  • In this video, I build a full-suspension electric bike that boasts a top speed of 58 k/ph and an impressive range of 60 kilometres on a single charge. Utilizing a conversion kit equipped with a hub motor and a 1500-watt ESC, this bike can be assembled in as little as four hours, making it an exceptional choice for those seeking to build the ultimate ebike.

    Nice build, I’ve just built my first 1000w e bike only front suspension though as I was worried about space to mount everything but that bike you got was a good fit for electric.

    • @AaronsCreations
      @AaronsCreations  Před rokem +5

      Yep! I had concerns that the suspension in the center triangle might not allow enough room for the electronics, but fortunately, the frame had a large triangle, so it wasn't an issue.

    Nice build, I have just converted my bike to electric using a kirbebike kit also but using a front hub motor 350 watt with an mtx39 rim paired with a 48v 20ah 960 wh battery LG cells.

    great, I like this bike very much, it must be super comfortable for everyday use to commute to work. I now have a hardtail ebike and would like to see the difference in riding such a full suspension ebike but I wouldn't want to spend a bag of money on a bike either so I will be looking for the same frame in my area.

      @AaronsCreations  Před rokem

      Definitely hard to find a full suspension frame that fits the characteristics needed for a eBike. But worth it!

    when youre riding at the end of the video, youre using nearly all the suspension travel meaning you havent adjusted the rear shock for all the additionl weight. consider increasing the air pressure in the rear shock

    Hey Aaron! Love the build, I am hoping to build something similar. I could be mistaken, but I didn't notice a mention of frame size during your video. If you have a moment to check, I would love to know the size, as I'm wondering if sizing up would be prudent in the interest of maximizing triangle space. Cheers, and thanks for the inspiration!

    Hmm, interesting. I was wondering if it was even possible to do a conversion on a dual suspension. I've got a 2004ish Mongoose Teocali comp I wanna do a conversion on but the frame and suspension setup is a bit different to this bike so I need to a bit more research and go see the guys at the local bike shops to see what they think the best setup would be. 👍🙂

    What do you do of your donor bike has hydraulic brakes? Then u can install the supplied e-brake in those kits that cuts the motor when braking right?

    • @AaronsCreations
      @AaronsCreations  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Both my conversion bikes have hydraulic brakes. In which case, I used the magnetic sensor that senses the presence of the magnet to cut off the motor.

    • @connicrow9463
      @connicrow9463 Před 4 měsíci

      @@AaronsCreations How did you mount the brake (motor cut out) magnet sensors -- glue (what type) ? or tape ?
      In your opinion are the brake cut off sensors really needed? Once throttle is released then motor cuts out right? Most riders would never use BOTH throttle and brake at the same time. Also, on a regular gas motorcycle the brakes don't have any throttle cut out sensors -- so why the need for this device on an electric bike?

    hey there, i was looking to convert a bike and i was wondering instead of putting everything inside the frame have you ever wondered to put the controller or battery on top of the frame in between the handlebar and the seat?

    • @AaronsCreations
      @AaronsCreations  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes, I considered that, however mounting and dismounting from the bike would be less than ideal. As a result, I went with placing the electronics in the body!

      @@AaronsCreations dw I understand! I'm planning on buying the rize x to use as a donor, and swap out the hub motor, controller, and display. They have a mount for dual battery which will be nice for range.
      I'm planning to use a 1000w geared hub with a 52v 40a controller. I'm deciding between the bafang g063 and mxus gdr-19fat right now

    your washers are not installed properly the the torque washer should be on the outside not the inside of the drop out assembly

    • @connicrow9463
      @connicrow9463 Před 4 měsíci

      Torque washers can also be installed on the inside with tooth facing out. Seen this done plenty times. Not an issue really as installer can decide which way is best based on frame and axle fit in the dropouts. There should be comfortable snug fit and clearance for wheel to spin and torque arms to fit properly
