He’s the perfect example of the collusion between government and entertainment. Without that, most of y’all would have heard this song 14 years ago on every station
He really means it and there's soul in it, but he's a couple decades off on the message. Next he's gonna make a song about how it's such a big problem that horses are shitting in the streets when people ride them to work and how we need to find a better, more mechanically sophisticated way to get around.
Kobina Jamieson I mean, in one form or another. My analogy wasn’t absolutely perfect. But in any practical sense that warrants a song trying to sway society, it’s not happening. It’s all on more of a smaller scale that society as a whole can’t necessarily do more about.

Beware of Communism...
I learn more in a brotha ali song than i do at school
obviously
you didnt learn more from brotha ali, you learned the truth from him
As a retired United States Marine this is now my new memorial Day song! I believe I will use it for the Fourth of July as well!
Ase'
100% Honest.
No holding back
100% truth but he's holding back. He knows things that will get him killed.
Still listening in 2019 ✌🏻

This guy is RAW!
This just keeps getting more and more relevant.
Commenting just in case you forgot about making this comment 2 years ago
@Sideways G Same problems and no change. Right you are, my friend.
I concur. Just keeps going and going ...relevant before then, then, now .... And hopefully if we can finally and I mean finally stand our asses up and stop this greedy corrupt egotistical egomaniacal selfish divisive racist white superior complex oriented machine maybe one day this song won't be relevant and we can look back on it knowing it took a hell of a long time to finally get things straight and finally bring change for everybody for the betterment of all for the betterment of our brothers and sisters
I was just smoking a J and trying to figure out a song I couldn't remember from tony Hawks pro skater. After a quick internet search I found it was Atmosphere - trying to find a balance. And this was in the suggestions, I had never heard of brother Ali before today. Thanks weed :)
hahaha
tony hawk underground 2 is the one youre talking about my dude
Welcome to real hip hop
Atmosphere and Brother Ali are two of the most underrated hip hop artists today. Lyrically amazing. Every song they make has a story and/or meanigful message behind it. The beats are on point almost always as well.
its the sixth spliff
Happy fifteenth anniversary.
Still as relevant now as ever.
Damn, I just discovered this song a few days ago. 100% truth! This is Gospel!!
Brother Ali is the man. Listen to Picket Fence. Then check out Bambu, I saw him open for Ali a few years back.

Yo, sorry for not responding. Life got busy!
Thank You!
After the kiddos go to bed, I'll have a bit of self time, and I'll check it out 😁
I'll let you know what I think sir 😊
@@FrogToadBug
Yoooooo, good morning!
K, I checked those out! Brother Ali, in my opinion is a Guru; you can feel it in his words alone. Then I saw a newer video and Holy Crap, is is LITERALLY a Guru!
I am finally where he is in life now, and I wouldn't go back to my old life for the world 😊
Now, Bambu.
I didn't know which song to select, but I clicked on Welcome To The Party. Oh My Gosh! I honestly have no words. WooooW. K maybe one word! LoL
Thank You Sir 😊😊😊
Dont ever stop making music. We need more artists like you
That feeling when you hear a new artist for the first time and know immediately you've struck gold.

He’s the perfect example of the collusion between government and entertainment. Without that, most of y’all would have heard this song 14 years ago on every station
2.1k people Reeeeeeeeeeeeeee'd to the constant truth bombs in his lyrics
This has been one of my favourite tracks ever for years. Not even American. It just applies
Good shit. I know he's gotten a lot of heat for this track, but he just spills it with 100% integrity and sincerity; I love it.
He really means it and there's soul in it, but he's a couple decades off on the message. Next he's gonna make a song about how it's such a big problem that horses are shitting in the streets when people ride them to work and how we need to find a better, more mechanically sophisticated way to get around.
@@cadmiumandwilsin2993 everything he is saying is still happening in one form or another
Kobina Jamieson I mean, in one form or another. My analogy wasn’t absolutely perfect. But in any practical sense that warrants a song trying to sway society, it’s not happening. It’s all on more of a smaller scale that society as a whole can’t necessarily do more about.
@@cadmiumandwilsin2993 sounds about white
The flak is from the fact that this is truth! He's putting it on blast. Real deal saying it without giving any Fucks. 🤩😁
"Only approved questions get answered;
Now stand your ass up for that national anthem"
It's like he could see ten years into the future
Its August 2021 and it aint been fun..this message becomes more and more true still none of us know what to do 😭🤞💃
No, Some know what's up. ;)
Thats it boys. Anarchy for ever
I only heard of Brother Ali just a short while ago, my brother told me. This is the first song I've heard from him and my first thought was: wow! This person is a true poet, with the upmost integrity telling us about how he feels about the (I love this one) United Snakes. So Brother Ali, just letting you know: I'm gonna buy an album man, support this kind of music: smart, critical and true!
It's free speech at its best.
Dope music awesome good Cool hip-hop classic poetry

How is this song so chill and enraging at the same time?
More of this. Not less of this.
10 years later lyrics are just as powerful, truly amazing work.
14 years and this still impacts!!
