When she sings “like you did mine” it’s like a knife through the heart.
One of the (many) things I like about how Kelly sings is her enunciation. I can actually understand what she is singing about, which to me, is super important. If a piece of music has lyrics, you should be able to hear and feel them as much as the melody, harmony, instrumentation, etc.
@@Spo-Dee-O-Dee that’s not exactly the same thing. But if a singer is singing a song that is in Italian, French, etc, there is still an emphasis on diction. And those who are native speakers of that language are the judges of how well they understand the lyrics. Other than that, that’s the purpose of translations and subtitles!
Kelly out here reminding everyone how awesome she is. If her performance on the rest of the album is anything like "Mine" and "Me", I can't wait until it comes out.
This performance is stellar. The all black outift representing a funeral for the death of her relationship. THE VOCALS and then that damn camera stare during the bridge... WHEW! Flawless. I actually think she sounds better than on record!

People really need to look into the reference of eternal sunshine of a spotless mind.. it was a brilliant movie and really speaks on the issue of how someone can absolutely forget that they ever loved you....its brilliant that she used it
There are SO MANY people can relate to this song. She covered every aspect of what people feel when involved in an abusive person who is a fake and uses people. Cheaters. Ugh. This song and album has helped my daughter deal with the same type guy - 11 year relationship and she finally saw what every single person saw in him. So happy for Kelly😊

Kelly found out he was cheating. She has to give him 100, 000 for spousal support and 45,000 for child support. He will have them 1 weekend a month. He tried to get her Montana Ranch. He didn't get it. I Love Kelly. I've been watching her ever since American Idol.
Plus, he stole millions of dollars from Kelly while he was married to her.
Plus she had to pay him 1.4 million at the end of the divorce hearings. Now his dad is suing saying she verbally agreed to paying them both 15% of her gross earnings for the next 10 years of her career. Yeah right because a verbal agreement is what multi millionaires do for multi million dollar business 😂 like her lawyers would advise/allow that to happen 😅

I think he did the same thing to his first wife. He had two children with her.
If was him after this album I would never show my face again! I think one of the supports she gives Brandon drops off this year. He gets child support for nothing after cheating, after stealing millions from her personally off her songs. That is one reason she kicked up on working harder she had to support him. Kinda same reason Reba divorced Brandon’s dad he did same. Runs in that family I guess!
If I was Brandon..I'd go into hiding for awhile..he's taken a ton of her money with out any shame....he deserves to be put thru the mud...she's held this in way too long..I get it I was in an abusive marriage for 28 yrs....then some little thing finally clicks..and you're out....this is my new absolute favorite song!!!
