Kelly is the PERFECT example of someone who is a great vocalist AND a great singer because she adds her own flavour to everything she sings, whether it's her own song or a cover. And she does all of that with that flawless technique of hers 🤍🤍🤍

The girls who get it get it. Kelly Clarkson is a grade A vocalist and her voice has aged beautifully over time.
Kelly is a REAL vocalist. She SANGS. And she's absolutely right, her vocals now are much better than her younger vocals. Her belts a so clear and amazing. And some times she add rasp and still sounds great. She's a very underappreciated vocalist! And no shade at all when I say this BUT Kelly is what the world thinks Adele is.
She is appreciate for her fans, the most important ❤

You're spot on, she hasn't been underrated as a vocalist but definitely underappreciated (especially as an artist). For some reason, many great vocalists were pushed to the back burner in mainstream music.The major labels have been pushing music akin to fast food and in turn, now the masses don't have the patience nor appreciation for intricate and complex vocals & music (like they did in the early-mid 2000s, 90s and decades before).

Firstly, I don’t know if you’re Christian, but there’s a reason God favored Lucifer above the other angels: music (and probably vocals)! It is a supernatural force of its own that is meant to do good or bad things to what’s inside us.
The masses are indeed showing symptoms of music/vocal malnutrition (given your fast food analogy). An musically unhealthy lot. And the problem with disease, is that it progresses until it leads to death-I hope we’ve not reached death’s door yet.
The flesh always wants what’s mediocre and easy but the soul/spirit craves an almost spiritual filling which can only truly be delivered by great music/vocals, which is why you still see people moved when a great vocalist manages to sneak into mainstream music, snapping them out of disillusionment and inspiring them to go in search of that euphoric experience of being hit with great music and vocals (usually causing them to look in the archives, in the past, because there’s hardly any new great vocalist and the future’s bleak).
In conclusion, I nearly blame this pandemic of fast (food) music for the drop in the quality behavior displayed by the masses in recent years.
Very interesting and I believe accurate comparison. However I do feel that unfortunately for some reason Kelly is HIGHLY UNDERRATED!!!

I just started getting into Kelly at the beginning of this year, and I was truly amazed by her skill and talent.
I also hope you do more videos celebrating seasoned vocalists like her.
The fact that this compilation consisted mostly of her recent appearances says a lot.
Great video. I love me some KC. She has a distinct style that is all her own while being the most versatile singer on the planet.
She’ll sing a more traditional style in “Sisters”, more twang singing country, adds rasp and distortion when singing rock, adds tasteful vocal runs while sounding more grounded when singing soulful songs like her Aretha covers.
All of this because of her strong base of great technique, love for music and different genres, while being emotionally connected to the lyrics. She isn’t just singing the song just to sing it, she is singing it and feeling it. God I love her

Honestly? Her not being as vocally agile as some others doesn't bother me. Like you said, you can't have everything but when she does do some licks and run? They're smartly done AND smartly used, and that's makes them all the more exciting :) Like you said...she knows what she can do, but almost more importantly, what she CANT do. She's a belter and maybe doesn't do riffs/runs as easily as say Tori K, BUUTTT....While Tori has agility beyond belief, I wouldn't quite call her a belter, she's super RnB and like Kelly pulling out her runs once in a while, Tori pulls out her belt once in a while but is smart about it. And I adore them both and are huge inspirations of my own :)

@@doctorits ADELE? Xtina? No way. Adele’s greatest vocal ability is her emotiveness and tone. But that’s about it. Her technique has improved a bit but it was mediocre for most of her career but average now. Don’t wanna go into Xtina. She is one of the best for many reasons but she’s knocked her points down due to very poor technique and bad vocal habits but still a talented vocalist.
The best vocalist doesn’t exist. You hardly have one vocalist that has everything. Not even Dimash or Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey or Celine Dion or Aretha Franklin or Beyonce or Rachel Farrell etc have the full package.
BUT of all the vocalists in pop, Mariah Carey impressed me a lot. Whitney has impressed me as well. Aretha has impressed me. Celine has impressed me. Even Beyonce has impressed me. But the one person who has shocked me more than any other vocalist is Dimash.

I agree with everything you’ve said, except that Kelly doesn’t have enough vocal agility to do complex runs. She absolutely has vocal agility and can do runs. She just doesn’t rely on them heavily like other singers who can do them do. There are plenty of examples of her doing awesome runs over the years. Other than that, your opinion/analysis is very much accurate. She’s a top tier vocalist and definitely under-appreciated!

Just annoys me that nearly all your clips are from the KC show when there are so many other performances that illustrate her abilities too.
If anything that really shows how great of a singer she is. On her own show she is delivering countless admirable performances and mind you, they are covers (which one can easily botch) yet she delivers most of them very well.

Commercially she is not very successful. If you take into that voice. Her albums are not the mega blockbusters they should be. Except for her 2nd album.

Commercially not successful? She just literally released her 10th album. Dude she is 20 years in the business. Most of her peers and other artists back in 2002 are nowhere to be found right now. So please dont tell her that.
Actually at 25 million albums sold like 85million records she's been incredibly commercially successful. She has something like 116 Billboard number #1s (through their charts). A majority of her albums either went gold or platinum and that's when they were being updated which RCA pretty much all but refuses to do at this point.
