The music you make is just simply amazing. Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us keep it up.
Appreciate you 🙏🏻
Just discovered your channel. Absolutely amazing. Your tone and playing are pure inspiration. Thank you!!!!
Amazing sounds! I thought Live in 11:00 min was beautiful, could you share your configuration on the Timeline? This is inspiring!
Amazing!
Thank you for doing this video & sharing your amazing knowledge.
Adam, this was a great post and very informative for me as a new ambient musician on the Mountain Dulcimer. I look forward to adding more pedals and plug-ins to my new music. Keep up the great work. I will connect with you soon on your Ko-Fi page.
great vid...i subd
So interesting how you've made your guitar sound like a harp through these pedals. Sounds huge and awesome ✨
you are amazing
Your are brilliant!! Thank you for taking the time to explain the process and give us an insight into how you make music, absolute please to listen to what you do I’m at the start of the road and it a blessing to have people to look up to
It is exceptionally generous of you to share this, letting us in on some significant secrets of the magic, how you conjure up those worlds of sound-besides your playing of course! I'm very grateful. 🙏
So glad this could be helpful for you!
I love your tone and play style. Very relaxing and soothing. Lets your mind travel and wander. Thanks for sharing.👌
Thanks for being here and listening ✨🙏🏻✨
Eine Gabe Gottes! Du weißt wie man spielt!
Really love this video.
If it’s not too big of an ask if would be cool to see how you generally approach writing and/or improvisation using this setup
i love long reverbs, where the chords create´s harmony chords ....... sounds beautiful
Found you on IG and appreciate your music. I listen to it to relax. You have such great talent and hope you keep producing awesome vibes.
Really appreciate you listening.
Adam God Bless You! U are the Best Guitar Player all of Time!
I just saw your reel on instagram and was instantly inspired to make some music. I was so curious how you get your tone, and was happy to see you just uploaded this video today. It helps a lot! The only thing is that i only have a multi effects pedal and that i need a lot of time to get all the pedals i want for a custom board. But thanks anyways! I just found your music and will listen to it a lot more and get inspired for my own music for sure
That's so great to hear! A lot of the general principles discussed in the video could still apply to a multi effects unit. Thanks for watching
@@AdamDodson yes i did already try to recreate some things, but ran into some problems. Will try again later. And i am also trying to make a good sound with neural dsp Tim Henson and toneking i believe it's called. Maybe a combination of the pedal and dsp will make it better
Every note this dude plays in this video is amazing.
Thank you Adam

Nice run through your setup. Interesting that you mention the Digitech Digidelay as an under-rated pedal. I've always liked Digitech's pedals and have been using their TimeBender Delay for about a dozen years now and feel the same way. It's features are almost infinite and can be used for some more experimental sounds. I'm also using a couple of other delays including a T.C. Electronic Triple Delay. Also recently purchased a few Walrus Audio pedals including the Slotva, which I'm really digging. Glad I found your "new approach" to making videos... even if I'm a year late. Interesting and informative video. Thanks! I appreciate your choice of amplifier too. Tube amps are nice, but a good solid state amp can be powerful, light & portable, they tend to be roadworthy in my experience, and usually sound very versatile. The Quilter line of amps have a lot to offer in their price range. Thanks again for going over your chain of effects and recording software. Cheers.
Hey Adam! Really great video! Lovely tones. You mentioned that you had Reverb on the entire time: Which Reverb was that? Thank you! Justin
Thanks for this Adam! Nice to hear you voice too. Would love to see more videos like this.
What tuning are you in? Half step dropped D?
Yes, drop D down half step, so drop C# - thanks for asking!
Thanks for showing us this Adam! For such “simple” sounds it’s really quite a complex arrangement I’m finding. Appreciate your contributions bud. Also, I just watched your video on using the Neural DSP Rabea pluggin which was great. I don’t have the Rabea pluggin but I know it’s known for its ambient qualities. I have the Plini pluggin which I really enjoy and wondering if you have used that one as well? Are there some ambient tweaking you’ve been able to do to make that one better? There is a stock setting on there called ‘Paper Moon’ which I really love for its ambient-on-the-edge-of-breakup sound. Just wondering if you’ve used Plini pluggin and your ideas on it perhaps. Thanks Adam!
It's nice to see somebody make similar music with an entirely different set of pedals. One suggestion, I think it's clearer to distinguish the sound of an individual pedal when you're demoing it if you don't have any other pedal engaged. Sounded like you always had a reverb engaged and it wasn't clear the sound alone of that pedal you were demoing. It sounded great anyway. Definitely checking other videos in your channel. Cheers
You are right, I had a reverb on almost rhe whole time because it’s an essential to my style of playing. I’ll be more clear about that next time, thank you for the feedback!
Your music is so inspiring! I wish I could make the same❤ I see so many buttons, how to learn all this? 😅
Time and patience. Thanks for listening!
Hey man ! Love your videos, wondering what song you were playing while using the Pitchfork ? (Kinda resemblance of some songs) Thanks !
Hi! I wasn't trying to play anything specifically, but you're right, this is a common progression used in a lot of music. Thanks for the question 👋🏻
Thanks for sharing. Since the ditto+ is the last pedal in your signal chain are you running your board completely mono?
Hey Adam, just subscribed cause i find your music gorgeous..i was wondering, are you in standard tuning? thanks!
Thank you for subscribing! 99% of the time I am tuned half a step down below standard, or drop c#
Which pickup do you use most on your tele?
What synths and lofi are you using? sounds beautiful
No synths, all guitar here
So many ambient rigs sound so clinical or artifical. You've got some really nice warmth baked in there! I'm also so glad to see an old sleeper (digidelay) in the mix. It makes me smile.
Which one would you suggest for binding your notes together?
Could you share your Timeline presets? If you are willing, they just sound amazing!!
I'd be happy to share! I'll make a video soon going over the settings of some of my favorite sounds. Thanks for this idea
@@AdamDodsonI wanna see this too! 👌
Amazing ♥️ do you have a tab to sell?
I do! Some paid, some free - all available of my Ko-Fi: ko-fi.com/adamdodson
Your pitchfork pedal and chords... How are you able to make it not sound like bass. Is it a setting on the pitchfork? I have the pog and it sounds like bass when playing octave down. I love the sound you are achieving with that 👌
The trick is to only blend in a little bit of sub-octave into your performance. Start with the octave all the way down and slowly add it until you have the weight of the effect, but not so much that it takes over your original tone. Hope that helps!
@@AdamDodsonAwesome! Your style really inspires me brother. Thanks for your help 👍
Hi! Noob question. What exactly is your chain? How do you incorporate your pedalboard in it? Looks like FX loop is not in use in the video. Guitar => Amp => ?
You mentioned that you use real pedals and amp, but also logic. Curious about this… I’m looking into incorporating ableton or another saw into signal chain, to be able to leverage plugins/buses and then come back out and reamp. Are you doing something similar? Or are you using the DAW as the end of the road, so to speak?
You are correct, the DAW is the final destination for my sound, currently. However you definitely could arrange a reamp setup for even more flexibility!
What tuning do you usually play in?
I'm typically half a step down from standard, or in drop c#
Why not run it stereo from your pedalboard?
Because I actually prefer the combination of mono + stereo reverb vs full stereo - I could make an entire video on this.
Fan of Andy O much?
Definitely!
you are cool, BUT IMAGINE THIS WITH BASS WOOOOOOOOOOOO
