The time-dependent Maxwell Equations are solved with FDTD-method (finite-difference-time-domain).
    Resolution: 500x500.
A thermal infrared EM-wave (300 micrometer wavelength line source, TM-mode) propagates in the x-direction and hits a micro-sized (non-conducting) cylinder with a different index of refraction (eps=10.0).
Non-reflecting open boundaries are implemented with PML-method (perfect-matching-layers).
Code was developed in Python. If I get enough likes, I'll upload the FDTD code on github.
Note: Axis unit should be mm instead of um.
