Lebrons competition is not tougher than Jordan’s. People believe that his competition was tougher because his competition was able to beat him. Jordan’s competition never beat him so people don’t realize how great those teams were. Btw, although pippen was great, he was a finals choker, big time. So Jordan carried the load in a major way, especially in the first 3-peat

K love and Kyrie weren’t healthy for 2015 Finals. Warriors picked up KD and beat them twice. Those 3 years are crucial and I would argue unfair to hold against his status compared to Jordan. Jordan never had to face the circumstance that LeBron did.

Lebron plays in a softer easier league, the athletes maybe better but the players back then were better basketball players who were tougher. His competition was harder than Lebrons, the East had the Bad Boy Pistons, Birds Celtics, Ewings Knicks, Reggies Pacers, Shaq n Pennys Magic etc. It was the big man era and he still did whatever he wanted and dominated both ends of the court! He's 6-0 in the finals with 6 finals MVPs, DPOTY, scoring titles, MVPs, and had the greatest team record of 72-10 before the Warriors but got the title that year too. I'll take that season with a ring over losing in the finals. His intangibles as a leader on and off the court were crazy and he could trash talk with the best of them and back it up. Imagine he was born with Lebron's body too smh I'll take Larry Bird over Lebron any day and a lot of players say they take Kobe over Lebron like come on man. The flu game was actually food poison, they literally tried to kill him in Utah with poison on the pizza he ate and he still dropped 40 and won the game while any other human would be in a hospital bed hanging on for their life. He's not only the GOAT player but the GOAT athlete over anyone you can name Ali, Gretzky, Bo Jackson, Mike Tyson, Jim Brown, Babe Ruth, Tom Brady, etc. I thank God that I was able to witness most of his career, I was born in 86 so I grew up crying watching him kill my Knicks every year haha His Jordan brand is a billion dollar brand for a reason and every player who played in the same era has stories for days about how he dominated everyone. He made free throws with his eyes closed in games while Lebron air balls them, he got beat down in his early years by the Bad Boy Pistons while Bron flops and complains to the refs. Everyone has their own opinion but MJ was a special icon and legend we will NEVER see again!

Another corny LeBron James fans. This is not even debatable, Michael Jordan before he even played his first NBA game was already considered the greatest player of all times. And he proved it. LeBron James has another player that has the same amount of rings as he, by the name of Stephen Curry. Show only LeBron James, and leave Michael Jordan out of your post. Prove to us why LeBron James is the greatest basketball player of all time. Don't use stats or statistics without showing he made his shots during actual competition. And not in garbage times. We already know Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all times. But you right ahead with this lame comparison that will end very soon when Curry gets one more ring while LeBron James is playing. He is not the second greatest player, he's not even 8th greatest basketball player. Losing to me with all that talent matters.

Think of a smaller but much faster Kevin Durant with a close to unstoppable midrange shot. Much like Kobe who imitated all of his moves, you need to pay more attention to his footwork in the midrange game, that what for me along with his nine 1st all defensive team awards and defensive player of the year that takes him over the top over the top of Lebron.

@@luhhvii we're talking about a league where you're not allowed to even touch a player. LeBron's best scoring is the highest percentage amongst everyone in that position. What 300lb muscle dude is going to miss a dunk? Also how great will the warriors be with pressure? As fragile as Curry would have been exploited.

Today's game is so soft. Open drives to the basket and a 3 point contest. You breathe on a player and it's a foul. No defense at all. Players don't even get back on defense . Half the players today wouldn't even make the practice squad back then. No fundamentals . 6 steps walking to the basket. No midrange game at all. Run and gun style that reminds me of the street league back in the day. Everyone thought they were so great because they shot 3 s and open dunks. But only a couple of those players ever made it to the NBA and never started. Hell Kobe scored over 60 his last game with a bad foot in this modern era. NO DEFENSE AT ALL . A Prime Kobe today would average over 40. A Prime MJ would average 50.

Lebron James is a great player.
However, the title of Greatest Of All Time needs to be given to, well, THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME.
Lebron James had years where he was considered the best player in the league despite not winning championships.
    Guess what?
    So did Michael Jordan!
Even when he couldn't get passed the Eastern Conference, even when he would get swept by the Celtics, even when he would get pummeled by the Pistons.
Everyone knew who was the best player in the court.
Once Scottie developed into an all-star level player, the Bulls never looked back.
A lot of people claim Lebron is more durable and has better longevity than MJ.
However, Lebron isn't really performing defensively in his recent seasons, and he's only 37 years old.
Michael in the Wizards at 40 years old while suffering from foot and knee injuries played 82 games with about 37 minutes per game hustling on BOTH OFFENSE AND DEFENSE averaging 20.0 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 3.8 apg, and 1.5 spg.
So in all honesty, based on the stats, accomplishments, performances, and all the in-betweens, Michael Jordan is THE G.O.A.T. and is on a league of his own.

which is why most people do"t respect your answer . pick a side go there go there and stay there. dp"t explain let your a nswer speak for it self.

Jordan in his prime would have dominated in an era! He had a 4’ vertical. He would have been even better today as their not allowed to crowed that paint today which would have opened up the rim even more for him. He could dunk on anyone from anywhere on the floor multiple players at a time!
LeBron wouldn’t have faired as well back then as most of his shots are within 3’ of the rim. Fouls weren’t given as much and well he’s also not a great free throw shooter.

How dare you have a nuanced opinion on this subject?!? This is the internet and youtube, you must have a hardline unmoveable stance! jk; Lebron is greatness all his own, MJ and Lebron as your guards on any all time team, not sure any other guard duo is better than them. Thing w/MJ is he is doing this at 6'6" vs legit 7 ft big men who's job was to guard the paint and block shots. He was beating up on the likes of Ewing, Matumbo, BigCountry, Lambier, etc. Those aren't 6'10 F's cos playing at C like todays league.
They didn't win much w/old man MJ, but look at the record pre, with, and post MJ, and you can see that he was making a difference on that team. Went from Lottery to in the running for the playoffs w/him.

Statistics are useless in today’s NBA because MJ would double every statistic LeBron’s has. AND, LeBron’s statistics will not be half of what he has now if he played in MJ’s era BECAUSE he’ll be physically “killed” by the Bad Boys, and almost all others like Magic, Bird, Hakeem, Shaq, Kobe, Karl Marlone, David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Charles Barkley, Ewing, Rodman, et al.
MJ played against Hakeem, Hakeem coached LeBron and you can see for yourself:
