Two of the best shooters in the NBA talk about what it takes to be one of the best snipers in the world. RayRay back when he was in Seattle and Agent Zero.
At 1:20 Seeing him alone on the court with that music playing almost brought tears to my eyes. It's just beautiful the dedication and work these guys put in day in and day out to be great.
When you shoot a lot, sometimes you get that feeling when you shoot that you just know it's going in, you can tell by how it looks on its way to the net.
Ray Allen's shot is quite strange, which makes it so good. He pulls away his left hand, instead of just leaving in there, to make sure it doesn't affect the spin.
+solidsnack1146 Gilbert and one of his teammates were arguing on a plane ride home from a Suns game. They were playing cards and money was involved. Gilbert brought 4-5 guns to the lockeroom and told the dude to "Pick one." Lmao
Gilbert Arenas is BACK! hes going to dominate just like he did in 05-06 and 04-05. The wizards might even be a very dangerous playoff team because everyones healthy and they got a really good coach in Flip Saunders.
Hey, don't worry about your height, it's all about creating space. You could jab step forcing the defender back but remember, never hesitate. You could fake, wait for the defender to bite on it, then dribble once to the side that the defender isn't on, and shoot from there. At that point, take your time, just don't take that long, the D can come back on you. Always remember, its about space.
Yo those shorts are humongous even at that time. But I have to tell you it made you dribble alot lower and tighter. Loved Agent 0. Hibachi. No Chill Gil.
@tecvawn good man, as you get better so will other kids just keep at it, with basketball you need talent and you need to work hard so if you have the talent you know what you need to do next. don't let anything stop you
Can anyone answer this for me, are you supposed to hold the ball with the seams? And grip it that way almost every time you shoot? It seems like it takes too much time to change the grip in your hand. I see a lot of guys not holding it that way, is it something like you just prefer to shoot it that way but will hold it any other way?
i have 2 ways of shooting. 1 way i release the ball from a low distance the other i release from above my head. the 1 when i release lower i score more but im to afraid i might get my shot blocked. the other one when i shoot above my head will go in anywere inside the 3 pt line but when i go to the 3pt line they dont go in as much. which way should i shoot
Maaaan, gils offense was so minute and minor compared to players like spreewell and crittenton. Whats bad is that he ends up being forgotten by later generations.
If you shoot enough, that happens. When I used to go to the gym everyday back in middle school I knew if it was going in or not. You can feel it, the way it rolls of the fingers. I wish I still had a gym to shoot at...
agent zero is so underrated. i think he should be put in the hall of fame when he is done. i jus dont like him when he plays my team :).. ray allen has the quickest shot in the nba, when he makes one, dont let him get the ball again kus he is gonna make it for the rest of the night!
Yeah @andray bair i have been working my shoot for a long time (got mad alot cuase i would try to perfect.it so much) and o realized that i just kept trying eventually now i shot amazinly..i shot like steph curry mixed with lebron james shot
I've watched this video for years now and it seems like it keeps decreasing in quality every time. I used to be able to see Gilberts finger placement when he was practicing his shot in the gym, now its more pixelated than ever.
@kluwkidd almost every player has a different release, it's about finding what you're comfortable with, and just work on it. you need to shoot alot. i could every shot before i became lazy
I used to watch this clip so many times during junior high. Dang so many years passes
Gilbert in them big ass shorts
Zero was so smooth. No energy wasted. Bring back the sonics btw.
At 1:20 Seeing him alone on the court with that music playing almost brought tears to my eyes. It's just beautiful the dedication and work these guys put in day in and day out to be great.
you dont need fancy handles if you can shoot from anywhere
EXACTLY
Curry said otherwise
Unless youre Kyrie and Iverson but I get your point.
@jackjax7921 they can't shoot from everywhere..
@@NSmith-hh1ysfact!!!
Ray Ray will chase everybody out of the building with his jump shots... Probably the purest jump shooter in the NBA
Dude needs to come back. That shit is ridiculous. The purest shot I've ever seen. Gilbert don't do that to yourself man. Come back to the NBA..
When you shoot a lot, sometimes you get that feeling when you shoot that you just know it's going in, you can tell by how it looks on its way to the net.
2:39 Arenas put his hands up before the shot even went in. RNS!
Watched this back in 2007, time flies
Peter Lee Yeah i remember watching this whole thing everyday i came home from basketball practice
i miss AGENT ZERO already . comback bro.
Ray Allen's shot is quite strange, which makes it so good. He pulls away his left hand, instead of just leaving in there, to make sure it doesn't affect the spin.
I miss this time.
I'm a streaky shooter so if I make my first shot I make the a lot more but if I miss it takes, along time to get hot
You see Ahmad Rashad...shits bout to get real
KING JAY 😂😂 very true
My favorite vid on Gilbert
Ray allen is so humble..
Gilbert Arenas made a mistake, it's time to forgive and forget.
what happend?
what happend?

@@DeathrowDC Fake news. Go watch his podcast lol that never happened
@@DeathrowDC lmao what did he mean by that? 😂😂 Was he selling of was he telling him which one he wanted to get blasted by 😂😂
Gilbert Arenas is BACK! hes going to dominate just like he did in 05-06 and 04-05. The wizards might even be a very dangerous playoff team because everyones healthy and they got a really good coach in Flip Saunders.
The long shorts so classic
his form is so perfect at 2:33
Gil’s Area gang!!! 💰🔥🔥
Ray Allen...
The Best 3 pointer PERIOD

Thx Man
Gil said that's Tim Connelly he asks.
thanks mate
I've seen this before, what's the name of the DVD?
