This track should be the national anthem of the USA.
America has never been described so accurately and eloquently!
YEP
If that’s how you see America, I feel sorry for you. You must have a sad depressed life.
@@mattie9481 What the fuck are you doing in this video lol
This is a classic should have been nominated for best song and video of the century
2020
we
still
here
The flow and delivery of his words is just amazing, you can feel he really feels it.
Yeah
Yeah
Classic... should have been nominated for best song and video of the century
Can't get enough of this song.... His flow is SO GOD.DAMN. SMOOTH! Sometimes reminds me of ODB's flow... but then again that's debatable...
Jack Sparrow Naw, it's clear he learned his flow from Scarface. But he put that style to some proper hardcore lyrics. I'm a racist, but I'll give props where it's due: not many, white or Black, will focus their intellect or rage at the right targets. He does.
Pure gold. Poetry. Lyrically and methodically kills it. Plus I can jam to the melody even without words.
thats class consciousness for you
For real. Marvelous song, even if sound a bit like Scarface.
This song is an insult to snakes.
What did snakes ever do?
I like your profile pic, Amanita Muscaria aka alice in wonder land mushroom or mario shroom. I sell them for 5 dollars a piece and the cops can't touch me because it is one of the four only legal psychedelics. It contains no psilocybin just muscamol which is why it is legal and also hallucinagenic. I have people call the cops on me all the time and the cop just says oh sorry for bothering you and I'm trippin.
Evan Clayson and slaves and thieves.
Society Of The Fly *fart*
I'm not kidding when I say that Brother Ali and Slug.. are two of the sickest rhymesayers to ever grace this planet.
listening on the 4th of July
Drink a beer and smoke joint for me
"now stand your ass up for that National Anthem.....Brother Ali, this song is a decade old, but yet so relevant!!!!
This is so fuckin' aswesome I could cry!!! That's what It's all about! Keep groovin' and truthin' Brother Ali!
doublegu
the most soulful rapper i've heard it's just natural for him
This should be blowing up right now
Yo brother Ali called everything in 2020
This song becoming even more relevant in 2020; it's meaning rings true....
Going into 22 too
23…
Only one word can describe the feeling of listening to this track for the first time -> wow!
I've listen to this 4 times now,, sweet goddamn beat. Well of course lyrics wise too...
this has to be the most powerful rap ive heard in describing the evil empire that rules the world. well done brother ali. so well done and a nice tune to get your message across also. great job
This song seems so applicable in this day and age. It kind of upsets me when I hear people bumping this song yet they've never taken the time to actually listen to the lyrics and understand what the song is about.
Gave me shivers.
In my opinion I found this song brilliant and most importantly a message that you don't typically find these days in rap. Yes we are blessed to be in America, but we as citizens have the power to have a say in what Ali is spitting in this song. Brother Ali is my favorite rapper of today for the fact that he doesn't receive enough attention due to his controversial lyrics.
I know i should just be happy this song exists ,but i still wish more rap was like this
Brother Ali
Can someone tell me why this video's having this few amount of views while Lil Wayne is famous as fuck?
because lil gayne doesn't actually make hip hop but some other weird stupid shit
Yes, illuminati.
RPJSoz 2Pac didn't believe in it. Why should we?
ahmad312 Yeah man 2Pac didn't believe it, that's why he made an album with the word "Killuminati" in the name.
MK Ultra He said that these sensationalized stories are another way to keep us occupied and down.
"legacies so engrained in the way that we think, we no longer need chains to be slaves" DAMN.
Powerful Lyrics! Love The Song!
Wishing it was unedited. Love this message though.
An American classic! Well said, Brother!
“Our masters have not heard the people's voice for generations and it is much, much louder than they care to remember.”
― Alan Moore
ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, this song alone gives me the shivers, those words are powerful and damn well meaningful, land of the thieves, home of the slaves. so true.
Allah hu akhbar! Great artist
"Welcome to the United Snakes
Land of the thief, home of the slave"
Grand Imperial Guard
Shiiit man ... This classic fer sure 💯
Brother Ali for president!
"legacies so ingrained in the way that we no longer think we need chains to be slaves." damnn
Just heard this at the end of a Hopi Indian documentary. Had to immediately find it. Powerful, real, true, boom. Wow
Telling it like it is xD This guy is awesome.
i have loved this song since day one so ironic sarcastic and it delivers an strong message with a smooth voice
If I could "like" this a billion times....
