Heat the sheath with heat gun and apply pressure to sheath to improve retention
The frog on the 511 will let you clip two moras together, like a plain one and a serrated one. Put an elastic band in the belt clip and twang the band over the end of the handle. Your companion sheath looks like a clipper sheath. A modern companion sheath is more swoopy. I always planned to drill the end of the handle, and glue a bolt into it for a pomel nut, but i haven't bothered to do so yet. My favourite handle is the clipper.
Just picked up a Companion in SS to compliment my 511c. Thanks for explaining the differences. As you've said, the Comp is is just a refined version of a 511 setup.
Thanks for the comparison. I'll have to get the basic to go with the companion I have.
Good to hear that you enjoyed the video.
Thanks. this is a very nice comparison than i need.

Happy to help.
love these.
I have a Basic and the handle does feel uncomfortable. There's just something about the cheap generic design. The Companion feels much better in the hand.
the frog is there to attach another sheath.
Not a handful of dollars difference--a fistful of dollars.... C'mon I was waiting for you to say it.
Maybe next time.... With inflation, it'll likely be for a few dollars more. 😉
