as i mentioned, i built this board a few weeks ago on stream with my patrons. it was real fun. haven't been on this big of a pedalboard for a while. BUT i'm really enjoying this whole parallel looping thing, and i know some of you still don't really know what's up with that. maybe this will help!
pedals on the board:
keeley compressor pro
ehx pog2
ehx superego+
chase bliss audio preamp mk2
old blood noise dark star
old blood noise flat light
demedash t-120
strymon el capistan
ehx tri parallel mixer
-loop 1: chase bliss mood + chase bliss/cooper generation loss
-loop 2: chase bliss blooper
-loop 3: hologram microcosm + meris ottobit jr.
strymon iridium
chase bliss condor
meris polymoon
neunaber immerse - Hudba
This is the best pedalboard 2020.... congratulations for you .
Incredible. So thankful for musicians who are creative and different! Love your music and what you do.
WOW, that's a lot of knobs. I used to want a pedalboard that looked something like this. Now i would say this is a great studio board.
Love these pedalboard overview videos... thanks for sharing!
this midi ipad automation at the end was absolutely amazing!
That must have been immense 'fun' doing the cabling for that.
Well worth the effort though.
Andy. So I like to listen to your music when I'm going to sleep... And usually around 2-3am you will come in and start talking... And you do it in the most unobtrusive way..... Usually wakes me up but it's all good.. It's actually very calming. Just thought I wouod mention that. Your very thoughtful and aware... (strange comment I know).
Nice setup! 👍🏼 appreciate the walk through.
The way I’d see such a rich effect blend is through the turmoil of how to order and reorder the connections.
I'M GETTING DIZZY LOOKING AT THIS PEDAL BOARD. I'm also getting jealous. Nice job dude!
Brilliant . . The mixer is the key for me. It’s like a Serge VC Matrix Mixer for guitarists. Very cool. Thanks for the run down.
andy you’re such an innovator 😭 love listening to your music and listen to you talk shop
Could Basically buy my whole board with the Gen Loss and Automate :P
I'm drooling.... fantastic!
my wallet hurts just looking at his board. so does my pride. this is the board my dreams are made of
Super great video!! Many thx!
I learned a lot とても勉強になりました
Such possibilities 🤯
Very inspiring!
Pretty cool board right there! Thanks for the overview, Andy!
My studio board is similarly esoteric/complicated. I found a great improvement in control and creativity investing in two Sound Sculpture Switchblade 8F's to manage switching. This allows me to reorder pedals on the fly, including parallel paths, summing, crossfading, independant gain control on every connection and more; all midi controlled.
Hey Andy. What modifiers (and what order) do you use on your blooper? With the new firmware, I’m trying to figure out a good modifier order. Thanks :)
Great man
Great board concept!!! Any technical issues/problems with the ehx tri parallel mixer ? Btw, what's the single fader ?
Hi Andy, if your Tri Parallel mixer follows stereo pedals in the chain, and said mixer is mono, how do you get a stereo sound from the pedals preceding the mixer?
POG 2 slow attack 🤯
Do you use the zuma just for your strymon pedals or can you use it to power your hologram and meris pedals as well?
Right now I only have the Mondo and it doesn't have the capacity to power all of my pedals that need more power which requires me to plug them into a power strip which I'd rather not do.
The Zuma and it’s smaller siblings are good for pretty much any pedals. Each output is 500ma isolated and there are a couple of switchable 9/12/18v outputs as well.
So for the stereo stuff are you outputting into a second amp or is the signal mixed back into being mono?
Do you find Tri Parallel Mixer colouring your tone-midrange-y?
do you think that hx stomp could ambient?
Bit of overkill. Looks lovely though. Though having now watched it all, its very apparent how much thought you've put into the signal chain as a whole. I've done the big set up before, but I found that it doesn't allow me to get very much out of one particular pedal. And secondly, it takes my attention away from my actual playing and becoming a better player. But hey, you know what you're doing and you're doing it well. Guitar playing is a journey.
That's an interesting way to look at it. I find that a large board in the studio is streamlined since I can set everything up and a/b diff tones while recording pretty quickly. Sometimes I'll set settings up on specific pedals to apply specific techniques to. Like setting up a simple dotted 8th delays to practice U2 style riffs. That's just my take though. It is indeed a journey 👍
I think your missing the point with Andy..His primary goal is to create Ambient soundcapes I'd imagine..so the pedalboard is a tool to enhance that experience...so the more varied the pedals the better to create all different kinds of textures and sounds..I'm an Ambient Bassist in the main and my pedalboard has 13 pedals of reverb, delay, modulation,Loopers, expression and midi..I use them all or in part to create soundcapes..When I want to rock out, funk it up I use none or one or two pedals to do this..It all depends what I'm doing and playing...
i dont have any of these pedals
No vol or expression pedals?
Any parallel fx? Surely you didnt run the whole board in series.
Can I just yous my HX Stomp instead?
Great board for a studio, but it'd be a nightmare on a live stage. One wrong heavy stomp in the heat of the moment, and knobs would be a'flyin'
Wow. Only one distortion pedal.
Umm so what about tone loss with that many cables
it's not that big of a deal. there is a gadget by gigrig called the z-cable that supposedly negates long cable tone loss.
Ah mmm...👍
oh my..this cost so much
WOW. Too little effects. If there were 9 more the sound would be much better.
not enuff pedals
oh.... omg....Dude. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding - professionals aren't really using this type of pedal much these days. You're a young guy, and you might want to reconsider your rig. Most of these pedals are digital anyway. Thanks for your work.
$8000+ pedalboard xD
Don’t get me wrong, I love pedals, but what happened to the days of plugging straight into an amp and let natural talent shine.
shut up
Why not do both?
Those days still happen...Just not today.
I'm not talented so I much prefer pedals.
It’s still happening, just now we just have a bigger instrument. You’d be nuts to think it doesn’t require talent to play this board.
This makes no sense. It's literally just buying the most expensive pedals and putting them in a grid... most of these pedals take months to figure out on their own... I guess people nowadays are far more impressed by what you have than what you can do with them.
Dude has been doing this a long time. Sure seems like he has put in the effort to learn each pedal. Not sure what you're upset about.
@@exploringwithasmr whao, that's not a triggered and upset comment at all.. I am making an observation that this is an unrealistic board financially for most people nor is it very practical for any sort of performance. You buy what you like, use what you like, but don't get butthurt when people have an opinion about it. In fact this is not even your fanboy setup.
@@MintStileswho hurt you?
@@jodin1881 Obviously not you LOL.
