I agree, but did to notice the pegulas body language when the call came back, Adams excited, pegulas basically not interested and in repression. I would be happy the players are still saying thank you to Buffalo when they leave this dumpster fire of an organization

Man adams makes me want to actually believe in this team even after they were so brutal last season. I’ve really loved his philosophy on wanting to be a Sabre

Not just from one team specifically, but in general, I'd love to see all teams showing these types of behind the scenes for scout/combine meetings, trade deadlines and drafts. See inside the minds of those involved and see more of the teamwork that goes on in the midst of quick moving chaos.
This production has stepped up and is appreciated

Risto trade was an A+++ Reinhart trade coulda been alot better tho
He was leaving next year and other teams knew that. That hurt our leverage.
@@johncohle8331 Risto was leaving next year too and we still managed to get an insane return. Also Reinhart was an RFA so teams would have restrictions on him

Im always hard on these young guys but realized i would have maybe been out of the league or to have never made it with how my mindset was at 18. It didn't click for me until i was 27-28. Happened all so suddenly. Was as if i could feel the shift itself. Woke up one day with the hey let's be an adult or at least go out swinging. These are kids. For me power or beniers were the righr choices in selecting a mature kid who has the ability to be a cornerstone player.
I love the weird look that Adams has on his face at 21:27 when he sees that the recently traded Sam Reinhart is calling him.

@@logan.brooks6837 Give me a valid point on why adding a guy with his frame and potential to play with Dahlin is not the best possible option? Who did you want them to take with the first overall? Who should I “Watch” for to be significantly more valuable to their respective team than Power? Do you watch NCAA games? OHL, WHL, QMJHL? I do and this guy is too good to pass on based on some hunch
@@Buffalosabskis first off Power and Dahlin wont play together they are both left d. And literally the only reason power got drafted 1 is because his size. And he doesnt even use his size well at all. Players like Beniers, Eklund, Hughes, Lysell have much more potential

Probably a cap thing, maybe wanted to do good by him by trading him to a team that wasn’t going to be going the younger route and make him waste more of his career here waiting for the talent to develop.

We sent Reinhardt to Florida at 25yr..... He FINALLY got to the point of being in that 1st line role and we gave him away from nothing close to equal... Typical Buffalo move

I feel bad for all the young talent that comes through to Buffalo via the amateur draft... Knowing you're going to be dropped into the soup immediately upon arrival because ownership and management don't seem to be on the same page when it comes to building a long term team and developing their young talent.. Imagine being in a draft knowing that the better you are ranked in the draft the more likely you have a chance of going to Buffalo.... I don't blame these young players for voicing there dismay and wanting out, as well as there potential picks rumbling about going to Buffalo... So come on Buffalo you got a great city with knowledgeable fans That know how to make some noise especially in the days of the Aud...... The NHL is a better place with a Buffalo sabres franchise... So stop thinking like my Boston Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs "Where a beer and a hot dog promo is worth more than a good number #2 center or a #4 defenseman." Most non bruins fans don't realize how much we lost out in the eighties and nineties due to the owners.. They made a stand that we weren't paying players these crazy salaries..So all the team owners praised us for our firm stance.. While the spending spree went on with every team grabbing free agents but us... We went to so many conference finals and Stanley cups but we were always 1 or 2 players away from what we needed to make a Dynasty thank you for the hard break Jeremy Jacobs....

@@nickrosati3167 ? not sure i understand but Owen is a different cat, who was the last overage 1st over all pick (he is a late-2002 birth year so already 1 year older than the 2003s he's drafted with) to intentionally forgo maybe $1.2-2.0 M in salary to go play 40 games of college hockey? He's gonna be a problem
Worst thing about Sam Reinhart with the Sabres was the Sabres picked him in the draft instead of Leon Draisaitl. But at least the famous hockey guru Kim Pegula is at the table...doing what I have no idea...

Drai was seen as a surprise pick by Edmonton a lot of people wanted Bennett funnily enough it was Sam vs Sam drai was a big surprise who worked out, Edmonton was the only team who had him above Matthew’s of Edmonton had have one the lottery then we would’ve likely had Matthew’s
