- čas přidán 7. 01. 2024
- I recently visited America and went to the most dangerous unique hoods in New York City, where Wooo gang was birthed - Brownsville, Brooklyn. In this eye-opening documentary, we'll go beyond the headlines to uncover the stories of these communities and the dedicated individuals working to create positive change and avoid tough and dangerous prison to dangerous city like chicago. From meeting gang member to rappers, towns where murders are a common thing. While these neighbourhoods have faced their own set of challenges, the people here are resilient, and their sense of community is truly inspiring. Our mission is to showcase the real stories, the everyday heroes, and the efforts being made to enhance these areas. If you've been inspired by creators like Tommy G and Hoodvlogs, who have shone a light on community stories, you won't want - miss this exploration of Hunts Point and Fort Greene.
Be sure to check out our previous educational documentary on New Orleans, "The Murder Capital of America," as we delve deeper into the causes and solutions surrounding crime in America.

I was raised next to Brownsville in the 80s and early 90s!!! East NY, Brooklyn!! That whole area was like a war zone!! Everyday shoot outs and deceased body everywhere!! Crack cocaine on its heights!! Drug dealers fighting for turf!! And people dying of AIDS and overdose!! It’s was a time as a teenager that almost had me traumatize!! My parents save my life by us moving to Long Island, NY!! Truly crazy times!!
BK was Homicide central in the 90s
These kids today think they in the hood, BK in 2024 is a suburb compared to the 90s

Really enjoyed this video. I admire your courage to go to these dangerous places to speak with the locals. Max was very like-able and authentic, especially about his passion to help the Youth. It’s all about the Children.
My dad was born in Brownsville back in 1947. He joined the Air Force in the '65. He said joining the military saved him and that if he'd stayed in Brownsville he would have been killed or incarcerated.

I’m from NYC and move comfortably in any neighborhood but I really got my car stolen behind my back in Brownsville 😭😭

These guys have REAL love for their neighborhood. The city should support and invest in communities like this.
I live in Philly now but I was born and raised in Van Dyke houses and for most of my life, Brownsville was a warzone but I didn't quite realize that until I moved away. It's dangerous for most but if you are from there, it's home and it's beautiful. There were times when we beefed with Brownsville Houses and they're across the street smh. The youngins were able to calm that down and somewhat unify the area. I love Brownsville with every ounce of my being and thank God for the lessons I learned from my upbringing there.

THE VILLE CALMED DOWN ALOT, i grew up in the ville in the late 80s early 90s and made it out, today isn't even close to how it was
Brownsville always been notoriously bad in NYC since the mid 70's. Crazy how things are still very much the same even today. I had family members who lived there and I made sure I stayed visible to the locals so they would know who I was since I came up there frequently. They lived in The Van Dyke Projects. I grew up in Red Hook then so I fit right in and never had issues Thank God. Shit was nervous.
Red hook was rough… I went to JHS with everyone from red hook, Gowanus, wyckoff, AT… coming from Flatbush it was a whole new world for me back then!
I used too go shopping with my Family back in the early 80's on Picken Ave. Then years down the line,I played Basketball in Brownsville during the late 90's too 2011, had fun with a lot of my Friends.
They're proud about spending all that money buying somebody else's weed when they could be growing their own and growing stuff probably at least that good OR better and saving their money. Anybody reading this that smokes weed or eats it or enjoys it in any way please remember it is very easy to grow and very worth doing it get some good seeds and just grow some. Especially outside even off one plant it is very easy to get enough for the whole year. I even helped a blind guy set up his own grow. So literally even if you're living in a tiny shoebox apartment you can still grow a couple plants or if you're living on 20 acres you can easily grow too, and so much more rewarding when you're smoking your own. Remember make seeds if you can also because once dry and put in an airtight container they can last almost forever. And then your biggest problem will be deciding what to grow next because you have over 70 types of fire in different seed strains. Grow the sacred HERBS
Not everybody wants that smell in they house bro🤣

Brownsville don't need programs, they need fathers to teach their sons how to speak English.
Thank you. You 100 about that. They’re speaking English just not proper English from England from white folks. They’re speaking into their culture of dialect. Stop being bias they ain’t white
@@omariorou1339they dont need white but u buggin why u in your feelings they do need fathers to raise them
@@Islam.is.the.truth.. I’m not bugging. English is a white Anglo-Saxon language from England/Britain. That language isn’t black culture. African languages from Africa is. So therefore we shouldn’t speak it cuz slave masters stripped black ppl of their language, culture and heritage and spirituality from Africa. U don’t see white ppl speaking African languages in the US nor in Europe. It’s hardly happening. So why should black ppl? Relatively speaking, yes, but it's bad for the people there who are involved in crime. It's better for those who are not living an illegal lifestyle but, sadly, when enough people around you are criminals it does negatively impact your quality of life. Dude said "you turn into a grown man at a young age" i would have to respectfully disagree with him that they are geown men. They act like children in my opinion
In the early 90's brownville and east new york which were next door to each other were rough areas and canarsie which was next door also was where i lived.I worked in a florist and was the delivery person.I had a delivery in that area near livonia ave and when i went there the building was about 100 feet from street and there was about 20 guys hanging out in front of building and i said to myself no way im going in there right now,and went back to my boss at florist in canarsie.I told my boss what i saw and unless i have piece on me i aint gonna do it; he goes into his waste band pulls out a piece hands it to me,i take it and flowers gets delivered.Note That area you had to make sure your strapped because when seconds count the police are just minutes away.