What he said in his lyrics is true for all yall getting butthurt about his lyrics
TJace50 anyone who lives outside of the USA knows every word is true
TheMattozzie i live inside the US and knows its true
the mass awakening in the US is in full effect which is good.. but may be too late
TheMattozzie its not, I only see it because i lived outside the country for a while, the world can see american foriegn policy first hand, americans can't. They are blinded by their media to ever care what happens outside their borders. And its that American pride (particularly in the republican party) that justifies anything we do. Bottom line its education.
TJace50 He makes very strong points, not 100% is true though, after all this is art, not fact.
2024 still bumping!
Song has never been so on point.
Again, song has never been so on point. RIP USA
Jz
Agreed
I love this track it gives me chills it's so good
You should have more upvotes. Most sensible comment I've seen on this page.
god damn, that's a hell of a song.
I heard this song in college (love the video I listen to the unedited track while i watch it) and it's so true. and still true. and will always be true until people wake up. I hate the idea of "TAKING THE COUNTRY BACK" from what? How about trying to fix it? Lord knows it's broken. Do right by each other or never expect change
preach.😆
words, I have no words. I love this man!
this song sucks
Ed Crunk you suck.
Sadly these lyrics are more relevant in 2016 than ever....
+Francisco Gomez true. Today's inequalities are relatively much smaller than half a century ago
It's not as much progress as we'd think.
New York is the most segregated school system in the US with blatant inequality, It was always like that and escaped the early days of integration because the legislation was specifically crafted to enable the northern school system to continue to be segregated.(The method is simple. neighbourhoods aren't integrated due to inequality so just maintain schools based upon local demographics) The southern states have within the last few years done a massive amount of backsliding on that front thanks to a random white parent undertaking a lawsuit over his daughter losing out on a spot because a black child got it instead.
There was some early progress but that took a massive dive when the war on drugs started since it was clearly the war on blacks. Instead It targets blacks in this war involving military ordinance used upon civilians to remove the drug problem when all statistical data shows that whites are more likely to sell and use drugs. The inequalities in prosecution are ridiculous too. All of this leads to the disenfranchisment of the black man. Then they make it to the prison industrial complex reminiscent of the chaingangs of old where they are made to work for the profit of these prisons. This has grown so massive that we exceed the amount of people in the russian gulags while the soviet union still existed.
Several years ago the FBI warned that the KKK and various hate groups were aiming to take control of leadership positions in law enforcement across the country. Nothing has been done since that warning and now it is a rarity to go a DAY without a (predominantly black) person killed at the hands of law enforcement. Children are now taught how to avoid being murdered at the hands of the police as a part of their curriculum. It is profoundly disturbing to me that we have "advanced" to the point that children have to be taught how to beg for their lives in school. I cannot understate just how messed up this is.
Thanks to the power of this information age the moment we see a great many things anew. We read the newsletters filled with hatred and bigotry disseminated among major police forces. For some strange reason the college elite of America tend to sing with joy and exuberance about the virtues of lynching n*****rs from trees when they don't realize people can see them. Psychological studies show that this most recent generation is just as racist in their worldviews as they were 60 years ago and merely have different excuses for why things are the way they are.
With all of this one might have to ask just what is different now? It's pretty simple. As long as you aren't caught saying an N word then everything and anything is perfectly fine. There were little concessions here and there but so long as you aren't openly racist you can get away with it.
And that's how we have a racist/sexist/bigoted in ten thousand different ways pedofile conman in a position where he could legitimately win the presidency of the United States.
Marc Mitchell
Well written.
Amen!

Made my day!!
Because your motto is still "In god we trust".
Loving anything "no matter what" is unhealthy. Unconditional love makes it hard to see where the problems are in any situation...
Matrica kida! Big up from Serbia!
this sound is great good shit keep em comin brother hell yaa!!
WOW! Amazing........thoughtful provocative music that stirs the soul and speaks to the injustice that runs in the veins of america. Like Malcolm X said "the truth is on the side of the oppressed". We all must work together to change the conditions of this world, alhumdilliah. Brother Ali much respect!
This is a conclusion I came to as a result of working in the system and realizing we can do more to change the system by the way we live verses trying to use force or psychological manipulation to change people. How do you change someone who does not want to or see the need to change? Brother Ali is an amazing artist with a powerful message. However, I believe the real revolution is that of the mind and conscious elevation. You cannot be a slave to the system if you live free in the mind.
This is why i don't settle for radio (lil wayne) bullshit.
there is still real music out there.
Hip hop hasn't died...its just underground
This is dope!
Oh my god man.... you made me hit rock bottom, im so upset!! why would you ever hurt a persons feelings that bad?? :( Im fragile!!! I have feelings too!!
