I think the main reason why the Kongs on Skull Island were smaller than the Kongs in the Hollow Earth is because they weren’t exposed to the unique life giving radiation of the Hollow Earth. But the size of their environment and how much resources available to them were also very significant.

It’s a similar reason as to why Godzilla (and his dorsal plates) get bigger and more ridged over time and due to his exposure to the Hollow Earth’s energy
@@k7l3rworkman97 No, I think the reason Godzilla’s dorsal plates are different now is because he had to grow them back after they were shattered by MUTO Prime. Also, Godzilla is always being exposed to Hollow Earth radiation since he regularly swims through the Hollow Earth.

Also, Skull Island look mad small for Kong and i think his size adapted to it, as if he got too big, he wouldn't be able to hide or to feed. Now in hollow earth, he look small compared to his environnement

I feel like if the radiation energy in Hollow Earth *doesn’t* make him grow taller, it’ll at the very least make him stronger. And possibly bulkier or faster. At the very least Kong would have gone through some sort of muscular gains.

The Holo Earth also has monsters that are challenging to Kong as opposed to skull island having almost no creatures as big as kong.
I bet in the next Godzilla and Kong movie, Godzilla will be able to completely get to the earths core with his atomic breath, and Kong will be able to create earthquakes and shockwaves with his bare hands.

There is a third factor showing that Kong has reached its maximum size. This is the hand at the entrance to the Kong shrine. It's exactly the same size as Kong's paw

I was hella confused about this regarding the mini Kong in the new GxK. I been looking for answers all over, yet here is this channel uploading a video with an answer way before the film was even out. Props to ya!
If what we saw from the Godzilla x Kong trailer is any indication, then I can see this Kong growing, maybe not by a lot, but still a bit. The Orangukong’s amped up on the energy coming from the Hollow Earth, so it stands to reason our Kong would change, too; that Hollow Earth energy still has a lot to show us.
I think kong will grow bigger as well get new abilities if he lives in the hollow earth. Since the hollow earth is full of energy it makes sense that he would grow. I think that legendary is gonna take a spin off of the og King Kong vs Godzilla and give Kong electrical powers like he did in 1962 film.
I hope he does get those powers back

I definitely feel that Kong could not just grow larger, but also stronger because considering how one of the producers stated that Kong's growth rate is comparable to a goldfish that can grow larger to adapt to its environment. In addition to how the ancient Kong who beat Godzilla supposedly came from the Hollow Earth and grew to its Titanic size because of the radiation in the Hollow Earth that could have made him stronger than the modern Kong in 2024.
I agree ad I also think think kongs powers are gonna grow I googled it said Kong can absorb electricity and Release it out of his hands that is how his battle axe is being powered so THEY NEED TO EXPAND ON THAT There's SO MUCH THEY CAN DO WITH THAT
I personally think Kong will grow but not to the same degree as last time. He probably will gain an increase in overall physical capabilities and/or fighting skills. Unless Gman gets bigger, anything beyond that would look ridiculous. I also feel like it's possible that he may gain access to some sort of abilities due to hollow earth energy exposure, but I feel like it may come in the form of a sort of healing factor or maybe even his ability to take damage greatly improving. Personally, I'd like to see a physically stronger, slightly taller/bulkier Kong that can tank a little more damage. This would mesh well with his brawler style of fighting.

I'm so glad this question was answered. If Kong from Kong: Skull Island was an adolescent or teenager, he should've been somewhere close to an adult Kong from either Skull Island or Hollow Earth.
5:30 also, in GvK, Kong opens the door in hallow earth by pushing the hand print on the door which matched the exact same size assuming the Kongs that built that temple were full grown. Also when he sits on the thrown, his body fits perfectly. If he were undersized, his feet would have hung above the ground and he wouldn't have exactly fit very well. ✅️
My favorite Kong by far is that lizard one that breathes fire-y radiation beams and lives underwater, I think his name was the "Kong of the monsters" or something like that

