  • Here are some ideas of how targeting behaviours can be used to engage your dog for care giving behaviours. This is not a how to video or the only way to teach these behaviours but just sharing some training I have been doing. Please consult a professional vet and trainer if you are not a professional, before designing and implementing a training plan for your pet.

    Interesting that he consistently marks (with the ear-piercing whistle) AFTER the the vet has finished and stepped away from the dog. At least initially in training you want to mark DURING the behavior of targeting while being injected, touched, examined, etc.

      Carmen LeBlanc I believe the whistle is a release cue
