I am very experienced in Squad, and I can confidently say it is one of the most welcoming communities for new players. I can't wait to finally try this mod.
@@caleboster6131 If you mean the game of squad in general than yea. There are dozens of full servers all of them with a great community. If you mean the mod then it isn't exactly the same. Yoi have to be on at peak hours for even one of the 3 servers I have seen to even be near full. And 2 of the servers are only up half the time both with not many people in them. But the game is well worth the asking price even if you do just play the base game.

Sorry but alot of info in this guide is wrong or at best low level and neutral. If you are new, spawn rifleman 10/10. Learn the game before you learn special kits. Walk before running. As a rifleman you should shadow SL or an important kit like HAT or Engie - by doing this you provide high value with the shovel as well as friendly body and rearm for SL, or could be the difference between a dead LAAT and a smoking one if with a HAT. DO shoot vehicals, blast do enough damage to wound EVERY vech, can take down flyers and all vehicals other than heavies have a point to bleed a crewman inside. It's worth it 10/10.
Medic is pretty fine for new players too. You just pick up friendly teammates after the fight is over/if you're behind cover, instead of having to understand when to give your Squad ammo. Medic is also more forgiving because it gives you more bandages and you can also heal yourself if you put yourself in a bad situation
honestly i would play a few regular games of squad before downloading this mod just so you know how the game works (the mod plays more like squad than any other game ive played)

The mod does that if you have squad installed on a extern drive aka not the main drive. Either that or some other bug go to the discord of the mod and they have help guide their

The mod doesn't have loads of players unfortunately. Usually there's one US server with a majority of the community. If they're all empty it probably went down or its not a very popular time of the day. Try joining their discord if you want more info, they will probably have better answers than me!
Hey man this video was very useful but when I try to join the server it says I need to download the mod and it takes me to my web browser and puts me on the steam workshop and it says I’m subscribed to the mod already. Any tips?
@@Andrew-bo7yy Generally, sub to the mod and verify the game files integrity (right click on squad-properties). If you stopped the download midway it might not automatically restart.
When I load into a server, the infinite loading screen always comes up. I've restarted my computer and game multiple times and tried the fixes and they do not work.
How are you supposed to call out enemy positions, i was sayin there was 3 droids on me cause im used to rust but noone did anything, did i do somin wrong?
No I think you’re right. I haven’t played in a bit so correct me if I’m wrong but I believe a new update broke the mod pretty bad and shut it down temporarily. I’d recommend checking out their discord server for updates. 👍
@@Popmandoop i was able to play on the eu server today and it was in the custom server section but then my teammates said that they are going to move to the american one because it was more crowded and i couldnt find it in the custom server section so it looks like not every server got moved to the normal browser
for the servers that you join do you need to join a discord or team speak or something? or do you just talk in game chat? and can you join a server without doing anything special or do you have to sign up for anything
You need to choose a class with a jump pack. I believe the Geonsians and Jetpack troopers have them. It will be right after you choose your squad, and only a certain amount of players can choose those kits so you have to be quick! Hope this helps!
I believe the servers are down right now while they work on the mod. The new Squad infantry update broke a lot of features. They should be posting updates on discord if you want to keep up with their progress though!

Squad is a relatively demanding game. Mods only make it MUCH worse as they're not finely optimized, running on lowest graphics should help.

Idk the custom servers don’t appear for me, downloaded the mod and was hyped asf. But the custom server browser just stays empty idk what to do.
I’ve heard some things have changed in the past 2 years. I would recommend joining their discord. They can definitely help get you in the game 👍
