I had a smile on my face the whole way through. Just glad Mel Brooks let Cloris Leachman finish off her story and her line reading. My favourite line in one of my favourite films. "Stay close to the candles... the staircase- *can* be treacherous."

I simply loved every single line and scene in the movie. I know it by heart. I think Teri is the only cast member still alive. Wow, God and the angels are have a grand time.

I get the impression that Cloris could make a mint booking herself in venues where she stands in dead silence for a few minutes. utters a line from Young Frankensteim... stands a few more minutes. Another random line... etc. She's still got it. Perfect timing, perfect delivery, just SNAP, on demand. 'Would you like a Brandy?' 5 minute pause. 'Warm milk?' 5 minute pause 'ovaltine?' lol
Cloris is a brilliant comedienne, with great delivery and facial expressions. A master of subtle comedy, and a great foil to the more slapstick/vaudeville/Catskills humor Mel brought.
She never cared about her looks in films. The uglier the better.
Can never hear a horse whinny without thinking of Cloris.
It does my heart good to see this. Glad to see Teri Garr at a public event. Mel Brooks and Cloris Leachman had us all laughing here in Brooklyn as well.

Cloris had won a well deserved Oscar before. Wonderful, evocative , professional actress with bawls
who would really give it to a scene. Mel knew that. Please , PLEASE look at her work starting in the 50's .

What a career, early on Lassie house Mom, later a cradle robbing seductress in Last Picture Show and then a steady job with Mel Brooks and company where she crushed every role in every way, always real class with no pretension. 👍💪❤️🙏
