This dresser was hidden in a stable after the owner gave up on trying to epicycle it. I took it home and completely transformed it into a modern boho statement piece with very unique custom legs.
Thanks for watching ,

You work full time in a hospital, you study full time at school AND you have a youtube channel which you upload to every week?? Damn, that's a serious grind. I subbed to you about 10 mins ago because I've seen a few of your videos now and I love them. I wish you all the success. Your hard work deserves to be recognised and applauded. Huge respect.
That is very kind. Welcome and keep watching ;-) More goos stuff coming soon
Amazing, I agree!
Exactly. Daaaang. Maaaaybe when I was in my 20s, but no way anymore. 🥵🥵
@@healingtimeforme813 i also agree
@@FlippingdrawersWow! I didn’t realize that did all that-work in a hospital, attend school full time, and do furniture on You Tube. I have even more respect for you! 👍👍👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😀💕🌸
Just for future reference, if you soak the cane webbing as well before cutting it and stapling it in, it's much easier to work with and then as it dries it tightens up. Just be sure to use enough staples that it doesn't pull taught strangely. Very cool transformation!
Tienes razón en eso de remojar esa malla (no sé cómo se llama ) pero después todo el trabajo está perfecto 👍
That's what I thougt also. It must be soaked, that's correct. By the way - you call the wickerwork "cane webbing" ? In Germany it's called "Wiener Geflecht" = Vienna weave
Love that old timey gospel song, Leaning, leaning on the everlasting arm! Love it. 💖
You are not only a talented furniture artist but your videos are interesting and entertaining with music sound effects and only necessary talking. I'm liking the editing, your vibe is cool.
Wow, thank you! You are the first to say that and it is pretty much spot on how I wanted this video to be seen. 👍🏻
I have become addicted to watching you restore furniture and I have fallen in love with you because you bring deep memories of my father that used to be one of the best carpenters from Puerto Rico 😊😊
You are the most creative CZcamsr so far! Another beautiful transformation!!
Yay! Thank you!
Hello Jay!
My name is Alexandre, I'm Brazilian, a nurse, a teacher and I also have a passion for woodworking.
I really like your work!
After watching a lot of youtubers restoring furniture, I like your attention to detail much better. And you are not sloppy with your products you apply. Great job. You've got my sub.
Thanks Irene and welcome 🤗
You did not disappoint this time either. Especially like the new designed legs and the woven cane drawer covers. This would look good in many homes. Good job.
Thanks ! Seems your opinion is a bit controversial ha ha ha but I definitely agree ;-)
@@Flippingdrawers Ah well, you are not going to produce a universal like on each and every piece you do. It is still quality work.
Leaning on His ever lasting arms. Love it!
Quite the transformation, Jay!
I agree. Antique Bronze hardware would have been quite sharp.😉
How you accomplished this in the midst of work and school is simply astounding. Well done and thank you!👏👏👏👏👏
It's fascinating how you envision something ordinary amd elevate it to something extraordinary. Fantastic work!
Thanks 😉
Bourbon Moth is very talented and he is funny. You have so much fun and you have the kitties, so furry and fluffy. You do amazing work. Thank you.
I love this music, too.
Thank you so much!
Now that's a drastic difference from the original. Very unique and fresh!
Thanks Liz! Im loving those legs. Will definitely make them again.
I like how the cats trust you. Also I like how you explain to us.
always a joy to watch. clean and real personality. I can enjoy watching with my daughter. always looking forward to the next project.
I love how you can just buy this man coffee. It’s so simple but nice.
yes it is. When you think about it the videos are free to watch but it takes me on average a week to make one so that is a nice way of supporting me so I can actually do it.
Holy smokes Jay!!!! I know you try & challenge your self with every build to get better & better but, this one is next level Bud. With the cane on the drawer fronts & those legs you gave this piece another 50 years of life in someone's home!! Well done Bud. Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
Thanks Mike! Trying to keep you entertained 😉
I worked since a child next to my father and you have made retorn to me all theses beautiful memories of loving wood: its smell, how it looks or how feel your hands touching a perfect work with no (extremely) sophisticated tools .
Glad you enjoyed it🥰
Love the legs and the huge contrast in color!
Oh my. That is some serious re work. Love the legs and hardware and good eye on the change of stain or wax.
God surley blessed you with the gift of creativity and art.
That transformation is beautiful.
Love your work and the true grit it takes to complete each project.
The legs are so cool, this piece turned out beautifully
awesome ! thanks
Really Brilliant! LOVE THE LEGS.
🥰
You are an artist! Everything I've seen you do is amazing! I love the way this piece turned out! The gold you painted on it to match the hardware was brilliant! Ty for sharing! You are a great inspiration!
Love new design
.. legs are fabulous
Glad you like them!
This turned out very well; I like the leg design and their contrasting colour. Anybody would be proud to have this in their home now that you've worked on it. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Thank you very much Mark !
Soft voice. loud music. Good work.
Oh wow!! Take a bow this is uniquely beautiful 🥰. Yes please to a tutorial on the very unique legs. Awesome job👍👍
Thank you! Will do!
