  • This is how I repiped my double wide mobile home that had polybutylene piping. I replaced the poly-B with PEX through access holes cut into the floor. Thanks to BC Renovation Magazine on CZcams for the idea and confidence to try it. I did have to run the pipe for one fixture from underneath because it was on the end on the house where it was boxed in tight with joists.

Great job. I looked at a doublewide today. All the floors are trash and it has Poly B. After watching this. I think i might buy it.

Alex, great video! 🙂👍 Nicely done. You guys did a great job. I liked your tip about putting the bottle on the end of the pipe to prevent it from poking into the insulation. I will do that next time I re-pipe.
I laughed when I saw your cat appear. When I did mine my neighbor's cat actually went down into the underbelly through one of the access holes. It took her several hours to coax the cat to come out of there.
Your place looks great. It must feel really good to have done that yourself and saved all of that money. 🙂
Thanks for the shout out. I appreciate it!
So, what project is up next?

Bottle on Fish Tape, great tip.I've got to redo my failing copper from underneath, brutal job, especially with the mud from the leak.

Just came here from “BC’s” channel. I’m in a somewhat fortunate situation given I’m working on my mother’s home, and it’s completely empty, and the floors need redone, that includes the cheap, OSB subfloors, most of which are rotten. So, I’ve got the luxury (if you can call it that) to have access to the plumbing, while the floors are being replaced. But, this is still a pain, given that hose is going through walls, then coming up through another room, etc, etc.). So, I’m gonna give it a shot, because I can’t afford to pay someone. Thanks for shooting this, it’s incredibly helpful. *Btw….can you give a list of everything you used? (I.e…tools, fittings, etc..)

I am going to re pipe my 25 year old single wide. It has brittle unreliable c p v c . I am going to use pex. Should I upsize the pipe size to get better water pressure? It’s on a well. So if the main line is 3/4 c p v c , go to 1 inch pex? And if the runs are 1/2 inch c p v c go to 3/4 ?
Because at all 12 fixtures I have to go from 3/4 if I upsize to 1/2 inch? Thanks
