When Caesar said no was probably the most dramatic, shocking and amazing scene in any movie
+Ineedu2hateme NOOOO
Sad I already knew he was going to speak.
Yeah it is one of them.
gives me chills
I rewatched the movie today after many years and my dumb self forgot that Caesar can talk, I certainly forgot he started talking in the first love cuz when he yell NO I gasped so hard and then like 3 secs later I was like ‘oh yeah’
When Ceasar tells the guy NO!!! is the moment Jeremy was talking about
When i first seen the trailer i was in love
I loved this movie, it was so damn amazing!
luciano minchella
you're not the only one my friend
when that moment happened in the cinema, no one made the slightest whisper for like twenty seconds.
Randygandalf95 I saw it twice in theater, and both times everyone gasped in surprise, it was awesome!
Malfoy: Get your stinking paw off me, you damn dirty ape!
Caesar: NO!
(chill runs down my spin)
"I would so not feel in charge right now." -Jeremy, describing Daggett with Bane's hand on his shoulder. Also works for Caesar and Malfoy.
“At first, they began assembling in small groups. They learned the art of corporate and militant action. They learned to refuse. At first, they just grunted their refusal. But then, on an historic day, which is commemorated by my species and fully documented in the sacred scrolls… He did not grunt. He articulated. He spoke a word which had been spoken to him time without number by humans. He said 'No.' “
- Cornelius, Escape from the planet of the apes (1971)
The point where Ceasar shouts NO is when shit got real for me.
Oh yea everyone was stunned silent, most epic did not see that coming scene I've ever seen in a theater
Fax tho
Man, when Caesar yelled no you could hear a fucking pin drop in that theatre. Never before and never since have I seen an audience completely stunned into silence by a movie, it was awesome.
My favorite part of this movie was the news on the tv when it said first men on the way to Mars and then later you see a news paper that says. "Lost in space?" Pointing towards the original planet of the apes when the astronauts came back to earth after the apes take over
ChaosBlade yea those are all really awesome.
James Franco's acting was surprisingly good for a guy who's been in mostly comedies
He's wooden as fuck, what are you smoking, buddy?
@@futurafrlx8874 he's like one of the finest actor working today?the fuck are you talking about, go and watch The Disaster Artist, 127 hours...
@@meapppxd2304 facts.
What about Spider-Man?
@@fauwowsart_9186yeah James Franco hasn't been in THAT much comedies, a couple here and there maybe.
But he is more of an dramatic actor
Is the moment where he said that "things just got real" (but it was spoilers so he didn't want to talk about it) when Caesar speaks for the first time?
NOOOOOOOO!
(Yes).
Gotta be. Even the second time, it STILL gives me chills. Incredible scene in an incredible movie.
Most likely. When that scene happened my jaw literally dropped and I had to watch it over and over.
Tatsumi Akame not no, it’s NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Write spoiler alert before this
I love this movie. It was a movie I thought I would hate but it has become one of my favorite movies of all time.
Me to
samw
i always watch this movie several times on a channel called hbo
I love it too!
Best trilogy ever
I love the way Ceasar's voice was done. His dialog was choppy, hoarse, and limited to points where he actually needed to say something.
I "NO" what part you are talking about. *wink*
This movie was a solid 10/10. Way better than the 2001 remake. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" That line by Caesar was the best line in the movie. Hey, what's better than APES ON HORSES???
wait what 2001 rema- oh wait
It's boring as shit
Every part of this movie was amazing for me. Just. Every part of it.
LOL your pic just give more power to your comment.
lmfao. I love the internet.
A common complaint about this movie is the lack of character developement from the characters, but I'm glad they didn't focus on the humans because this is Planet of the Apes...to be honest I really only cared about the apes, , Caeser obviously, but that's not to say the humans weren't likeable, they were, but not as likable as Caeser.
NOOOOO. I wont talk about it in the comments.
I just saw the movie like a minute ago, it blew my bloody mind apart!!
On FX?
Same. I just saw it and I felt forced to watch it and I ended up having it as one of my favorite movies. Great script, action, and premise. The only downside in this movie is James Franco's acting. Seriously, this guy has little to no emotion the entire movie.
The first Jeremy Jahns vid I've ever seen... Didn't stopped watching his vids ever since.
The humans were doomed the moment Caesar realized they were waiting for him. The humans planned to gun them down as they ran, which is why their close-minded plan stood no chance whatsoever against the surprise ape attack from above. I mean superior weaponry and numbers doesn't mean shit if your enemy can outmaneuver you and is one of the greatest strategists of all time, and/or is smarter than any human being.
Anyone notice its the story of spartacus?
holy shit.....it kinda is
They even did the Spartacus Hand (Arm?) shake in Dawn
as a huge Spartacus tv fan show , yes
Rewatched this last night. Watching the trilogy in prep for the new one coming out. I was blown away by how well the CGI held up. Still looks incredible.
Andy Serkis is AMAZING.
I just watched it again for the first time since it came out to prepare for Kingdom and it still holds up. Caesar is a fucking badass.
The holy shit moment was when Cesar screams NO! I shit myself.
