Happy New Year! Glad too hear you had a good year. One thing 2020 should have taught all of us is that our health is our wealth and happiness comes from the People, Places, and Pocketknives we have in our lives. Lol

Love these gear videos, man. That snowpeak mug is awesome. I’ll need to get one for backpacking!

I agree, value equals personal contentment, the price is justified when you are comfortable with knowing you did the research and got the best you could afford. I'm a commercial construction superintendent worked in construction all my life and have been criticized for how much I pay for my tools, but it's short lived when they have bought two or three of the same thing I only had to buy one of. The best is always less expensive in the long run, and contentment Is an illusive commodity.

Exactly. I could enter any tool in my trailer in to a “blank” and there will be a guy on a job site that thinks I’m crazy to buy it. I’ve only met one single GC who also buys the best they can find. The easiest “tell” for me is their levels. If someone shows up to a job site with anything other than a Stabila they’re basically hopeless. They will never know what it feels like to give a shit.

@@iAMboognish Stabila is the only level I've used for years, of course I entered into construction before lazers were a consideration, we used water levels at that time, no calibration to worry about with those, just make sure no bubbles are in it and they never lie. My comments will be from another generation, my daughter is your age so you'll have a wore out old construction worker to contend with, hope that's ok.

@@tankcrowe5417 You know its theorized that the Giza pyramids may have been leveled with water in intestines as a water level! But I prefer the super advanced ancient civilation theories. :)

@@iAMboognish maybe.... careful with architectural information, construction workers have been known to be full of shit dating back to the prehistoric era. 😁

I’d watch a belated end-of-21 start-of-22 Gear-End Review if the spirit moves you Arch.
Where are you at with your CRK collection? Did adding a Haptic and Neon Zero reverse your stance on bearings? Has a year of making your own products changed (or confirmed) any of your thoughts on gear you buy?
Would enjoy seeing a snapshot. For the good of the land.

Lol. Was that military post that inspired you, the convo between you, me and Saratogasledge? Lol

If you play with the settings on your GoPro, and set it to the flat setting it will get rid of the GoPro fish-eye effect that happens around the edge of screen (may cap you at a lower resolution, but its worth it IMO) . Also, try to get the FPS as high as you can to make the video as smooth as possible. Happy New Year!

Glad you brought up all the points on the Sebenzas. My hands are in/out of my pockets all the time and I really notice the corners on the Sebenza along my pinky finger (right hand carry) very much. I much prefer the feel of the Inkosi in the pocket. That slightly more rounded off corner profile makes a big difference. I may end up putting one on the grinder to take the corners off as it bugs me that much. Oh no!!

If you ever try the Umnumzaan again, the Wilson Combat is the way to go, IMO. I'm pretty tempted!
