Does anyone put planetary tuners in a violin peg box, such as Pegheads? They look exactly like friction tuners, but are very easy to use, and will decrease the chance of breaking a string.
And do you ever use a toothbrush to even out the rosin over the hairs?

Hi Alison didn't cach you yesterday as i was at the panto 😊 so I'm listening today you allways talk about things I need to know ie the bridge, yes it pinged on me this week 😮scary put it all back together but doesn't sound quite the same, have a great Christmas 🌸

Its probably just not in the correct place - even 1-2mm forward or backwards will alter the sound a little.
