    This was really interesting! I had a classmate in primary school who had severe autism. Everyone assumed he couldn't do anything but I would sit next to him and do the work step by step. I realised he knew so much, he was just so overwhelmed all the time, sometimes he would rip the paper and then apologise. He'd ask me to take away distractions so he could work better. I wasn't diagnosed at the time, but I was the only kid in the whole class who managed to help him when he got upset

    Ezra has something called "Severe childhood apraxia of speech" and it makes it hard for him to move the mouth to verbalize any words out loud. This is why he cannot speak. Do I blame him? Absolutely NOT. Because Ezra was born like that. Ezra wants to communicate, he wants to speak. But he can't because of his autism. Again, I do not blame him. He's fine with being nonverbal. Thank God he only has autism, ADHD, SPD, OCD, and childhood apraxia of speech Because if he had more disabilities on top of severe autism like some other severely autistic adults kids he would possibly not be fine with being non-verbal. He would feel trapped. He would have self-injurous behaviors. It's a good thing that he's not doing any of that under any circumstances. Ezra is very intelligent than people think. It does not make him any less just because he has severe nonverbal autism. I also have autism but thankfully I'm not non-verbal because I was non-verbal until I was 5. I like to do 3D modeling and make elevators. I also do industrial automation solutions. 3d modeling electrical equipment, HVAC, VF drives, and other electrical equipment for buildings.

    Picture language is good, but it needs words under them so they can build more complex ideas later on. It's just nouns. Just post picture functions on the items used like the door. What symbol is used for doors? Then post a big sign that is used for the door on the door. He needs to build nouns up first before complex instructions can be added. Right now, it needs to be want or need then the noun.

    Over time you will want to use the high chair less and less with Ezra. At some point he will no longer need it because he will outgrow it.
    If Ezra does end up needing a larger high chair for a while you will want to get one that is made of wood because wood tends to be more durable than plastic and in many instances can support more weight. It may also have more stability. A high chair made of wood might be able to work for him as long as he needs it as long as it is constructed correctly.
    I think I read online some time back that some people and one or two companies can make high chairs (for example) out of wood that can be built to any specifications needed in order to support any necessary size and weight. They can be difficult to find and quite expensive, though, from what I have read. Also because they need to be custom made getting one in the correct size and having it delivered can take weeks or even longer from what I have heard and read on the subject.

    Ensuring the safety of a child during car travel is of utmost importance. It is strongly advised to utilize a 5-point harness system for young children, as it provides enhanced protection and secure restraint. Riding in a booster seat without proper strapping can pose significant risks. I recommend following the guidelines and recommendations provided by car seat manufacturers and consulting with certified child passenger safety technicians for expert guidance on installation and appropriate usage of child restraint systems.

    Jessica Duarte has a CZcams channel about her son who is on the autism spectrum (level two) and he is nonverbal but able to sing.
    The videos are in Portuguese and the automatic translation of the captions (once it has been activated) is not as precise as it could be. The only language I speak fluently is English. I speak some French and I read it better than I speak it. I learned some French from spending an entire academic year in France in 1999 to 2000 and I still remember some French.
    In any case if I think about the French that I do remember and I look at the Portuguese captions I sometimes feel like I can guess about what is being said in a few scenes in the videos. In one of the videos I recognized the melody of the song as being the “Wheels on the Bus” song, but in Portuguese. Also I was sort of able to get the gist of some of what was said in the flash card style descriptions/captions at the beginning of some of the videos. This is because French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese have some words (especially nouns) that are either identical or very similar. I can only get the gist, though, because the verbs, adjectives, and adverbs (for example) vary quite a bit more from one language to another.
    The bottom line of all of this is that even if you can’t get Ezra to talk right away he might be able to learn to sing. In addition to sign language and other communication methods it might help him to express his needs better. Even this might take a while (with Ezra being level three), but singing uses a different brain area than speech. For example, some people with Broca’s Aphasia are still able to sing.
    If Ezra can learn singing maybe he can eventually sing different songs to express different needs (e.g. hunger, thirst, etc.).

    I sometimes wonder, if i have autism but just a bit. I am very sensitive for noise, smell and crowded places, also for light/sunlight or in rooms if it comes from the ceiling. I can't sleep with noise. I hate my food mixed together before eating, but i like mixing it on the fork in the mouth. I am very eager to organise things so that they are even and it feels uncomfortable to have itchy clothes or so. I also don't like when my food gets wet or when people wanna share their food from their lunchbox with me, because of the strange smell. I don't have a problem with dirt when i am in the garden, but i need to clean afterwards and wash my fingernails etc. Yeah... sometimes i am unsure why i am so sensitive and if it would be autism, but on the other hand i talked a lot with 2 years, am very social etc... :/

An individual must have struggles with all three in order for them to be autistic. It is considered a spectrum disorder because it can manifest in a variety of ways and to varying degrees of severity. Hope this helps!💕💕💕

    • @7Aheadfamily
      @7Aheadfamily  Před 18 dny

      That is a very good and important question. Honestly there is no easy answer. I would encourage you to observe if she reacts differently when she is sick or hurting, compared to when she is upset for other reasons. Some things that Ezra does, is he will cry in a different way. His wine will sound different when he is sick. He’ll usually not have as much energy, he will usually act in ways that are strange to him or unusual for him. For example, Ezra will sometimes go in circles really slowly when he’s sick. He usually goes in circles really fast when he feels healthy. Also when he is sick, he will go sit in his bed by himself during the day. He will not usually do that if he is healthy. What’s really difficult about Ezra is even when we think that he is sick most the time, it is just a guessing game to figure out what is wrong with him.

    From what I can gather even on the off chance that they do work they would work by significantly (or even completely) rewiring the brain. Since it is the general consensus that our synaptic connections are what make us who we are there is every possibility that if the treatment changes his brain enough for him to not be autistic anymore that Ezra would no longer be Ezra.

      But, I think, others aren’t very bad. For example; Oven (His voice) isn’t perfect. But it is understandable. Specially; If the child between 4 and 7 years-old, Oven is the best choice for His age. Oven’s voice has pronunciation mistakes like a 5 or 6.
