Yep same in Nottingham the council and the police jointly decided to remove pubs in area's outside the main town centre because in there word's it would be more helpful for the police when incidents occurred in these pubs they would become overstretched, so if there's just pub's in the town centre there less overstretched , in the town centre theres shops bordered up which happened because of lockdowns and our council loves concrete also, in the center of town there was trees and fountains now just concrete it's depressing where advancement and progression has taken us into unliveing us into an abandoned concrete jungle 👍
Further to my last comment, i just Google mapped Collyhurst and i can tell you, back in the 90s there was Bob hope No Hope you'd get me to live there, but seeing it now, i'd actually think about it, i probably would still say no chance, but seeing it now, all the old rough estates are gone, probably was pulled down donkeys years ago, it's all new and modern there now., still looks ropey though.. it's the kids though, and probably dealing going on as well..
