The one thing that annoyed me (and it always happens in giant monster movies):
"Hey Bill, can these helicopters fly more than 200 ft up?"
"Yeah, why?"
"No reason. COMMENCE ATTACK AT MONKEY HEIGHT!"

Actually, they didn't know about Kong. They had to drop bombs to "map the island" (but John Goodman's reason was to kill something).
Dude they literally fly in a straight line right towards him in this very trailer
take into credit this takes place in the 1970's helicopters then had fairly low flight ceilings (compared to today) on top of all the people/ equipment they were carrying
invalid for this argument; UH1's had a ceiling of 19k ft. Should more be focused on aeronautical decision making of the crew rather than capabilities of the aircraft itself, which was more than capable of avoiding the obstruction... and then obviously the guys at the rear of the formation would have a better chance of reacting because of distance.
yeah even with a full load of fuel weapons, personal and extra's the Huey's should still easily get out of arm distance of kong. Although given that the trailer shows he knows how to do tools ranged weaponery on his part is very possible to tag the choppers

Can we take a moment to acknowledge how well-edited this trailer is? The lost art of trailer-cutting is making a comeback.
Not only that, but well color-graded scenes, and advanced cinematography is making a come-back in movies. For a while many movies had concrete colors, and any action scenes were made to look more 'realistic' with camera shaking and blur, the scenes in this movie look fantastic. The same goes for movie trailers like Alient: Covenant and Guardians of The Galaxy! :D

It's 2020 and I still keep coming back here because it's the most well done trailer I've ever seen.
Some films are only meant to be seen and experienced on the big screen for it's grand scale. Kong: Skull Island is one such film. Director takes no time in setting up the plot and showing us the full look of the main character Kong, the king of the jungle. I don't know how many of you have seen King Kong (2005) but compared to that Kong size, this Kong is HUGE. It's as huge as some of the tallest towers on the planet.
Kong: Skull Island has a big production budget of $185 million. From helicopters soaring over landscapes to scenes of soldiers moving through jungles and fighting monster creature, everything looks stunning. It has a interesting plot, incredible cinematography, beautiful color palette, crisp editing, great action set pieces, ground breaking special effects, nice 3D effects and background score. Film has a strong cast with the likes of Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson and they act pretty well. One of the reasons why this film is such a fun ride is because of the frequent monster appearances and the slow motion shots during the action sequences. Some of the slow motion shots are the coolest I have seen in a mainstream cinema.
Best Scenes:
*Helicopters vs Kong - The whole action sequence in the first half hour of the film is my personal favorite from the film.
*Humans vs Giant Lizards, Giant Spider - There are many scenes of intense action between the humans and the giant creatures that inhabit the island.
*Kong vs Giant Lizards - The most paisa vasool action sequence you can expect in a monster movie.
My Rating: 4*/5* - A Stylish Monster Blockbuster!
I had good expectations from the film as I liked the trailer very much, but what come to me as a surprise is that the film is even way more epic than what I expected it to be. It's fast-paced, intense at times, immensely action-packed, very much entertaining and edge of the seat CGI monster fest that one shouldn't miss at any cost. WATCH IT ON THE BIGGEST SCREEN POSSIBLE.

Well sorry, but from what I've heard, most of the characters are bland and generic as fuck (They have one character trait and that's i) and the action is the only enjoyable part of the film. This movie was trying to hard to a Marvel movie. It even has an end credit scene, just like an MCU movie. Just see the action scenes when they hit CZcams, when the film comes to Digital download in June or something.
