    I absolutely love this rig, I agree with you on everything that was talked about.
    Sounds like you have found a great setup that works for you. Can’t wait to see more videos!

    Nice skid and accessories. I prefer a truck body not made of aluminum, but it works for lots of guys. Keep up the videos, and best of luck to you going forward!

    Dude I've been subscribed for a couple years watching vids every now and then. I do pipeline/ oil &gas work mostly some mobile stuff so this setup isn't for exactly for me but man is this a slick unit.

    Very nice rig....only thing I would've done differently is I would have back up alarm facing down at the ground....no dirt get in and sound bounces off ground making it heard better

    Why not try to see if you could find someone to 3D print a plastic cover for the aluminum spool gun?? I’m thinking it might be a better option just reduce the risk, if any, of an arch out. 🤷🏻‍♂️ idk just thinking in text. 😊 I’ve never used that style so I don’t know if it’s possible to bird cage in that spot.

    Nice truck it has everything I'd want on my F250 except the welder I already got my Lincoln 10000 plus my air compressor is plug in but its real handy a little C&H 13 gallon I got a speedaire 20 gallon as soon as I can get a pump it will take up residence on my truck

    Not a bad rig. I wonder why you didnt go with a 2500 or bigger even if you wanted to stay in a gasser vs diesel.

    • @George88889
      @George88889 Před 6 měsíci

      The new diesels these days , are really ment for specific purposes. The days of getting a diesel for reliability, fuel economy and long term ownership savings are long gone. And probably my opinion is derb did it for foot print reasons and he knows exactly what he needs to get the job done efficiently. Hes been in the game long enough to know. I mean he did have a f450 diesel for a while. Not sure if hes got it still.

    • @paulg5900
      @paulg5900 Před 6 měsíci +3

      @@George88889 I think a 2500 gasser would have similar footprint but handle the weight better.

    • @George88889
      @George88889 Před 6 měsíci

      Im on the fence with that to be honest. As long as you keep it inside the ratings its fine. Those f150s are everywhere on jobsites. And really they are almost in the 3/4 ton class. Its crazy to think back in the older days (80s and 90s) the weight you could move with an old school 3/4 and 1 ton is pretty much what the half tons do these days.. i will say this id by a half ton ford over the other 2 any day. Just because of the ratings and simplicity

      Nah I had 100 gallon transfer tank and toolboxes in my 2009 f150 that weighed 1500lbs, I added heavy duty leaf springs and the truck worked for many years until I could save up to buy my 2019 f350

    Nice truck… just not meant for a welding rig. You have your tools just thrown everywhere looks sloppy.