Yea. The indoor gym vibe is just more satisfying then outdoor courts
lets go seattle sonics
if you live in Seattle go and vote for the team
How cool would it be to have an NBA star randomly invite you into the practice facility and ask you to rebound for him for free. AWESOME
@tecvawn good man, as you get better so will other kids just keep at it, with basketball you need talent and you need to work hard so if you have the talent you know what you need to do next. don't let anything stop you
Arenas was the Steph curry of the NBA
Real talk on that man!!
way more clutch than steph
lol no
Deadass
high horse didnt have the ability to shoot off the dribble?
I stay like an hour after games and practice to shoot around and my jumpshots have been amazing.
ray fuckin allen best shooter ever damn i wish i had that stroke
they probably r the two best three point shooters in the nba
Long ahh shorts boyyy time has change😂😂😂
Ray Allen flips his left thumb. It's rare that a person can shoot so well with such a flaw.
Agent zero, the sickest nickname ever
Can anyone answer this for me, are you supposed to hold the ball with the seams? And grip it that way almost every time you shoot? I miss when both of them were undisputed stars of their team. Ecspecially Gilbert Arenas he could've been the best point guard in the league or world.
@einbischen yep it was in seattle, but they moved it into the oklahoma city thunder franchise.
anybody notice that the game winning shot he took around the 2:07 mark, he took the shot off balanced, pretty good
2:37 thats some Larry Bird stuff cant say no more thats just SWAGGGGG
i have 2 ways of shooting.
Gilbert has THE best shooting form ever.
only if ray allen stayed until the oklahoma city switch, think abou ray allen with kevin durant, man o man
anybody know where you can find all these nba videos in one place? the inspirational ones...
Good words by the g.o.a.t shooter
Maaaan, gils offense was so minute and minor compared to players like spreewell and crittenton. Whats bad is that he ends up being forgotten by later generations.
2:36 was crazy, he lifted his hands before the shot even went down
damn never laughed so hard. thanks iggy. :p
If you shoot enough, that happens. When I used to go to the gym everyday back in middle school I knew if it was going in or not. You can feel it, the way it rolls of the fingers. I wish I still had a gym to shoot at...
Damn! Another reason to love you, Andre. lol
Gilbert with the genie pants on
at 5:24 Ray Allen uses the Michael Jordan to Bryon Russel left arm shove on Steve Nash
@mike813tampa i'm with u if i had a gym 2 go 2 at anytime when i was growin up i could have been one of the best......
there's this park i go to and go shoot nearly everyday.
Work hard play harder!
2:40 he knew it was going in, he celebrated before making the shot.
These youngsters don’t know before Steph, Dame, and Trey. Agent 0 was pulling from DEEP. He started this, Steph just took off with it.
miss the old agent 0
Man he used to be the man down here for the Wizards... Gave Kobe 60 smh. Good times good times...
Used to be such a great vid, now just a great pun
No mentions in the comments about Tim Connelly (current Nuggets Pres of Bball Ops) rebounding for Gil…smh lol
ray allen and rasard lewis look like brothers
agent zero is so underrated. i think he should be put in the hall of fame when he is done. i jus dont like him when he plays my team :).. ray allen has the quickest shot in the nba, when he makes one, dont let him get the ball again kus he is gonna make it for the rest of the night!
This dude had a clean stroke
Hey way to go, and as for your height, you'll grow into it don't worry about it.
Yeah @andray bair i have been working my shoot for a long time (got mad alot cuase i would try to perfect.it so much) and o realized that i just kept trying eventually now i shot amazinly..i shot like steph curry mixed with lebron james shot
what does Ray say at 3:35? "if you could only see the amount of people ... every year" ?
All shooting jokes aside
Gilbert arena was a GOD before injuries, bad decisions, etc.
gilbert has taste- ferrari 612 scaglitti- beuatiful and refined.
ik right, if i had one i might even play college ball
For all you guys who are struggling with your shooting, the number one thing to do is keep shooting the ball and don't get frustrated.
it really does look like ray is shooting the ball with his left thumb too if you look closely
some rumors says Gilbert will play overseas because no nba team want him right now
He went to Orlando :)
the first jimmer range
longest shorts of all time.
haha the shot at 2:36 he knows is goin in, he turns his back after he shoots too lol
The original splash brother Agent 0
If you're passionate about art it's not work. It's pleasure.
Akaash Money watching this is art alone
Before Steph Curry, there was Agent Zero. And was greater.
Greater?
He didn't shove Nash. His left arm is never extended out!
yee totally agree w/ u bro, allen even says that lol. but im jus wonderin y hes strugging in the playoffs, his form looks the same
2:13...thats some onions
Gilbert loves to shoot
Man i miss that wizards team
3:20 I thought it stands for 'No Bigs Allowed'
Growing up they nicknamed me Gilly because of Gilbert Arenas
"I'M A SNIPER."
Guess Gilbert... really is a shooter.. huh? Couldn't help myself lol
U serious? Was he a shooter? U gotta be joking. Coming from your mouth.
he's referring to the gun incident lol +Joey Long
golds gym or something like that but you have to go at night or early in the morning.
I've watched this video for years now and it seems like it keeps decreasing in quality every time. I used to be able to see Gilberts finger placement when he was practicing his shot in the gym, now its more pixelated than ever.
Probably to avoid being taken down
@kluwkidd almost every player has a different release, it's about finding what you're comfortable with, and just work on it. you need to shoot alot. i could every shot before i became lazy
i wish i had a gym to go to at any time and shoot lol
I'm here for Gilbert Arenas.
