- The handle of this Spray bottle is free falling and cannot build up pressure in the tank when you pump. Fixed this sprayer simply by replaced the O-ring with 2 different size O-rings from the Harbor Freight metric O-ring kit.

Great video. You saved me the cost of replacing both my sprayers.
Exactly what I need! I almost threw mine away because I didn't know how to fix it. Thank you.
Ty so much. Someone gave me a sprayer just like this. They didn't know how to open it (it's a relative) & I couldn't figure it out. I appreciate this so much. It's only me & I have to teach myself how to do everything related to home maintenance. I would not be able to do most things without videos like yours. You really don't know how much time & frustration you have saved me. Thanks again 💕
Thank you so much! I have the same one and glad I didn't throw it away.
very helpful info that helped me to fix my sprayer. Thanks!
Worked like a charm. Didn't replace the o-ring, but cleaned it off and it built pressure right away.
I haven't replaced my o-ring yet but just taking it apart and cleaning off the o-ring has helped enough to build pressure. Great video, thank you so much for this!
Great Job!!! Clean it out is the best, but if that doesn't work then now you know what you need to do beside buy a new one.
For the time spent I might as well go to the store and get a new one. A Reliable brand.
But I appreciate you trying to be helpful
Thanks, I was able to fix my sprayer, great job.🥳
Thank you so much. I went to use my sprayer yesterday and it wouldn't build pressure. Like many others i was going to throw it away and by a new one. Now I'll just go get some d silicone spray and O rings.
Cool fix
This is a great video. Unfortunately my pump is identical except for that slot where you put the screw driver to pull out the o-ring. So I tried to cut it out with the tip of a utility knife, but to no avail. I ended up transferring all the herbicide into another pump container I'd previously used for poison ivy. Thanks anyway!
Thanks! Theres a kit on Amazon for 9 dollars US with all the parts. this is the "O" type sprayer. Just search for "roundup professional sprayer parts"
New one is $9.00 tossed mine and bought battery powered one. No more pumping!
More power to you !!!
Thanks
When I push both tabs the outer wheel will NOT turn clock-wised. Help please !!
The instructions said turn counter clockwise I fooled with it about 30 minutes watching this video said turn clockwise went back outside it came right apart 😂
About to throw this away until I watch this.
Update:
Bought the O-ring kit from Harbor Freight and my sprayer is fixed.
I can’t get it open still. Seems like on all the comments everyone else was able to do it. I’ll try to watch the video again. Good video but it’s just me
I still have my old one but I can't get it open its Do it best yellow 3 liter can
Same here, I place it between my leg and sit on it (like riding on a mechanical bull), then use both hand to turn the top to open it.
I left mine out in the hot sun for about 2 hours first, then after you get it open using dave valinty
technique below, lubricate the rubber seal area with silicone to prevent it from seized up.
I shoved a screwdriver behind each tab
All you would have needed to do is clean that O-ring and the tube and put on silicone grease, there was nothing wrong with that O-ring
before the video, I have tried to clean that Oring and the bore but it doesn't works. O-ring clearance is too small and too loose to have the pressure buildup.
That was too long a video to address a simple problem
Yes True R. Next time just buy a new one. It's much quicker (LOL).
@@davevalinty4293 mate I have fixed a lot of things and without delay.
My only point was that it was a long video.
