- Brake pads and rotors may seem pretty straight forward, but you'd be amazed at the difference choosing the right type of pads to suit the type of driving you do can make to everything from brake feel to stopping distance and even noise!

Waitng for second part- "How to choose the left brakes...")))
Thanks for that Brett, yep, I did the wrong thing, new pads old disc and not machined, well, now to pay for the machining and probably new pads as they have glazed badly. Brake shop will be the ones to guide me on this , but your info on the brake pad compounds has helped me alot in deciding what to use in tune with the type of driving we do here, Thanks again, love the vids and appreciate your time
Nice video Brett, lot of great info. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Can u Please make a video on the new 2019 or 2020 wrx sti
Please open a workshop in Melbourne🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hi Brett, can you do a video on using a dial gauge on fitting discs as it’s quite important to keep the runout to a minimum
Hi Brett, thanks for another informative video! I would like to know your opinion regarding brake screeching noise? I often hear a screeching noise (sounds like a bicycle) in the morning while backing out the garage, although the noise does disappear once the brakes heat up. I have the DBA T3 slotted rotors with DBA blue pads on my FXT.
Helpful as always thanks Brett. I’m trying to find info for the UK market 2014MY (SJ) 2.0D for brake upgrades - would like to upgrade whole system (larger discs & calipers) but struggling to find the right parts. Do you have any info on how many components are the same between the base model 2.0D vs XT vs Impreza / WRX platforms?
This was Andy Forrest’s pre-runner car? Neat. Good to see his GC isn’t the only Impreza he drives 🙃
Will evo 8 front brembo brake fit my15 wrx
Would love to see a video on your opinion of the differences in reliability between the EJ 20x, EJ 25x, and FA engines.

@@stuff1235 ahhh cool, cheers for the reply
Hey, is Bret still around? :(
I'm considering buying a used forester/outback manual diesel to tow a 1200kg camper around australia over several months. I don't think the car is built to do that over such a long period of time- corrugated tracks, dust and the fact its a second hand vehicle (aiming for one around 100k on the clock. Can you give us a run down on to do to upgrade a used vehicle - engine, manual trans, suspension, wheels/tyres and brakes and I'd like a high/low range conversion too. Can you guys suggest a ball park figure for such work and parts? I figure a used car will probably need all these things done anyway, so the upgraded/quality parts you are recommending will only have an incremental cost on readying such a vehicle. I must say that yes, I know a Mitsubishi challenger/Isuzu MUX are probably better suited, but I like subarus - comfortable, sure footed, reliable and plenty of second hand parts. I'm not interested in getting more power, I'm interested in reliability. I'll be on holidays and they should be taken slowly! Cheers, and thanks in advance.
I bought the right discs but the pad squeak like crazy. I need to change them.