"ceaser is home" I don't know why but that gave me chills
I'm pretty sure it's a prequel, like this explains what happened for the every first movie in the 60's came to be
it is a Prequel. But at the same time it feels like kind of a Remake from Conquest of the planet of the apes from 1972
I almost had a heart attack when Ceaser yelled 'NOOOOOOOO!'
I wasn't really surprised Caesar turned out to be an awesome character. I mean c'mon...he IS played by Andy Serkis.
''ceasar is home'' :'(
I'd give this movie a 10/10, all tops. Favorite Awesome Bad ass movie ever! No movie have yet to make me truly cry, but I got really close to in this one, lots of parts that really made me tear up.
NOOOOOOOOO
12 years later. And this movie was better than 80 percent of the movies this summer. Short but powerful
Its hard 2 belive that just 1 word is the best line in a movie but hey, it worked
Anyone here after watching war?
Oscar Cornejo all 3 are brilliant
Yup, blew me away had to see the reviews
2:09 If you saw the movie, you know exactly what he is talking about.
***** He's talking about when Ceasar first speaks and yells NO!!! when he's holding that dudes arm. By far and away the best moment of the movie.
NOO!!
Jack 44 *movie theater goes quiet*
It's funny how everybody thinks the same thing xD
Thank you. I loved The Hobbit and I can't wait for Parts 2 and 3. Riddles in the Dark is one of my favorite moments from the book, and the way it was translated to the screen made me want to give a standing ovation - perfectly directed, perfectly acted, just perfect all around. The rest of the film could have been crap, and that scene alone would have been worth the price of admission. Once again, Mr. artispino, thank you and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Give that man Serkis an oscar!
Best trilogy IMO
"NO!!!" best part of that movie
Both Jeremy and Chris got better looking in 6 years
Jeremy looks more younger and has more meat on the face
Now he weighs like 100 pounds lol
Andy Serkis is phenomenal in this and I can't wait to see Dawn because I hear it's on par with T2, Dark Knight and Empire Strikes Back as one of the best sequels ever. We don't have it here where I live yet but hopefully in a couple of weeks it'll be here and I'll finally get to see it because I've been wanting to see it.
Dude, as far as I'm concerned, it's the best movie of the year.
Going to see Dawn in a couple of hours! :D can't wait! I re-watched Rise last nighr ready for it!
Definitely go watch "Dawn of". For me it was tied with X-Men for best movie of 2014. Definitely better than T2 which I love so don't think I being biased.
"NO"
that one scene were there charging on the bridge was like the D-Day from Saving Private Ryan
This series is a masterpiece of the ages, and rewatching it really hits different now we have Kingdom
02:09 NOOOOOO
Loved this movie from beginning to end! I thought I was just going to just like it and call it an okay movie at first but when I saw it in theaters I can out saying "That was awesome!" I especially loved the scene when Caesar yells "No!!" That was the most badass and "holy sh^*" moment that made everything worth it. It is on my top five favorite movies of 2011.
That part was breath taking. That was like "Luke Im your father!" level. I was in the cinema watching it and everyone had fun and then he goes "NO!" and the whole room suddenly went silent, it was the best reaction I ever saw in a theater.
I can always count on Jeremy for a great review
when u realise jeremy gave the awesometacular rating to the whole trilogy
jeez i came back to see this after war and i forgot how pale and beardless he used to look
Ceasar - " This is home"
I just saw this today in my school cinema. It's going straight on the Christmas list.
Noooooo!!!!!!
NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
No kidding that Caesar looks so real with great details.
I love how he Caesar is always evil scheming while on the ape compound.
of course ceasar was awesome, he was motion captured by freaking andy serkins. GOLLEM FFS!
Rewatching the New Trilogy before Kingdom comes out. Had to go back and see what a couple of my favorite CZcamsrs thought about it. Thanks : )
So happy that a sequel is in the works for this
I've watched Rise, Dawn and War. All the three movies are... FANTASTIC. A solid trilogy. I'm a big fan of this trilogy.
Rise is a cool one. It's enjoyable and worth watching again. However there's something I miss in it. Fun thing, I don't know what. If I were Jeremy I would give Rise a Buy It On Blueray. My rating: an 8!
Dawn is awesome. The apes are really a community now and watching that is so cool. There are no negative points on this movie. I'll give Dawn a 9!
And than, War. I saw War recently and it was so, so good. In my opinion Dawn was a little, little, little bit better than War. That because of the action. But War is so good. Even though there's more action in Dawn than in War, it' still so good. Like Jeremy said, there's more drama in War. And the drama in War is good. Very good! My rating: 8.7!
What are your thoughts on the Planet of the Apes Reboot/Prequel trilogy?? In my opinion, it's the best trilogy ever!!!
props to Andy Serakis (i completely forgot how to spell his name....the guy who played gollum) he did all the mo cap for Ceaser and even voiced him in the movie.
this movie was probably one of the best movies of the year for me. when i walked out of it, it was like the dark knight rises trailer. it was on my mind, and i was like, ".... OH! oh that is clever. that is cleverrrr."
