It's been a while since I made a tutorial, and since there are so many different ways you can progress in Rust now, I thought it'd be a useful video for new and experienced players to get an insight on just how many different ways there are to move up in the rust world.

See what you did here bro. You made this video to give other content creators some love. Been subbed for about 5 years.
BCHILLZ IS THE GREATEST Deep-er. He invented the term going deep.
im playing hard pve servers but always a good beginners guide , love to see you doing some role play or finding and helping a new player in the game , to be fair i see to much pvp from a lot of creators but for me to watch are the great stories :) (its my opinion dont hate me )
@@GrandpaRust npc
video idea that i would love to see is for you to find a maybe 200h guy and play with them to see what they do wrong and how to improve
This is so great hJune, pretty much covers everything in the game. A must watch for all beginners. Now there is no excuse for dying in Rust guys.
Who dies in Rust? Easiest game ever... * *Cries internally* *
tru
But… but…
Facts
@@Rem694u2 yep
This is the definition of playing the Infinite Game really well. Shouting out all those creators is such a powerfully humble thing to do man.
I thought the same thing about the shoutouts, I love seeing creators help each other, even if they are already “big”
You see this as hJune being nice and helping out new players.
hJune see's more players with more loot to steal. :)
XD
Did you comment on the posty's base video?
please note walling in monuments is more pain then it's worth... do not attempt
Would you recommend Rust?
@@MABGaming01 no
@@MABGaming01 Never recommend rust to anyone unless they are more mentally insane than you after you playing for 1,000 hrs
The king of walling
Makes a great video though. Keep it up bro.
I love how you shouted out and uplifted a bunch of other youtubers
I must say... Huge cudos to you for shouting out the content creators. You could've just created a list, but opted to show more to us by sharing their content!
Thank you for your awesome videos, as always :)
What a great video @hJune. Not only have you given a greally good blueprint (no pun intended) for players to categorize the various methods/tasks of playing, but you have also managed to highlight and commend many of the other creators for the game you love. Thank you for making something not only education and inspiring, for also making something that has highlighted and praised your peers.
I love how Hjune actually references other rust creators and not just himself. Pretty cool man!
such a genuine dude, he definitely didn't have to shout all those channels out. Mad Respect for that one.
Bravo hJune. Excellent video & props for mentioning fellow streamers. You truly are a king among men.
6 k hours and this is by far the most helpful Rust video I have ever seen. Thnx hJune.
one of my favorite things to do at the beginning of the wipe is to run monuments to get all cards and gamble for a mini, about a 60% success rate so far over 10wipes. Can usually get to oil rig in about 20-40min as a solo. Highly recommend buying an m9 pistol as well if you dont find a gun in boxes. Def need to take the grenades for heavies into consideration tho, would save a ton of meds when doing it this way. As always thanks for the amazing content Hjune
Thanks for this guide. I've started playing Rust a lot more recently and have gone from farming mats for my partner's base to building and running tunnels and more accessible monuments by myself. I understand the basics, but just as I'm ready to start having some fun, it's time to wipe again. I'm using this to get me motivated, organised, and prepared for action!
awesome video with gr8 references. I didn't actually learn much new info personally, but this video really helped me contextualize my options and the state of rust
Got to love the rigs. Me and my duo always start the wipe with the first rigs. Usually have both done after one and a half hour.
Really needed something like this since I recently started playing again after a while, thanks man!
Hjune: Here's every possible way to how to progress in Rust
Building trap bases: *Am I a joke to you?*
Dude i dont play much these days but i cant imagine how much faster i wouldve gotten decent if i had this video when i started, lol
I love that you are taking good care of new player my guy 💜
Best wipe I've ever had in 8khours. That "way off to the side of the map not by any known monuments while farming motif" that's what I'm talking about. I literally had one of my most successful wipes EVER, by building on the far edge of a map on a little snow island, with the old school caves, where I built a base inside of the rocks. No 1 could see from the air, and I just had a clan running helicopters out to my base, trading everything I wanted. Scrap, guns, blueprints, everything. And all I had to do was go out farmin. Best wipe EVER.
@chalkhonk with as many hours as I play I play, each wipe, I play different. Don't hate cuz i was a farmer for a wipe.
That sound like a good wipe tho😂
@@DeltaCheatsOnRust best in loot and most chill ever.
@@GrandpaRust were you on a main server ? Cause sometimes i wanna be chill on a island but then there is no action and everything is so far away so i stop playing lol
@@marcoexe5726 I do not main any one any more. But When I did that it was actually Facepunch US (East 1?) or US Facepunch Staging. DONT LAUGH lol. Back in the day that place was as packed as all the officials now. but this was 3 or so years ago I think.
