Thank your for this video. Finally started with the bucket game. One error which I will correct is that I video'd the training with the cell camera on selfie mode facing the dog too close to the bucket and ended up teaching my dog to look at his image instead of the bucket. Lots of giggles and easy to fix. Looked very cool on the video :) :)

Trying to teach to teach my dog the bucket game and it's going....alright. It doesn't help I taught my dog to look at me for training so she is now very confused as to why I'm not rewarding her for eye contact.

This dog obviously knows to not move toward the bucket. Before you did step 1 did you work impulse control ?

suhaylett no they drugged him... 🤦‍♂️ of course he did but introducing food/interaction keeps on mat vs boring and keep getting up.

Great game, but your video needs some tweaks. Since you are talking about Chirag Patel’s Bucket Game, I would expect you to follow the details. It specifically says use High Value Treats. Do not cheap out on the treats. This is the crux of the entire protocol. Yet you start off by clearly stating you are using (boring) kibble.

Sue C. So if treats were too exciting and the dog couldn’t focus or kept failing that’s a good start? She clearly said she’s feeding his meal, a common thing as lots of treats are never a good thing (10% of calories) and if you can use kibble why resort to treats? Chirag also starts with bucket in air.

huge mistake to talk and talk and talk and the dog looks at the bucket and he looks at the bucket AND you keep on talking... .....

Good eye! ;) That could definitely confuse, frustrate, or slow learning for some dogs.
