  • In this video we’re making fabric printed bag tags at home using typical household equipment and supplies - with one main exception. The “magic sauce” for this “recipe” is Bubble Jet Set 2000. It’s AMAZING!
    You’ll need to create or purchase a file with your desired labels. I’m {briefly} demonstrating using Publisher, but you can use any program you’d like to create your sheet. DesignBundle.Net is a great resource if you’re looking for graphic labels (not custom). {Alternatively, I would be happy to create your custom label for you for a small fee.}

    Such a fun tutorial. I have used ink jet set & rinse for over 20 years to print on fabric. It works great. I appreciate your tip of using fabric softener instead of ink jet rinse to set the ink, it sure saves on cost! To save a step, you can use freezer paper as a carrier sheet for printing (instead of copy paper and temporary adhesive spray!). Enjoying your channel!

      Thank you! I’m so glad you are enjoying it.
      Yes, the freezer paper works great, too! I also like it to use as a stencil for printing on burlap - but that’s another tutorial for another day.
      Are you a quilter? I’m always astounded by the self-printed fabric quilts I see. Glorious art!

    Love all the label ideas. Keep 'em coming. BTW, have you tried Freezer Paper as a carrier sheet? Works great. I send fabric thru printer very successfully. Very economical as each sheet can be used many times. Buy on the roll at grocery store or pre-cut sheets on Amazon. Thanks for this cool vid!

      Hi! I have used it before and it does work well! I made the cutest little Thanksgiving burlap garland a few years ago when burlap was all the rage. Super fun!

    just found this video and love it! question... you peeled the fabric after printing and went right into heat and bond. why is there no need to go through the fabric softener step? If it's ironing that sets the print, is the softener step not needed if you just iron the folded type?

    • @CharmingCheek
      @CharmingCheek  Před rokem

      Great question! I skipped that step here but should have explained the fabric softener step should be followed to be safe.

  • @mariadominguez-scarr9385

    Great video, very informative. Did you mix the solution with water or use it as is?

    could you use freezer paper to put fabric thru printer?

    • @CharmingCheek
      @CharmingCheek  Před 2 lety

      I think you can. I’ve done it before with fabric but I was concerned that the fabric treatment may interfere with the bonding.
      Give it a try and let us know how it went!

    For iron on the fabric softner step is skipped?

    • @CharmingCheek
      @CharmingCheek  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Deb! Do you mean for iron on printed transfers? In that case you wouldn’t need to use the jet set or fabric softener.
      Let me know if I misunderstood your question.
