I’m still sticking with my pre-Idaho stamp large Sebenza 21 but like the new improvements on the 31 such as the ceramic ball detent but I already own an Inkosi and Zaan. Holding out for the S45VN.
Do you like the double lugs more or less than the single lug? I think I'd prefer the utility of the ambidextrous lug as well as for sharpening purposes (having the same stop point on both sides when on the edge pro). But the single lug has a nice blade profile.
I first check the 4-5 dealers I can think of right off the top of my head. Then I refer to the Dealer list on the CRK Website. I'll look on every one with a site listed for the specific item I'm looking for. If I'm still out of luck I will then call the rest of the dealers to inquire. Lastly, I will fill out the "notify me when back in stock" option on all dealers that offer the service. That covers the bases pretty well. I'm also lucky enough to have a nearby dealer, Castle Gate Knives, in Sedalia, CO.
@@iAMboognish I mostly just want s45vn because it will be the latest and greatest but it would be interesting to hear from someone more educated about the metal than myself
I have picked up two more Sebenza 31’s last week. FYI-my new Small Sebenza 31 Blk Micarta Inlay with double lug just arrived a couple days ago in S45VN. I know you are a huge S35VN fan, so I figured you may want to know. FYI-I did pick up another Small Sebenza 31 Black Micarta Inlays with the S35VN blade, brand new in box. Long story, but sending it back, as it was bought by mistake; I only wanted the double lug. If you have any interest in it, I wanted to offer it out to you? If not, no worries, as I can return it for a full refund. I just talked to Chris Reeve Knives this morning, and I guess they are discontinuing the S35VN steel for all Sebenzas moving forward. Always love seeing a new crisp Sebenza. That matte finish is so clean, and then that worn look later just adds character.
Just picked up a plain jane 31 myself. Great knife, perfect user. Thanks for the vid.
Hi ARCHMAN!
I am a big fan of your videos! I have been collecting knives for awhile, but new to Chris Reeve knives. My first is a Large Sebenza 31.
Just bought my first Sebenza. Thanks for all the chill/great reviews Archman! Congrats on the move and Nice Guy Tool Co.
Hell yeah! Thank you for the well wishes Daniel! Back at you bro! 👊
Nice one man ! I'm waiting for the insingo blade to get a 31 - they should arrive next year apparently !

Only gripe I have with CRK's is the pointy thumb studs.
Nov 11, rememberance day in Canada :)
Hope they keep a S35 option, just seems right to have the blade steel developed by the same man that paired it to the knife he designed.
He helped develop S45VN also
@@ajacks8007 do you have any proof of that
Jack Man 13 just google it.

Pistol and a knife both have different purposes. It just depends on your preference.
Considering my first Chris Reeve knife. What do your recommend? And where do you purchase yours? Thanks

I'm a 21 kinda guy but I would like to have a 31 at some point, my next CRK will be the s45vn Inkosi
I have a knife maker friend who’s making both S35VN & S45VN blades right now. I’ll be interested to see why he thinks.

I appreciate that! But I’m saving up for Blade!
@@iAMboognish Cool, I wish I could go, but this isn’t the year. Keep the videos coming, I like your view on knives as a user.
11 11 great day
Still no white cabinets
Ending comment is “Don’t let your meat loaf”. (?)
No such thing as too much REEVE!
No play or flex?
This one is the 4th 31 I’ve added and it’s the tightest so far!
too long. 5 mins is enough.
