- Located in Raytown, Missouri, Harp Barbecue forever changed the culinary landscape of Kansas City. Tyler Harp's journey from weekly pop-up to national attention hasn't changed his primary focus, serving the best barbecue in KC.

Trondheim Studios is a photography studio and gallery in Overland Park, Kansas.
This is my favorite place to go to and I enjoy it everytime I go!
I try to go as often as possible, especially when having a bad day at work. I love the staff and have never been disappointed with the ribs!
I live like 5 blocks from Harps, and the way they cook their sausages, one bite and you'll screech like a bald eagle.
Great story! Thanks for sharing. God Bless.
Well done fellas
Seeing dad choke up a bit really got me family is everything. Tyler, keep it up brother. You will not regret asking dad to jump on board. I hope to visit your place one day. I'm only 7 hours away!! thanks for sharing this story.
Dam, makes me homesick. I grew up on 66th terrace just a couple of blocks from what is now Harp. I left KC in 1988 for my job but had been to all the well known KC BBQ places up till then. The BBQ scene is much different than what I was accustomed to. My next trip to KC will be checking out Harp. Thanks for the video.
Absolutely fantastic. Beautiful shots and an amazing interview. 😎
Excellent interview! Love hearing your heart about what you do! Your BBQ always brings big smiles & much joy to our family!
I LOVE this place I wish they didn't do away with their onions....😢 But I will live, EVERYTHING on their menu is amazing!
What an awesome story. If I lived anywhere near there, I would eat there three days a week.
Great human piece
The best BBQ in Kansas City is made in my back yard lol 😂
I'm an old KC homeboy, grew up here with all the outstanding BBQ and IMO Harps is the best. Great video and story, makes me look forward to the next visit. Thanks guys for all you do!'
Where is it
You got to be crazy he must be in Kansas City Kansas cuz Kansas City mo got Gates and LC and Arthur Bryant's and Big t's and so on
What a great story.
Amazing and wonderful.
He has great bbq meat.. the sides lack.. so I get the ribs..brisket.. with gates fries 🤣
Absolutely the best in KC. It's better than mine.
Great BBQ and a nice guy
Harp does it right! It’s honestly the best BBQ in KC- I’m glad Tyler is getting the recognition he deserves! #1 !
The guy parked in a handicap spot and working 14 hours days 😂
I went year ago. Good meat, sauce was meh… ketchup with pepper
Wish they showed the food more 🤷
He got to be in Kansas City Kansas cuz he's not better than no Gates and LC's Big t's or Arthur Bryant's
Danny Edward's bbq is really as well.
Sides and sauce are not very good at Harp. Meat isn’t bad
Arthur Bryants all day long.
I split an AB's sandwich with Tyler Harp while working on this story. Legendary. Thanks for watching. God bless.
Don’t like Dry Bbq no Texas style
Texans don't like dry bbq either
This is not the best BBQ in KC by far. It’s pretty good though.
What is some of your top picks for bbq? There’s so many bbq restaurants in KCK & KCMO
@@MooreMeat_KC_BBQ Big 3 are Joes KC, Q.39, Jack Stack. Honorable mention Slaps, Hawg Jawl The nooner sandwich at Gates. There’s so many others. Everyone has their own small shops they like.
No way jack stack is making that list for me. Last time I went it was just flat out subpar. Bad enough I wouldn’t go back. Q39 though any day
@@frank13621 go back. Sure you didn’t go to Jack in the box
Harp, Chef J's, Wolfpack, and Joe's KC are my favorites.
Gtfoh. Not even close.
Hard to argue with such cogent analysis. God bless.
Just saying something is the best does not make it so. Harps BBQ is not the best and I’ve got a list! I tried Harps during peak lunchtime on a weekday and was surprised there wasn’t more customers, only a handful. I wondered why they weren’t living up to their hype? I soon found out after I placed my order for a Brisket sandwich and loaded potato salad side, both were awful. The brisket was tough and lacked flavor and the potato salad seemed like an experiment gone wrong, it just didn’t taste good - bland and a bad mix of ingredients. It was expensive, nearly $20. I haven’t been back and won’t be going back. The critic from KC Magazine is the only one who touts Harps as being the best in KC. He must live out of town because, in my opinion, he’s out of touch with KC BBQ.
This is one of the dumbest f-ing stories about KC BBQ I've ever seen....essentially the guy from Kansas City Magazine (which is an authoritybon trends and popularity, NOT quality) is saying that KC BBQ wasn't good enough until somebody brought in Texas style....
Here's a thought: move to Texas and eat your fiil, D-Bag.
Harp's is REALLY good, but to say it's the best in KC, and supoort that by saying it's Texas style is asinine.
What do you like in KC
@frank13621 My favorite has been Smokin' Guns. There are too many great places to list them all, but that's been my go-to for nearly 20 years.
To be clear, I'm not saying Harp isn't great - it is. BUT to say it's the best in KC because of the Texas influence is silly and dismissive of Kansas City BBQ.
