When many voices deteriorate over time, Kelly Clarkson's voice is just as strong as EVER! And she's even better vocally than she was 21 years ago.
This is only due to her excellent vocal technique! She knows her voice inside and out, and knows how to belt notes with very little strain on the vocal cords. It reminds me of Celine Dion, who also looked after her voice super well. Kelly is in her 40s, and I recall reading many times that singers are in their prime in their 40s, which totally lines up with both singers. Kelly is in her prime, take it in haha!
Would love to see more Kellyoke reaction/reviews! She absolutely kills it in so many of them and she isn't appreciated enough!

I think her being classically trained let her understand her voice and find it much faster than others. BUT...YOU NEED TO WATCH HER KELLYOKE COMPILATIONS BECAUSE IT"S TRULY UNFAIR. Her cover of Happier Than Ever by Billie Eilish is amazing, and her most recent duet with Teddy Swims singing Lose Control is burn it all down to the ground awesome.

@scpatl4now life long Freddie Mercury and Queen fan (my parents literally met at Live Aid). I would agree if we were talking Kelly 5 years ago.. but she now also has the classical music training nailed down more and knows how to compose pieces in a way that Freddie never had the chance to learn!
@@frankied.roosevelt62325 years ago, she went to college for classical voice performance. So she had her classical technical training all the way back to college. She definitely has matured and of course worked in her craft and probably has taken more voice lesson just to get her brain thinking about to those technical things maybe she forgot about. Overall, an icon and one of the best voices today.
@jacobmccain8794 she actually never went to college until more recently!! She got accepted but decided to drop everything and move to LA instead and thats when she had the idol chance! Shes been trying to expand her skills to the more classical side of things when she ended up developing vocal nodules several years ago more recently! Otherwise, she did even have vocal coaching or "professional" or private classical training pass that of what her high school choir teacher offered her! She explained such on the Dax Shepherd podcast back when her newest album dropped!

kelly was (if im not mistaken) classically trained and had been looking to be a pro singer before american idol, so it makes sense that she evolved faster as a singer

Kelly recently stated she would like to re-record some of her earlier hits because she is now not happy with the way she sounded. She feels her voice is better today and I totally agree! I saw her in Vegas last August and she was amazing! Please react to more of KC! Great reaction!!

I’m still moved to tears when I watch her piece by piece performance on American Idol. I swear pregnancy wrecked my voice and it’s never been the same since and yet she’s out there crushing it while pregnant and just, she deserves all the love

Her concerts are AMAZING. I was lucky enough to see her a few years ago and it was one of the best shows I have been to.
I just love her! She’s such a powerhouse and I can confirm she’s an absolute sweetheart. Around the time her second album came out she came into the bookstore I worked at with a few of her friends. It was about twenty minutes before closing, and not only did she buy everything her friends wanted so they wouldn’t take long, but then she offered to help us close. None of us took her up on it, but it was so sweet.

I was SO excited when I saw this pop up in my feed!!! Hannah + Kelly Clarkson = what a dream!
For the 2006 grammy performance the shakiness was probably more due to the emotion. She was singing a song she wrote at 16 and it had been her dream to perform at the grammys. She was also given a false caner diagnosis very close to the show so it was a roller coaster night.
Her best era vocally is probably now and 2012-2013. She gained a bit of depth early in her first pregnancy and despite terrible morning sickness sounded insane.
You should definitely react to more kellyoke if you can. There are so many good ones to choose from. My personal favourite is probably dream on.
Edit: I'm pretty sure she does not and has not smoked. I've never seen anything that says she has and I believe she herself has said she hasnt.

So happy to see a vocal coach's reaction to Kelly's evolution! My mom is a huge Kelly fan and has been to multiple concerts and to Kelly's show. I never really understood why my mom is so obsessed with Kelly until I learned Kelly's story and her hardships.
My mom relates to her on a deep level with her personal life, and singing songs helps both Kelly and my mom get through things, and I love that for them.

I have seen Kelly perform a few times and she was fabulous every time. I wonder if American Idol would have taken off if it had not been for Kelly being so great in season 1.