When the guy who kept the apes in check had that tazer and zapped the apes, I was like "What an asshole." but then when they lashed out at him and took the hose, I was shocked (no pun intended). I was kind of happy that it happened too.
There was also the other part where Caesar bit off that neighbor characters finger and everyone was scared and like "Oh crap, that just happened!"
Overall the movie was amazing. I own it on DVD and it is one of my favorite movies of all time.
Oh I almost forgot, when Caesar screams "NO!" and he actually talks for the first time ever, I felt like I was in the position of the guy he said it too
I agree with you Jeremy, Rise of the Planet of the Apes is most definitely AWESOMETACULAR!
The only thing crazier than Caesar yelling NOO is the other chimps face after he said it ...priceless.
hahaha when caeser said nooooo this dude in the audience was shouting nooooooo as well! epicccc
OMG when Caesar said NO! I was like HOLY SHIT
Also the final over the end credits depiction if the 'Captain Trips' virus spreading over the globe was a genius chilling twist!
@hosway1992 which part was that? I watched it but I can't remember a specific moment when it gets even better.
Loved this movie! The moment that shocked Jeremy I think was when Ceaser yells the word NO!
Everyone's jaw dropped in the theater and it was complete silence.
13 years has passed...how can it be?!
I agree! Review the MGS series, Jeremy Boy Jahns!
That moment he is talking about gave me goosebumps.
You could tell everyone who was drinking, or eating popcorn just stopped. Even though it was a movie, it was one of those moments where you were like: Whole Lee SHIT.
In my opinion, this was the best movie of 2011, even better than things like Harry Potter and it really deserves to be called Awesometacular. Andy Serkis is a magnificent motion capture actor and a brilliant actor in general, he made Caesar his own character, just like he did Kong and Gollum, even though all three of those characters were already established characters from previous works. John Lithgow was also amazing in this film and I really felt for him throughout the whole film.
@JeremyJahns This is a little unrelated to the video, but I was curious as to why you've never reviewed an anime film or series (you may have reviewed Ponyo, but I don't remember). I mean, you're a fan of comics and video games, I figure it kind of comes with the territory; not to mention you've reviewed kid's cartoons.
I'd like to see some anime movie/series reviews, Summer Wars being the newest. Just my thoughts.
Keep up the good work! Love your videos.
I haven't seen the movie since I saw it in theaters, and the parts of the movie I remember most clearly were the scenes with Freida Pinto, but I did enjoy the movie overall
@Scottacus912 i think is was the part when Caesar talks "Nooooo!"
Andy Serkis did a really great job as Caesar, he has a crazy talent for playing cgi characters.
@Gthang213 so Escape is the third and Conquest is a sequel to the first Planet of the Apes? im confused now -_-
Good point
It's worth mentioning that Caesar is played by Andy Serkis, who also played Gollum in The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit!
I just watched that today, the movie was great! Wasn't expecting it to be, but now i'm hyped as hell for the sequel!
Don't forget that behind that CG ape there is, not just an army of CG animators, but one helluvan actor in Andy Serkis.
Best line:
"No!" -Caesar
--> When I saw the film the whole crowd laughed on that part because it was so unexpected!
oh yea when he yells NO! forgot bout that... so dope
"Take your hand off me you damned dirty ape!" - guy
"NO!" - Caesar
Yea, I remember watching that and then Ceasar was like "NOOOO!" I was like..."Oh shit..." lol.
That part of the film was brilliant. Sent a shiver down my spine when he shouted that.
i totally agree
I only saw this because the trailer for the knew one looked epic. I thought it was going tosuck too. But wow was I wrong. This was so fucking epic and I can't wait to see the sequel. Everything about it was great, well except for maybe the delivery of "damned dirt ape" part but even that was okay because of how badass Caesar is.
when the ape said "NOO" the whole crowd just kinda laughed in amazement and like holyshit.. I LOVED the reactions of the crowd. its awesome
I remember watching this review and got more excited to see this. The trailer looks epic too.
At the point when Ceaser was roaring I was thinking-you know what it is.
When he shouted No, that was like the HOOOO SHIT, SHIT GOT REAL moment.
Little Goblin played a nice role in this XD..and so was Malfoy. (i forget celeb names really good~)
Yaa
Lucas was so impressed with Frank Oz's Yoda in the film 'The Empire Strikes Back' that he campaigned for him to be nominated for an oscar for his role. However the academy decided against it stating that voice and puppet actors are ineligible for academy award nominations...I suppose the same logic held for Andy Serkis...but seriously Caesar outclassed all the human nominees this year. Hopefully one day this art-from too will be recognized.
I think the part that made you go that just got real was when Cesar went "NOO!"
Aw man during that NO! part everyone in the theature literally went quite then a unison "What?" the face everyone made was priceless! Man this movie is word UP AWESOMETACULAR!!!!!!
its soooo cool at the end were they explain how everybody died with the deseas
was that moment when he yells "no" at draco malfoy? coz that made me shiver...
Jahns looked the same but Chris Stuckmann looked totally different back when Rise came out
