- This is like a cool down shooting practice for ray allen. Ray Allen made all his shots until the last one. People said he intentionally missed it and that might be true. Please help me break 1 million views by sharing this video!!!

Plenty of differences with Curry:
1) Curry is a tilt shooter, Allen is more squared to the rim;
2) Curry is a one-motion shooter, Allen is a two-motion shooter;
3) Curry shoots when rising from the ground, with a lot of transfer of vertical force, whence his high-arcing shot; Allen shoots at the peak of his jump, with no vertical force on the ball, whence his low arc.
4) Curry fully extends his shooting arm, in order to keep alignment with eye and hip; Allen keeps his shooting arm a little flexed, because he's not aiming at the rim with the side of his body, maybe with his right leg.
Although I have to say Curry's technique is more efficient (he's not as athletic as Allen, and yet he has a longer range), I aestethically prefer Allen's one.
Theres no beating Allen's form. He is so consistent on his form making his shots more consistent. Ray is and will for ever be the greatest 3 point shooter ever. Curry isnt even done with his career and hes akl ready number 2 in the history books. Klay has been trailing him though and I like to think klay can make more 3 balls.
Steph curry is the most dangerous shooter ever in the history of the NBA. Ray definitely has the better form no question, but Steph can hit from anywhere on the court and can create his own shot, Ray Allen can not. Curry also is more selfless, people want to play for step Curry, he could easily average 50+ points a game if he wanted. They are about the same in free throws. Curry really has surpassed Ray already because all of the early success with titles and MVPs.

I think Curry can make his shot because now the defense need to give everybody more space. If not will, be easier to block than Allen's shoot.
One of my favorite players of all time. He wasn't a "superstar" but he could shoot your eyes out on any given night from anywhere on the floor!
Darrell James He had the game to be a superstar in his prime, it's more about marketability. Shaq had the personality, Jordan was doing unseen things, Curry is relatable to the average young kid who aspires to play in a league full of freak athletes.
He was "superstar" status when he was with the Bucks; further solidified when he led the Sonics to the playoffs and mercilessly destroyed the Kings.

Why are people in the comment section saying how he should shoot? Its Ray Allen not some AAU player. I'm pretty sure he knows how to shoot a basketball. Its like telling a singer how to sing or a dancer how to dance.

they're incomparable in a way. Stephen shoots such a high volume of 3s, ray only averaged 6 per game in his career. if you like the pull ups and deep threes stephs your man, if you like silky smooth form and the clutch 3s in crunch time ray is the guy.

If you actually watch closely on his other videos, his elbow is literally like a trigger. When he shoots, it snaps into full extension for a split second before it bends again.

Anyone else notice he doesn't fully extend his shooting arm to shoot? He still has it bent at the end. And he doesn't shoot an incredibly high arc like some people do. This just goes to prove it really doesn't matter how you shoot as long as it goes in.

It's more about follow through with your hand rather than your whole arm in my opinion. That's how I train my consistency.

Yes... haha. He doesn't square his feet to the basket either because it aligns the shooting arm to the basketball. He also dips the ball down to create rhythm. He changed his shot because it works..

i have noticed that pretty much all ray allen practice/shoot around/warm up videos on youtube are in very poor quality, even the HD videos feel like enhanced 480P, I can't believe the number of people going into NBA games all the years and not one person bothered to bring a proper camera or phone and shoot a proper video of ray allens shooting and share it on youtube. i can't believe

as long as he's not shooting 100% from the floor, theres always room for improvement - even for ray allen.
well his shot mechanics are exceptionally good though, things like his arm and trajectory aren't important but he gets lots of elevation has a clean fluid stroke and good shoulder position and he works hard at it someone with say lebrons form or dwayne wades form can be good shooters but never great because their shots are in two stages and dont flow very well