Oh my god this video is so complete ! Thank you very much for this hard work
Finally! I've been waiting for this video since the Rust Boom. Haven't seen one like it and boy do I need it. Thanks hJune
Thank you so much Hjune, I can always count on you for more tips to get better I’m any game you play!
As a new player, this has been very helpful. Thank you! 😊
This vid helped me out so much, i have 500hours in rust but I dont really have a sense of direction on what to do and nether do my friends but i definitely think this will help. Thank you
I love this!! But I love the shoutouts to other content creators ❤.. Getting game knowledge out there and other creators is a big step bro!! Keep up the good work my guy
Great video for new players, all new players should watch this. Great job man, keep it up.
I think this had to be one of the best Guide on youtube period, regardless of the game. As a farmer, I am kind of sad that you went over cloth farming a bit too fast :( Thank you so much for this awesome video!
With those 12k+ hours you’re doing the community a service by sharing information, currently here for a good beginners video for a friend
Thank you for sharing this awesome vid! I've been wanting to start PVP but kinda bummed because i might not do well lol. Been playing rust but only PVE, would be nice to have some people to play with but mostly my friends ain't playing anymore or don't have the game/playing diff. game. I'm probably gonna start as a Solo once i step on a PVP server. I'm ready to take it mentally lol! Keep up the good work man!
Time checking and "raiding" decayed bases for the Safefarming topic !
Great tutoriel :)
Now THIS is most of us want! Great video!
I love the love you give to other creators. You’re a gJune
Just got Rust for console, been watching videos like this to try to give myself ideas on what to do and how to start out!? I have feeling im guna need to watch videos like this multiple times to really get down the different things to do!? Glad ive got these videos to help me out tho!? Great video and i like that u recommended other youtubers to watch videos by too...that could be big help too!? I got interested in game by watching Camomo's video's and saw how much there is to the game...and camomo's videos r hilarious!? I love how he trolls cheaters!? Theres no place for cheaters in any game!?
thanks for doing this video the rust community needed one of these videos
This maybe the best video I’ve seen for us new to the game sharing to as many as I can
What I started doing recently is starting to speedrun large oil rig. The world record for that is ~35 minutes including all key cards and heave scientist kills. Is super fun to just sprint and get loaded with the creates but also frustrating if you die on one of the monuments and loose all your cards
Ty man. Got rust about 2 weeks ago or maybe a little less and i already love it. I play with my friend from school and some danish ppl and idk why but im already completely addicted with skins in rust lol. I just love them. I bought 19 skins already and im gonna try to get the twitch drops as well hehe. Ty for this tutorial man im gonna use this video while i play so i can learn more
The "low risk farming" became high risk farming on wipe day after this video 😂 thanks for the tips ,it really helped my trio ❤
Props man I love seeing you shout out all the other rust CZcamsrs I watch an seeing a couple new ones I haven't heard of I'm definitely going to check out I love seeing someone use there position to also lift up others your the shhh***ttttt HJUNE
Best rust start video, well done!
Great video and u shouting everyone out, I might rewatch this a couple times
been waiting for an updated version of progression guide. I'm currently 1.4k hours and yet I still feel the need for some guides to actually be effective
Where was this video when I started a couple years ago??? This is a must watch for any new player.
Thanks bro really helps as a new solo player !
This video was insanely well done.
Insane vid! Love the shoutouts
If you want to skip prim lock and get yourself a guns i recommend bulding beetwen ranch and any monument with recycler. You just farm the road recycle it, buy a horse make ferteliser and sell it at Bandit camp. I recommend making a shop to transfer your loot from your base to Bandit camp. With 3 hourses and one night of good sleep you wake up with 6 LR in your base. If get more hourses you get even more scrap
Quarries are also a good place to start out at. Hitting a monument that gets you diesel and then going to Stone Quarry is always very lucrative. Plop that diesel in, farm wood while it works, then you essentially have a free stone starter base, with some metal ores as well. The server I main has water treatment and the stone quarry right next to each other, so it's very easy to go water treatment > stone > base.
People sleep on those quarries on wipe day, man.
Great guide I genuinely recommend this to anyone starting rust
Amazing tutorial! Especially for all those new grubs that are getting Rust while its on steam sale right now!
Great video! One progression method I enjoy that wasn’t mentioned is trap base building. I know a lot of players find it rather scummy, but building is my favorite part of rust and trap bases are a fun, relaxing way to farm players especially when joining later into a wipe.
