Im working with ARDMS (American Registry of Ultrasound medicine to tell you the importance of sonographers on a health care team and the impact you can have on a patient's medical journey!

I just started watching your videos and I love them! I’ve been interested in wanting to become an RDMS. However I’m struggling to know where to start. I already have a BS degree for another field unrelated to medical field. And I’m confused because I don’t know what I need to do to get into a DMS program. I know there’s requirements by the university depending where I would like to go (aka accredited college). But if I need some requirements do I need to take an associates degree in something more general in the medical field BEFORE applying to the DMS program? How does it work?

Working on my prerequisites right now and your story really inspired me.. hopefully I will get in the Fall. I know it will be hard work for those two years but It will be worth it because its something I really want to do. Keep the vids coming you are getting better and better!

Do you think I could start my pre requisites online and then apply for a program? or do I have to take my prerequisites at the same school as the program? Ill be moving in a year and don't want to start at school here and then have to transfer but I also don't want to waste my year just waiting
You can take your prerequisites anywhere as long as it can properly be transferred! Be sure to ask before you start. Most prerequisites that need a lab based as well like biology or anatomy and physiology will need to be in person. But I’m sure you can do online for others!!

I’m thinking about changing my major from dental hygiene to diagnostic medical sonography. My school and local school don’t offer the program, could I major in radiography?
radiography would be more for rad tech. sonography is its own imaging modality!!

Hey I’m interested in The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program I live I. South catch and school near by me have the program and it’s accredited by CAAHEP Like you said the make sure of I was browsing the school website for more information about the program and they have an requirement of taking Test of Essential Academic Skills (ATI TEAS® Did you have to take that also ????????????
