot armor on horses. we rode to bandit camp after winning a big fight we werent even trying to take a fight, after the admins saw us dominate, they disabled horses. honest to god it was me and some random guy in horse gang at the time to cause the horse+potpan to be removed
the first thursday after, they changed horses to not be able to support full heavy armor

When there's such a glaring issue, you NEED as many people to abuse it as possible. Just imagine if it wasn't abused, it could still be in the game, you'd basically forget about it, then get horse gang'd out of nowhere, today in 2023.

as a former hg member that shit was busted until people starting running incen ammo which one tapped you. You would win most fights and if you ran smokes, nades and walls it was pure cancer for the enemies (leadership was terrible)

this reminds me there was a neighboring clan that we would beef with and right after coming on top in a 3v3 one of them decided to come back in heavy armor on a horse with a custom and a db and wiped my entire clan we eventually killed him but his team got pretty much all our shit

Is horse armor still viable? Or atleast help? I see a lot of people on horses, but never any with horse armor. I kinda hope they add a mechanic that allows you to have your horse, maybe ranch horses will only move and give inventory access to whoever bought them or something? That would make horses, horse armor, and even saddle bags pretty viable. I think it’s fair considering how cars work now and while horses are much cheaper, they have a much higher risk since your open to being shot