They want to raid you or try offlining you, then they deserve to get shit on by things like turrets. Don't want smoke, don't light fires.
Thanks You this was actually really helpful
The shoutouts 🙏 June supporting the whole community
Classic hJune, helping new players while also using his platform to bring other rust CC's up.
Amazing content creator and rust pro player
Very informative mate, and extremely welcoming for a new player like me. Subbed!
Amazing guide! Awesome of you to call out other content creators
Thanks for the shout out man.
You’re a king for this one
This Is professional 👏
very nice 😍
Thanks you helped me alot 😃
Well done video also like all the shout outs you did for the other CZcamsrs
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS HJUNE
even with 6k hours (for those goofies, I asked my self) these type of videos still help some times, nice vid hjune
thanks, hjune. now i can spend my life on something truly meaningful
Great video man
I saw the last one you made the other day and thought about if you would make a new one with all the new content. And here we are
wow this is an amazing video thank you so much for this
Thank you for this one.
I love your Tutorial Videos also Trap Bases are an nice way top get scrap and gear
Big love for oilrats. Man reads people on rig like a open book and his streams are usually actionpacked. From rig, to cargo to getting onlined by pissing off the biggest grp in his area
Everybody overlooks water treat plant, it has a free 2mil crates and 3 boxes, plus either a box and mil or 2 boxes. Then blue room to get red you can trade to players who frequently run rig. It has like 6 diesel spawns. I always get at least 2 diesel every time I go. It’s the monument I build next to every time. You can combine water treatment with trading red card and using the diesel with a friend or yourself on excavator and call in the drop for it right before you leave or when you get there so you either get it and are gone or are there to defend it and your resources
i only have about 36 hours on rust, thanks this tutorial really helps!
I'm a rookie, thank you for this video! (Subscribed)
simple and to the point now you just need the experience to put it all together
Spoonkids starts are pretty cool, he oils or cargos every time and now he doing labs
good video and nice of you to give all the props and shout outs to other content creators.
though I would work on your ending "and as always, see you on the next one" is pretty weak. you gotta get a tag line or something!
hJune single-handedly making the best video on rust ever
i love all your vids cant wait till the next
Love the Shoutout to Oilrats, he is really underrated.
thx bro your my hero
Love the video, it helps a lot of players, but I have run with new players with barely 1hr in the game and I have seen a lot, and It would be nice if an experienced player would do a how to play rust video, explaining , nodes, trees, hemp, basic base building, the placement of boxes, tc, safe zones, the real basics of the game. What you need to build, what to upgrade, the walls what is soft side and hard side, basically everything a player with over 200hrs in the game knows. Just an idea to think about. But otherwise great awesome video.
The crane at junk yard is also a very good way for scrap
Recently moved to pc, this was great help! Rust on console was very different...
thx hjune for this video super
I just got to T3 for the first time. Thank you
I bought rust in summer of 2019 and put 700 hours within like 3 months so far one of my favourite games ever but Haven't played since. I'm building a new pc soon and I can't wait to get back into the grind
I'm in the exact same spot, 700 hrs too waiting to upgrade because 30fps sucks dick.
Man as a new player I remember playing rust and kept dying of hunger not even by a player lmao, but at one point I did make a base from yt video for a solo and had decent loot
One thing that I tried to do solo was snowball all the time and my inner voice finally said “Your not that guy pal..” and decided to play more smarter and against smaller groups and other solo’s. I don’t have much time to play now but I hop on for a wipe when I have the chance and make bases you won’t see ofter or ever in rust.. lol
thanks for the help! Im a new player with 100 hours and this will help A LOT.
Thank you bro
Appreciate if you could also do a settings guide. :)
6k hour player here
Knew all these methods. Good to know 💪🏻
If you compare Rust to year for example 2017 (no heli, few monuments etc.) that game evolve so much ! there is ton of things what you can do and its amazing ! every playstyle there is possible ! I love this game so much and i never stop playing :)
I played in 2013 and it was awesome back then. I don't know how it is now, but it's probably complex as hell
A+ guide thank u
Dome is my personal favourite to run, if your lucky and find soem rope you cna hhave the gear to do soem runs and get there early, and if its near a recycler you can easily get 500 scrap every run.
A bonus is the diesel fuel
i wish there was video like this when i started playing this game
Could you make a video of how to progress? Everyone always has the videos labeled that but they don’t go through their thought process and why as a solo I find it hard just watching them play and trying to learn. I usually run into a wall of what do I do after I get a base haha
