Been buyin' Brother Ali albums since 2004. He's such a legend and I can't believe I've been blessed with his music for over 20 years now.
I remember when he dropped this, I bumped it so hard with the windows down lololol. That whole album was great.
Saw Brother Ali live a few time in the early 2000s. Was always funny because the guy’s legally blind and would be bumping into stuff everywhere knocking over peoples water bottles lol

He's got a ton of good stuff. The Dangerous Three, with R.A. The Rugged Man, He did 5 Fingers of Death on Sway's show and killed it. Civil War with Immortal Technique, Killer Mike,and Chuck D, Own Light (What Hearts Are For), Sensitive, Forest Whitiker, Never Learn, Champion...it goes on and on with Ali.

Brother Ali is one of the best emcees to ever rock the mic. He's a really cool, humble guy too. Also, this song is paying homage to Nina Simone and her 1964 song "Mississippi Goddamn". As the video fades out you can see Brother Ali wearing a Nina Simone shirt.

Brother Ali is one of the best from the US, in my opinion. This whole album is FIRE. Had the pleasure of seeing him live here in London a few years back. I've also been told I look like him in the past lol.
