During the late 90’s when the kite was introduced to the big t’s, I thought the second skippers trap wire was also? There is a boat or two with double trap wires in these clips. Was this just fun? or were the double traps prior to kite?

Hi Jimmy, the second trap was added by us in Bermuda just for the Bacardi Blast speed trial event. It was a one way speed run so we flipped the second wire over to the port side. The second wire wasn’t added legally until 2001 when the spinnaker and big rig was introduced.
