    You have the best playthroughs, it's easy to follow, and it it concise. Other ppl have terrible camera angles, and little explanation. good job

    Not sure if you’re still looking at these comments but you mentioned the rebels could only complete one objective per round, but to my knowledge you could play two if one is a combat objective card and the other is a refresh phase objective card. Unless this is wrong.

    I'm sorry to point this out, but you made a little mistake ;)
    During the combat round at around 18:30, you said the tactics cards cancelled each other out, but they actually didn't. The imperial one gave you 2 hits. The rebel one only cancelled out dice results, so the 2 hits should have applied. But in the end it didn't really matter, because you killed your airspeeder with black damage even though he has red health!
    Sorry to be nitpicking but I love this game (probably my favourite of all times) so I notice every slight mistake ;) Still very enjoy the videos as said before!

      Thanks for letting me know! I already recorded the next episode but I will place these on there for any future watchers. For the mission, I thought as long as the leaders that are on the mission have the necessary icons you are ok. So even though one of the leaders did not have the logistics icon, I had sufficient leaders with the logistic icons to use the card. Is that wrong?

    • @paulvr8851
      @paulvr8851 Před 6 lety +2

      If I remember correctly, the rulebook says 'only leaders that have matching skill icons can be assigned to missions'. So you couldn't for example play two leaders with 1 diplomacy to do a 2 diplomacy card. They would both have to have the 2 icons. I don't have the rulebook near me so I can't check.

      I just checked when playing this game today and you were right! The rulebook clearly said you only need a matching total of skill icons. I'm sorry and I feel a little ashamed now ;) I'll edit my comment in order not to confuse any more people.

    How are you finding the solo experience then? Good enough to invest in the game + expansion if you're a Star Wars fan? Or is the game only worth the investment when you can play it regularly w. 2 people?

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  Před 6 lety +1

      It really depends. . I personally invested in it since I will be able to play it competitively at least 2-3 ties a year. BUT if you are a big Star Wars fan, the solo can be worth it! You just have to be OKAY making decisions for the AI sometimes!

    • @davidko9289
      @davidko9289 Před 6 lety +1

      Maybe get the base game to play solo, and if you like it get the expansion? The expansion improves combat a bit, although I'm not sure what combat would be like solo with the base game.

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  Před 6 lety +1

      Combat with the base game, the empire does not use tactic cards. Instead each tactic die roll requires you to re-roll one of your hits. That is how it is done in solo mode with just the base!

  • @Shenaldrac
    @Shenaldrac Před 6 lety +2

    Man, if only you'd grabbed those Death Star Plans.With your ships at Ord Mantel, you probably could have swept into Mandalore, taken out that Imperial transport ship, and tried to take out the Death Star before moving on to finally liberate Kashyyyk.
    Also, I dunno man I still think you might be able to pull off out-producing the Empire if you can keep your capital ships on the board better than they can (which you seem to be able to, since they've lost 2 Star Destroyers so far and you have lost none of your Mon Calimari Cruisers) and sabotaging their main production centers. And if you can start working on bringing Mon Calimari back to your loyalty... I'm not saying you *should* work towards beating the Empire at their own game and turning this into a symmetrical war. I'm just saying it would be pretty amusing if you managed it.
    For more serious advice: I think it would be beneficial to move the Ryloth fleet down into Geonosis to free it of those TIE Fighters. That's more production for you. Then if you can work to move the Mustafar fleet over towards Naboo, and attack Naboo with both the Mustafar AND Ryloth fleets together, that should overwhelm the Star DEstroyer and TIE Fighters there, and you only need to destroy a single stormtrooper on the ground to gain control. If you can manage that over the next turn or two, you'll have uncontested control of the entire right side of the board.
    With the Empire having moved forces into Mandalore to come for Illum, moving the Ord Mantel fleet to liberate Kashyyyk doesn't look possible, unless you want to risk tussling with the Death Star and then retreating away into Kashyyyk? I don't know how retreating works so that might not even be possible. Either way, with the Death Star fleet AND that big buildup of forces at Cato Nemoidia, your western fleet at Ord Mantel might be in serious trouble. They might wanna focus on playing keepaway; if they can lead most of the Empire's fleets on a wild goose chase then that gives you time to really cement your power on the right side of the galaxy and eat up turns, bringing you closer to victory.

    Thanks for this ,entertaining as always.
    I just ordered game+ expansion having played competitive 2 and 4 player, as the UK faces limits on household mixing for maybe another 6 months, decided it was time I gave the solo version a go. Though could use vorpal board.
    I am puzzled as to why you did not stick with the solo rules for the Empire to activate an area(movement) vs reveal a mission. Missions are roughly 50% of leaders (2,3,3,4 missions for game rounds 1,2,3,4+) and movement is towards PRB but will attack any Rebels along the way, Theme wise the AI prioritises Empire Missions first but still plenty of movement activations as half the time there will be Combat, the system also allows for leaders opposing Rebel missions/joining battles. Sticking to those rules means the Rebel player plans to block the Empire for both movement towards their base and misdirection of leaders and saves a lot of d6 rolls.
    Did you find an issue with them or assume they were not balanced?
    [Also when moving the Empire always leaves weakest ground unit in a system (populous or remote) providing it can match or exceed the combat value of any Rebel ground force present]

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi There! I honestly have no idea. . .haha! Just tried some stuff out and was wanting the Empire to be a bit more random so I couldn't "plan" on it doing something. Thanks for watching!

    • @j3errym
      @j3errym Před 3 lety +1

      @@OneStopCoopShop The Dark side and random is an oxy moron, predictable and ever present is more their style. The only mod over Dale's rules I will initially try will be deploying to ensure space and ground forces stay balanced , place lowest value ground unit in system with space but no ground adjacent to PBR/RB or Rebels , then next unit as normal , repeat until all space have at least 1 ground then remaining as normal.

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  Před 6 lety +1

      Not exactly. I think there is a way to play both sides where you do not know where the Rebel base is. That is the best way to control the empire

      Sadly no so once the leader is placed it has exhausted those units! That's why as a rebel player you might want to sabatoge where they're are lots of units to force the empire to not move them for a round if they decide to oppose it!