I like the addition of the caning and the custom legs. I don't know if I would have used them on the same piece, but I think you did good work.
🤷🏼
Wow! Beautifully done. Thank you for having us along.
Thank you ;-) Glad you enjoyed it!
You totally transformed this piece! Amazing job, Karol!
🥰 thank you 🙏 it was an interesting project. That’s for sure
So different...stunning transition...the legs are so Danish modern to me...thank you for sharing.
What a busy man you are! Gosh, this turned out gorgeous! Blessings from the middle of California....Love your channel.
Thank you so much!
Fantastic transformation!!!
Thanks ☺️
Oh my goodness those legs!!!!!
I'm so glad you do ! it was definitely a risk but I absolutely love them and will make them again .
Beautiful.
I would choose a different finish for my legs……
Just a personal preference.
I remember watching , for many hours……..my step father build furniture from scratch……measuring and creating furniture for our home. Very relaxing and satisfying 🥰
How you elevated the dresser and glued the legs in place before mounting with screws was genius!
😎 I do have lucid moments now and again 😂 Thanks !
Just watched this one again. So cool!
Wonderful transformation, love the bell, great job!
Thank you Edna 🙃
Very creative!! If we never experiment, we don’t learn. Well done!
Thank you 🤗 well said Elaine !
Love the legs! I may do a piece down the road like this. Thank you for sharing!!
You are so welcome mate and feel free to use the idea. I'm sure you're gonna put your spin on it 😉
All I can say is...BRILLIANT!
Thank you 😊
Great idea with the legs.
I kept hearing "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms" throughout and I looked at the artist - he has my surname. Coincidence!
What a striking and original transformation that is! Always appreciate your attention to detail.
Thanks Gina 😊
Wow! Well I did not see that coming. Love the new legs Karol. Such a great job. Well done.
Keeping you on your toes Emer 😜 and thank you !
@@Flippingdrawers Ya sure are!
You have great vision and talent and tools.
You are very kind ;-)
I love outside the box….this is Restoration Hardware worthy…
When you work with the cane its much easier if you soak it first as it stretches a bit then when its dry it will shrink giving a much tighter and better finish . Great idea what you did with the legs
Thanks. I know that. I did say that in the video. I sprayed it with water this morning and dried it with a hair dryer. Got exactly the same result😉
@@Flippingdrawers i did hear you comment on it lol ,sadly soaking prior is the only fix
Mounting the legs on the sides made this piece different from anything I have seen. Great idea. You are very creative. Enjoyed listening to Leaning On The Everlasting Arms.
Awesome! Thank you Veronica.Glad you liked it
The amount of time and patience plus all the tools and how to use them ! Remarkable.
Thank you Janis 👍
Very interesting. I like your creativity and conceptual development. I also love the way you recycle other "extras." When you pulled out the wicker cane I got excited. I love that stuff. We did some of our kitchen cabinets with in--as inserts. It is kind of tricky. My husband had never used it before either but it turned out great. We did bamboo veneer on the cabinets. With bronze hardware. So the wicker cane was stained dark brown. It looks fabulous. On this note I know how the cane is supposed to look. Yours needs some more work, kind of puffy! You have to pull it tight, staple and then cover up the staples on the inside. I like your out-of-the box modern legs. What I liked to have seen you do is put that stain color from the legs some where else on the dresser. That would tie it all together better. I would have done a dark brown stain on the legs and on the cane? Anyway, my two cents. I'm just a retired graphic designer. But I do know basic design!
I love how it all came together!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks ;-)
As soon as I saw the intro I knew it'd be a good one! Love love your work, especially the way you troubleshoot, reminds me of my dad♥️
Thank you 🙏
Interesting solution which worked really well, how to turn an average chest of drawers into a unique piece, just fabulous!!!
Thank you 😊
Hi. Just a suggestion. If you wet the woven cane for about 20 minutes before you mount it, it will draw itself tight as it dries. I used to do alot of caning.
Turned out beautiful and I love the legs!!!!
Thank you ! I hope to see more people use this idea.
Yes please. It will be great to learn how to make them. Thank you.
What a complete transformation! I like to call your videos “The magic show”. BTW, I enjoyed the music, “Leaning”. Used to sing that song in church. Be well.
Like the transformation. I personally would have the legs match color wise, but it is a truly stunning transformation. Thanks so much for sharing with us😊
It looks better than before. I'm glad you like it.
Absolutely WOW!!! Stunning!
Wow! What a transformation! I love the finish the lime wax gave it. Very beautiful.

Irriconoscibile la cassettiera!!... L'hai trasformata talmente tanto che diventata galattica futuristica e bellissima !!... Sei veramente bravo, ma talmente bravo.... Absolutely beautiful and unique!!!!

Wow! So beautiful 🤩! I love the legs! Your very talented!Love your choices of music on the video too!
Wow, thank you!
I know this is an older video, but the algorithm decided I needed to watch it. Glad I did. I like the way you did the cane work on the top drawers. That was a nice touch. I wasn't sure where you were going with the legs as you were building them but the idea worked out quite nicely. Awaiting your next update video. That whole dresser turned out well.
Thanks for watching 🙃
Dude. Ok, now you’re just showing off! Love the legs and the liming wax. Both were a great idea!!! ✌🏻❤️
Ha ha ha the best comment 😂
