Ok here's an interesting story to tell you, Kyle. The President of SVS is a guy named Gary Yacoubian, who I used to work for at a hi-fi shop in Washington DC. We carried Canton speakers, and I know Gary loved how they sounded. He may have even owned a pair or two. This was back like 15 years ago. At that time SVS was just a small player in the market, when Gary took it over, he was the one that made them a powerhouse.
U could get Dayton 18 inch ultimax drivers and make a porter box tuned to 19 or 20hz and make 2 of them. Each 18 inch driver in a well made box would probably compare to the pb 16 ultra. and get a crown amp to run with each one. 🤔
Good for you that you are continually upgrading. I went from dual PB-3000 & dual SB-3000’s to dual SB16’s & dual SB-4000’s in my 7.4 Klipsch System. Had the system professionally calibrated with REW / minidsp 2X4 HD and the difference of all four subwoofers working in unison is incredible. Look forward to seeing what you have selected.
@@TheDoozie43 - I liked the PB-3000’s but they did not come in piano black, had a bigger footprint and not aesthetically pleasing. The SB16’s have a smaller footprint and come in piano black. They also play down to 16Hz.
I agree, properly integrated subs can sound significantly better than nicer subs that are setup with just however the room correction decides to do it. I have dual HSU VTF2-MK5s and before messing with it I had them positioned with the exact same null at both and a huge dip at the crossover due to audyssey not properly integrating them with my mains and fixing those both and using my PEQs is a far greater difference in SQ than almost any sub upgrade could provide.
Oh, I know! JL Audio is up next!!! Always been curious about their home audio stuff, used to use their car subs in the 90s. Now it’s a sundown 4K amp on American Bass HD 12s (soon to be sundown X 12s). Keep up the good work man!
I actually switched from pb4000s to pb3000s and the difference is negligible. Other than being able to move the 3000s anyways lol. Love them. They’ve got a real gem in the 3000 line.
You got a way to to go before you get to your end game when it comes to Audio equipment ...once you get the bug in this hobby always looking for that next hit...its like owning a boat ...its called foot fever...you have a 21ft boat this year ...and next year comes along and you want a 25ft boat...so on and so on ! Have fun and protect your hearing now ...because when you get older you might not be able hear as good as when you were younger...and the its no fun anymore...so then you light up another one and your hearing comes back! lol
REL 1508 Predators would be a good replacement, but if it's musical finesse you're craving, without losing extension and output and is affordable for a set of two, look no further than Rythmik.
Did you experiment with using them in sealed mode for music? I have an older PB-13 ultra and in my room found that running it in sealed helped clear the base up with rock/jazz.
Hey Kpace, maybe consider sticking with SVS and getting the SB 16 ultra really good for both music and home theater. But I’m sure whatever you do get will sound awesome!!
@@guttaone I don't message anyone. They get announced in CZcams videos and on the community tab. So it's really random. It just happens out of no where
I want to say your going Rythmik but all their nice subs that I think would interest you like f18 are out of stock so it must be REL because I doubt you could go without a sub for that long.
@@Kpaceguy it’s the must for any sub even single subs. How on earth were dual pb3000s not enough? I’ve got a couple and they fill my 25’ x 25’ room plenty. Misalign pictures three rooms over even lol.

Are there any pros to the pb4000 vs the pb3000?
Or..... besides being smaller, lighter and cheaper are there any benefits to the 3000 line?

Beautifully designed subwoofer!
Way too expensive lol and I need Two

Nothing svs

Just wondering how you are able to use such powerful subs in an appartment? How do you control the sound transmission?
Simply can't turn it up too loud at certain times of the day. Just have to be respectful. I can turn it loud enough that it's not a waste to have
You're going Paradigm
I predict some JTRs
The answer is already up on the channel
I think I know what you are getting if for music and movies. Either Rythmik, Rel or Funk Audio
Not a bad guess

You should buy some JTR speakers subs...
What are you getting JL audio or JTR
those aren't for music
Bro .. You obviously have never heard Rythmiks.
What sub did you have in your setup before the PB4000?

Yes
