Thank you very much for posting this simple and easy to follow video. If I had any recommendations for others, it would be to watch the video all the way through once, and then fix your Tello while following the video.
Hey. I am new to the channel and the Tello Drone. I am also from New Jersy. I live up Noorth. Look forward to seeing more videos. Thanks for the content.
Word of advice for the novice or really anyone is don't ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, remove the cable to the camera! This is more than delicate and this was skipped over fairly quickly in this tutorial. I tried to reinstall the wires to the camera as I am sure many others did too, and damaged the ribbon. Now I have a sorry drone with no camera. Other tutorials don't touch the camera and are much better to follow.
Hi, I see that they sell M1 , M2, ... motors for the Tello. Are the 4 motors different from eachother? Does it matter? How can you see wich one you need? Thanks!
There were clips (male, I think) on the replacement motors but not on the tello, so you cut the clips off. What if I wanted to place female clips on the tello to connect the new motor to, so I didn't have to mess with soldering. Would that be possible? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
I've got a Tello. Occasionally the right front motor doesn't always start spinning during take off. Is this a sign of motor failure or an electronics issue?
Hey I have a question anyway you can help? I changed the motor exactly how you did it. Except now when I insert the battery the motor I changed which is the rear right one starts to spin now soon as I insert the battery I have no idea why. Then I turn it on and connect and try to take off all other 3 motors spin but doesn’t fly. Just flops over to the side and props on correct. Camera works apps seems to work good no lag getting a code 29 which means motor error but not sure what is it. Confusing power must be going to only that motor when’s it’s off only but how if I didn’t mess with anything else helps plz
Is it possible you put the incorrect motor in? Just like how the props need to be installed in the right side, there are motors for each side as well. I'm new to this but that's the only theory I've got. Hope you found a solution!
Hi, too much hazzle, too much risk of damaging something. Just cut the old wire midway and cut/solder the new ones accordingly and use some heatshrink/tape. Regards

You did a great job 😊😁😁
I just save myself the work and cut off the cable, then solder the new ones on.

What size solder did you use?

Perfect 🤘🤘✌️✌️✌️
Why not just cut the wires half way down each leg, splice in the replacement motor wires and stay out of the body?
Thankyou for this suggestion
Seriously, this seemed insane..

Anybody tried replace with more powerful motors using this motherboard?
Nice Vid! I think if a motor went bad, I'd just throw mine away and get a new one. ;-)
You know what I would have done the same thing but the motor is around 7 euro /dallars so you might as well give it a go

you may want to calibrate your IMU should solve that issue.

Parrot mambo much easier, just plug and play and just as good as tello, and you get a bluetooth controller.
Is it programmable...like Tello ?
Do you have the motor for sale ?
