I think the enunciation is due to her singing in a stylized different accent and she's playing with the smoothened and dropped consonants of some southern accents. Loved your commentary!

She co-wrote this song for the movie "Harriet". She didn't addlib plus the last line she sung were the last words Harriet Tubman spoke before she died. Harriet Tubman was a strong woman of faith and her reported last words were the words Jesus Christ spoke before He went to the cross. Did you guys do any background research before you critiqued the song. Some choices were intentional because of the person and the movie.

I think someone that is 99.9999% there is being treated unfairly... You guys are so nit-picky and most people couldn't even come close to doing what she did with this song!!! Almost the entire song was on point and you guys picked literally 4 or 5 words oit of the entire song that weren't 100% perfect that literally didn't take anything whatsover from the greatness of the song... I've always said this... but almost every vocal coach I've seen on youtube is on such a high horse... a song could be darn near perfect and they have to talk about those 3 or 4 very MINOR things that are really just irrelevant to the overall feeling of the song...