It is most likely that Kong will continue to grow. As N-Tree said, the Hollow Earth Kongs were exposed to the Hollow Earth radiation. At the end of the movie, Monarch set up an Hollow Earth Kong Monitory Station. Which indicates Kong would stay there from there forward. So he would be able to catch up with the Hollow Earth Kong size.
I think Goji Center turned me into a Godzilla and Kong fan.
I feel like kong might grow a few more feet but not a lot. I also feel like depending on how long he’s been in the hollow earth he might gain some type of new ability

Well, there maybe a slight chance of Kong growing again because in the Hollow Earth there were monsters such as Warbats they may give Kong lots of stress so he may not be able to grow that much.
He probably won’t get much bigger in height, but he’d probably grow in muscle mass

I remember hearing from dangerville that one of the reasons why Kong also got so big is the fact that he had so much access to so much more protein which allowed him to just bulk up and have the shoulders of a titan lime backer and since like you said there's a difference form of energy that would also apply to the other creatures like the war bats but also the food there too so I think it's very possible he can get bigger
He will probably get smarter since he is interacting with the scientist there. I think they will either find or clone a companion/child for him.

An interesting topic to cover would be how sentient are the monsterverse titans? I think we can safely say that King Kong, Godzilla, and King Ghidorah are DEFINITELY sentient where as monsters like Skull Crawlers and Warbats act more base off instincts.

I think Kong will change in growth, same as Godzilla. But I think the main factor that would determine how much the growth will be is based on how much exactly, the hollow earth energy will effect Kong. We know Godzilla could also grow bigger from the ancient Godzilla species that was found in the Hollow Earth that are not extinct (Minus Doug, I hope they make him an active character in the next film, that would be dope to see) It is possible for Godzilla to grow, so it might be possible for Kong to grow as well. Now as for the next main villain Titan that is gonna be in the next film. It would not be Destoroyah, might be in a future film, but not this one (Though they might hint at it in the post credits) and I doubt that it would be Gigan, being a cyborg titan that would most likely an alien invasion, and that would be too much honestly. It wouldn't be Biollante, seeing how she is a Chimera of D.N.A. from a plant and Godzilla cells (which could only happen through human actions so wouldn't make sense, though could be a thing in the Monster verse tv series. So my best guess at what the next Villain Titan is, would be Space Godzilla. There is already evidence of it existing in the Monster Verse and there was never any sighs of its defeat from the looks of it, it just...pissed off into space. So with that in mind, I highly believe that the next Titan Villain will be Space Godzilla.

Remember the scene in Skull Island where you could see Kong on the horizon behind the choppers, showing just how big he was. Now imagine that being the Origins Kong.
The only thing for them to fight and make sense is some large version of the destoroyah. It was huge in the 1995 movie and was literally able to drag burning godzilla. Also, because of the actions in godzilla king of the monsters movie, it would make all the sense in the world since they used a version of the oxygen destroyer bomb.

I think that like on the back 1890 ishes years on one of the first Godzilla vs Kong movies Kong has the ability to generate electricity through his fur and he used that to electrify and stun Godzilla.
Personally I think it's probably a mix of indeterminate growth and mammalian style growth spurts because while I don't have the source it is mentioned somewhere that Kong will be bigger in the next movie which suggests that Kong might just continue growing until some sort of limiting factor takes place
However given that Kong's true strength of the species is numbers and intelligence and not much else is more so possible that the Kongs are meant to grow really fast till they reach a certain size and age and then their growth slows down as that at that point it's less about their size and more about their intelligence and numbers.
Oh well come will continue to grow it's going to be at a much slower Pace likely speaking until of course something stops him after all like mentioned it's his two main superpowers that come with this species that made them such a threat to the grocery in the first place if it was just their size then all Godzilla would have to do to defeat them is blast a hole through their chest with a atomic breath by at least 20 or so other members of his species in order to take on threats like Godzilla which again was probably why they were so dangerous in the first place