Kelly had such a perfect voice for the era of music she came into. Her sound was fairly unique for the 2000s, but the 2010s were all about a high belting with a ton of vibrato (think Ariana, Adele, Jessie J). I was a fan of hers in the early 2000s and i was a kid so i didnt know what exactly i liked so much about her voice, but I knew she had something special
omg you should totally react to Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande singing “Santa Can’t You Hear Me”. The high notes in that song are crazy good and I think you would love it!
Where did you get that she used to smoke from? She said on her show that she doesn’t smoke anything because she’s a singer and said it in an interview as well. 😅

I lost interest in American idol, and competitive singing in general, a long time ago but I’ll never forget the first season. It was the one show we watched together as a family and enjoyed every week

As a 90’s kid I will always praise Kelly Clarksom for the vocal genius she is. So many of us had her as our vocal icons. She sings with such versatility and strength. I love her voice and she’ll always go down in history to be Americas first ever American Idol

I feel sometimes that big singers feel they h ave to sing bit all of the time. She seems to have come to a part of her life where she truly takes her time to interpret and enjoy the journey of singing.
KC is my favorite female vocalist! She is definitely under-appreciated by the masses for the amount of talent that she possesses. She can sing so many different genres and sound incredible doing it! Her original music is great too! I find that I like her songs that are lesser known the most. You should definitely check out more of Kelly Clarkson’s recent Kellyokes & her original music! Her latest album, Chemistry, is great! There are live at the Belasco performances of a lot of the songs & she’s done some on her show, as well as other places. Her Meaning of Life album (the album before this latest one) Nashville Sessions live performance videos are great too!

I'm sure you don't need any more recommendations, but the disney+ folklore longpond studio session is a beautiful relaxing live album studio performance with mini song descriptions that I think you'd love! And someday I would love to see your reaction to her "reputation stadium tour" since you loved eras!!... and we also love Kelly for in part giving Taylor the idea to re-record her masters to own them. A true girl's girl who has always seemed so down to earth throughout her career!
Love Kelly Clarkson! To bad she doens't do concerts in Europe (I understand it with kids and her show but still). I read somewhere that her band learns all the songs in multiple keys so she can sing them in a certain key by how she feels that day. The fact that your band wants to do that says a lot I think.
I can imagine getting a gig in her band must be a dream job for a musician.

I would love to see more kellyoke reviews! they’re so good. Also, it would be really interesting to look at Kelly Clarkson‘s voice when she was pregnant versus when she was not gestating human life. I was watching a video, and her voice was amazing, and I thought about the limited access to breath that she had because of the human gestating in her body, and wondered how that affected either the sound or her ability to make that sound. Like how much harder it would be to make that same sound With that shift in your body.

Loved it! Please do more Kelly reactions! There're so many great Kelly performances to choose from! Great ideas on the comments already! Like some have said Kelly has never smoked. She was overworked during her career so there were points in the beginning years she had problems with her voice, but now she takes great care of it and her performance schedule is realistic. She also avoids talking before performances. I feel like she sounds even better nowadays. Have seen her live multiple times. Last time was last August in Vegas. She's the best live!

I'm still so bummed that I didn't get to see her in Tampa in 2015. She had to cancel the rest of her tour because of vocal chord injury, and they cancelled *right* before the concert I was supposed to go to. I completely understand, I was just bummed we didn't get to see her (and Pentatonix for that matter). I've loved her since Idol. And I love that now she does Kellyoke and also duets with other really great singers, and she lets them shine when she could easily overtake them. She's just a class act with an amazing gift.
I just love when she sings with other musicians. For example when she is singing with Pink and her harmonies. Oh it makes me so happy😊

Kellyoke is the most generous gift to all of us who love outstanding vocal performances in general and Kelly specifically. I kinda can’t believe we get to hear her just smash out glorious performance after glorious performance all week long. I want to kiss whomever gave her a show and thank GOD she went for it. I don’t know how it is that so many of us can feel like she’s still underrated when I think the whole industry is kinda in awe of her, but it feels like she doesn’t get ENOUGH flowers for her talent. She’s so amazing. I would say she is one of the best people you can show of a vocal evolution that has only progressed so much throughout the years. While she was good before, she is technically so much more in control of her voice, now, and has created such a clean slate, everyone sleeping on Kelly Clarkson’s covers
I have seen Kelly in concert, twice, and she's not only a vocal beast, but also incredibly funny.

Kelly’s been a massive influence and inspiration for me personally, and yeah as singers we need to pace ourselves and know when to make vocal choices when performing.
But oh my, I LOVED her performance of Vampire, it was so dynamic and she sounded so brilliant.

I’m not quite sure where you heard that she smoked but she does not, nor ever has, smoked a day in her life. Just so you know-she’s too smart for that!
On another note, if you could analyze/react to some of her Kellyokes I think you’d enjoy it as much as we would. Also she did a killer duet with Teddy Swims live on her show that went viral…she’s said in interviews that she always wanted to be a background singer and it shows on duets. She’s very generous about giving the other singer the limelight.

I know its an animated show, which isn't usually your thing but I really think that you will be impressed with what you hear. The all-star voice cast is amazing and they really put everything that they have into there performances. The cast includes but is not limited to: Erika Henningsen, Stephanie Beatriz, Alex Brightman, Keith David, Kimiko Glenn, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Jeremy Jordan and the list goes on.