It’s kinda difficult to say since I like the idea of “there’s always a bigger fish” but then again we saw how mechagodzilla was the same height and a big threat so if they go with a larger opponent kaiju then maybe both of them will grow but if it’s a kaiju that their abilities make them the bigger threat then possibly not

@Cairo ehhh, camazotz is like C tier on the overall scale of kaiju power, not even close to being a threat to both godzilla AND kong. Biollante I feel was built for this sort of match. With a bunch of limbs to keep several kaiju busy plus enough power to back it up. Only problem is actually incorporating her into the monsterverse which can be easily done by changing her origin, legendary did it already for king ghidorah no reason to hold back for bio

The Skull Island Kongs are very reminiscent of Homo Floresiensis, a species of humans found on a single Island in South East Asia. Known as the Hobbits, these humanoids grew to a max of 3'6". Now that Kong is in the hollow earth? I can see him topping out around 400 ft. Maybe just a bit taller than Godzilla, but not as massive. I'm still hoping we see an ancestor of the ancient Kong that beat Gman. And Kong is forced to choose between his family, and his ally.
I believe that Kong will remain the same size, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility that he could grow at least a little bit more. Godzilla went from 355 feet in height in 2014 to 393 feet in 2019. Mark Russell stated in Godzilla: KOTM that Godzilla was always changing, always adapting and that it was incredible. Time will tell, I suppose.
I think they are evolving from their fights. Godzilla is ancient and it wouldn't make sense for him to grow so much in a short period unless it had something to do with confronting other monsters. When they're comfortable and not fighting their growth seems to slow down

Kongs hand was already bigger than the paint in hollow earth. I feel like he will get stronger because he was depressed on his island for years so the new environment will help him, the next thing I'd expect is kong to grow a bit due to the testosterone.

This won’t follow the proposed storyline for Godzilla and Kong, but I wonder: if Kong did continue to grow, would Godzilla view him as a threat, despite the end of G v K, since he no longer has the height advantage? In other words, Godzilla would no longer be the “biggest” Titan around anymore.

I'd prefer if Godzilla and Kong stay the same as in the last movie. It works better to change a character's appearance slightly in this shared universe movies as opposed to drastically. It's much easier to change, for instance, Iron Man's current armor rather than recasting him.

Also islands can make certain species smaller or larger depending of they are prey or predator due to resources, that could explain the island kongs being smaller due to resources being scarce

I assume Kong will stay relatively close to Godzilla’s height, but maybe a bit bulkier? The two barely made it out against Mecha G with their lives, so Kong might likely beef up a bit.

two other things what could take into King Kong's size,
1) Earth was originally one big landmass, maybe when skull Island broke Free from the landmass, the species of Kong didn't have enough genetic material to grow any higher than what come is seen in 2 movie
2) what drove Hollow Earth Kong's out onto skull Island
3) what kill all but king Kong

when kong first goes in the cave and grabs the axe you can also see theirs a carving of godzilla with many more scales previous kongs have collected. you can also so other handles and it seems like other weapons. this could mean so many things. the kongs have used the scaled weapons first a specific enemy, there could be other weapons made from other material, also the new red kong could be the crafter as the more smarter kong.
If Kong does get bigger it will probably be by only a little. I could see him maxing out at about 350 feet which would make him as tall Godzilla 2014. If he does grow, Godzilla should also get a little bigger to keep things even. 400-410 feet would be a good height.

I don't think Godzilla should get any bigger than he already is. He's already confirmed to be the biggest and strongest Godzilla in his species history since he got a massive power up from the nuke and from mothra. Godzilla is already very powerful and making him bigger or more powerful will be completely unnecessary. Kong getting stronger is necessary since he's not nearly as strong or experienced as most other Kongs. 350 ft is a good height for Kong but Godzilla will still be 40 ft bigger than Kong. Sizing up Godzilla will make things uneven.

Skull Island Kong and Hollow Earth Kong specimens could’ve been different sub species or S. Island Kongs could’ve been an example of island dwarfism.
In GxK, Kong is the same size as Godzilla, which means that he was constantly growing, especially in the Hollow Earth
